(Clearwisdom.net) The following are incidents of persecution of practitioners Ms. Zou Jun, Ms. He Xiuzhen, Mr. Wang Shifan, Ms. Yan Weisheng, and Ms. Wang Yao. 610 Office agents from Cangxi County, Guangyuan City were responsible.
Ms. Zou Jun, 65, was a retired worker from the Cangxi County hospital.
At around 10:00 p.m. on November 27, 2008, Cangxi County 610 Office agent Li Yun, together with Cangxi County hospital gate guards Yang Bo and Mu Peng, county police department officer Yue Gang and seven or eight other individuals, knocked on Ms. Zou's door, pretending to be from the hospital. Once Ms. Zou opened the door, they rushed in.
They grabbed the key in Ms. Zou's belt-bag, opened her drawers, and confiscated the money she had just withdrawn from the bank--her pension of more than 9,300 yuan--and other deposit certificates. Then they grabbed her notebook computer, a color printer, a wireless network card, a video-disc player, a camcorder and other personal belongings. They damaged the radio.
They wanted to take Ms. Zou to the local police station. When she was uncooperative, they beat her unconscious. The police dragged her down from the eighth floor, tearing off her shirt in the process. She was lying on the icy-cold ground, her upper body naked.
Once awake again, the abusers attempted to force Ms. Zou to get into the police vehicle. She resisted and shouted on the street, "The police are taking an innocent person! They robbed me of my cash and computer!" Officer Yue Gang kicked Ms. Zou's buttocks hard and pushed her into the police vehicle, hurting her leg in the process.
That night Ms. Zou was detained in the Shuilu Police Station and handcuffed onto a metal bench, preventing her from sleeping. They didn't give her any food. Her handcuffs were removed the next day at lunch-time.
That same day at around 4:00 p.m., persecutor Wang Ning sent Ms. Zou to the Guangyuan Detention Center. He was the Cangxi County 610 Office head and the chief of police.
Ms. Zou was held in isolation in a room without daylight at the Guangyuan Detention Center. After March, Ms. Zou was transferred to the Zizhong Women's Forced Labor Camp. The day of her transfer she developed health problems, but the guards ignored her hypertension and took her forcibly to the labor camp anyway. The Zizhong Labor Camp officials refused to accept her and released her.
Once home again, Cangxi County 610 Office agents froze her pension. Ms. Zou requested they return her legally earned income and confiscated belongings and cash. The officials eventually reinstated her pension and returned what they had frozen, but so far the confiscated computer and other personal belongings and more than 9,300 yuan have not been returned.
Ms. He Xiuzhen, 65, was the wife of an employee at the Cangxi County Coal Construction Plant.
Since July 20, 1999, Ms. He has been sent many times to the Zizhong Women's Labor Camp. At around 10:00 p.m. on November 27, 2008, Li Yun from the Cangxi County 610 Office and a group of officers from the Cangxi Police Department and the Shuilu Police Station rushed into Ms. He's home. They sawed off a burglar-proof door to get in, took away 32 Falun Gong books, arrested Ms. He and took her to the local police station.
Ms. He was handcuffed to a specially-made metal bench and forbidden to eat. She was transferred to the Guangyuan Detention Center two days later on November 29 and sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor a month later. Since then we have had no word from her, nor do we know her whereabouts.
Mr. Wang Shifan: Cangxi County Wenchang Middle School teacher.
Mr. Wang, his wife Ms. Yan Weisheng, and his younger sister Wang Yao, have all suffered brutal persecution at the hands of Cangxi County 610 Office agents. Others involved were police station agents and those from the Domestic Security Division.
During the 2006 Chinese New Year, Mr. Wang 's home and his younger sister Wang Yao's home were ransacked. The police confiscated a personal computer, printer, copy machine, motorcycle, and other personal belongings. Mr. and Mrs. Wang Shifan and Ms. Wang Yao were also arrested and taken to the Cangxi County underground detention center at the Jiuquxi Hotel.
This facility is under the direct command of the Cangxi 610 Office. They transferred personnel there from different units to assemble a team to persecute the Falun Gong practitioners. These people worked three shifts. Each shift had two people monitoring practitioners around the clock. The practitioners were deprived of sleep and not allowed family visits. The family members didn't actually know their detention location. The captors used all manner of abuse: scolding and cursing, and torture instruments to extort confessions.
Mr. Wang Shifan had been deprived of sleep for more than a month. Officials from the Cangxi County Procuratorate filed charges against him. He spoke in his own defense the day of the court hearing. His words dumbfounded the prosecutors; nevertheless, he was still sentenced to ten years in prison.
Mr. Wang was eventually transferred to the Yingshan Coal Mine Prison in Guangyuan City. We lost all contact with him when he was transferred to the nearby Guangyuan Cement Plant Prison.
Ms. Yan Weisheng's family lives in the Wenchang District.
Ms. Yan is Wang Shifan's wife. She was arrested and taken to the Jiuquxi Hotel underground facility and then transferred to the Cangxi Detention Center. A local court sentenced her later on to four years in prison. She was released at the end of her term.
Nevertheless, 610 Officials and the police compelled her to write a guarantee statement and ordered her to register at the local Wenchang Police Station.
Ms. Wang Yao's family lived in the Wenchang District.
Ms. Wang was arrested and taken to the Jiuquxi Hotel Detention Center. The police extorted confessions by torturing her, brainwashing her and depriving her of sleep for more than 10 days. Then they transferred her to the Cangxi Detention Center. One day, detention center doctor Zheng Ze ordered Ms. Wang to kneel. Ms. Wang tried to persuade him not to commit bad deeds against Falun Gong practitioners because this would do him no good. Zheng Ze completely ignored her advice and trampled on her legs. He also beat her chest and stomach, and slapped her face. After he was tired of beating her, he paraded her on the street and put her at the Cangxi County Court front entrance in a public show of humiliation. Back at the detention center, the abusers placed Ms. Wang in handcuffs and shackles. They were removed 12 days later.
The Cangxi County Court sentenced her to four years in prison. She was incarcerated at Yinma Prison in Sichuan Province.
