(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 30 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 35 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Genfa was secretly taken to Tai'an City Prison on May 17, 2010. On June 1, 2010, "visiting day" according to a prison notice, his family went early to the prison in hopes of seeing him. However, the guards refused to allow them to visit and would only let them leave cash and food for him.

Ms. Wang Jingcui, an employee of Daqing City Oil Production Fifth Factory, was sentenced to three years in prison at the Harbin City Women's Prison. Her term ends on June 9, 2010.

11. [Juye County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ning Zhiqun Arrested Recently
On the afternoon of May 26, 2010, Pang Xin, leader of the Domestic Security Division in Juye County, and officers from the Tianzhuang Town Police Station stormed into Mr. Ning Zhiqun's home, which is located in Daningzhuang Village. They ransacked his home without showing any paperwork. They took away a computer, a printer, and other items. Mr. Ning's wife, also a practitioner, was arrested and taken to the Tianzhuang Police Station. She was transferred to the Juye County Detention Center a day later.
Two years ago, Mr. Ning was sentenced to seven years in prison. He is still being held in the Tai'an City Prison in Shandong Province.

12. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Sun Bingru Arrested
On the afternoon of May 29, 2010, six practitioners from Hunyuan County, Datong City, were studying the Fa together at Ms. Li Xiuyun's home. She is in her 70s. The practitioners were arrested by police officer Jia Sibiao, leader of County Domestic Security Division, and officers from the county downtown police station. They are being held at the Datong City Detention Center.
These six practitioners are: Mr. Sun Bingru (in his 60s), Ms. Li Xiuyun, Ms. Niu Guiqin (approximately 65 years old), Ms. Liu (first name unknown, approximately 45), Ms. Zhizi (approximately 42), Ms. Erdan (approximately 55).

13. [Beijing] Ms. An Qihui Arrested
At the end of May 2010, Ms. An Qihui, Ms. Niu Yuhua, and Ms. Li Jianmei from Baizhuang, the Huairou District, Beijing, were reported and arrested.
14. [Shaoyang County, Hunan Province] Mr. Long's Home Ransacked Three Times within a Month
On May 7, May 10, and May 27, 2010, officers from the Xinshao County of Shaoyang City stormed into the home of Mr. Long, a retired teacher in his 80s, and ransacked it. They failed to get anything on May 7. On May 10, they took away a whole pile of Dafa books. On May 27, 2010, they grabbed a cell phone and a phone book. At the same time, police officers also paid Mr. Long's daughter-in-law to track his schedule and whereabouts.
15. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xiuying Arrested
Ms. Wang Xiuying from Dakouqin Town, the Longtan District, Jilin City, was arrested by officers from the Dakouqin Town Police Station at 8:00 a.m., on May 30, 2010. She was taken to the Xiaobaishan Detention Center in Jilin Province. Her feet are disabled.
16. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wang Yinwen Arrested
On the afternoon of June 11, 2010, Mr. Wang Yinwen from Liujia Village, Shigu Town, the Weibin District, Baoji City, was arrested by officers from the Baoji City 610 Office at home. His home was ransacked.
Mr. Wang Yinwen is a younger brother of Mr. Wang Jianwen. Mr. Wang Jianwen was arrested in March 2009 and is being held in Weinan Prison in Shaanxi Province.
17. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lu Shuzhen Arrested
Ms. Lu Shuzhen from the Dongli District, Harbin City, was arrested in her home by Qiu Haochun and other officers from the Daqing Road Police Station in the Dongli District.

18. [Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yutan and Ms. Tan Guijuan's Whereabout Unknown after Being Arrested
Ms. Liu Yutan and Ms. Tan Guijuan, who left home to avoid persecution, were arrested by officers from the High-tech Production Zone Police Station, Fushan District, Yantai City. Then they were taken to Longkou City, Yantai City.
19. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested in Lincheng County
On the morning of June 2, 2010, Mr. Zhao Lianbin from Tongyageng Village, Lincheng County, was arrested at home by officers from the township police station and county police department. At noon he was taken to the Xingtai Second Detention Center (a brainwashing center) and subjected to abuse. One day before, Mr. Zhu Guanzhen from Shuinansi was also arrested.

20. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Xu's Home Ransacked
Sun Qingjun, secretary of the Luofa Town Political and Judiciary Committee, and dozens of other officers, stormed into Ms. Zhao Xu's home on the afternoon of June 1, 2010. Ms. Zhao was not at home. The officers searched all over the home but did not find anything.

21. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Liangzhen Arrested
Ms. Luo Liangzhen from Foshan City was reported by security staff and arrested as she distributed Shen Yun DVDs on the afternoon of May 29, 2010. At 9:00 p.m., one uniformed officer and seven in plainclothes pried open the door of Ms. Luo Liangzhen's home and ransacked it. They took away a computer, a printer, a DVD-burner, a laser printer, and Dafa books. When her family saw Ms. Luo, she was bleeding from injuries to her face and arms. The officers did not leave until midnight.
22. [Ling County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Xiuying Passed Away as a Result of Persecution
Ms. Zhu Xiuying from Xijiaozhai Village, Wangzhuang Town, Ling County, was arrested on August 14, 2007, by officers from the Ling County Police Department and Huiwangzhuang Town Police Station. One month after she was held in Ling County, she was taken to the Jinan City First Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she endured abuse for a year and nine months. In March 2009, she was released and allowed to return home. Her family was brainwashed by the CCP and prevented her from doing the Falun Gong exercises, leading her health to deteriorate. In January 2010, she passed away.

24. [Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Jiazhen's Term Extended at Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Huang Jiazhen is employed at the Hunchun City Agriculture Bureau. On November 28, 2008, she was arrested in Yanji City and sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was able to escape. On September 1, 2009, she was again arrested at her father's home. On September 21, 2009, she was taken to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. She went on a hunger strike to protest her being watched by criminal inmates. They tied her arms and legs to the four corners of a bed. She was not allowed to move from the bed, even when she needed to use the toilet. She was removed from the bed when she had a fever and had to be given an IV. Her family asked to visit her, but they were not allowed to. They were not even allowed to send her clothes and other items.
Ms. Huang went on a hunger strike and has been force-fed many times. She was tied to a bed for seven days and nights. The labor camp authorities have extended her term to August 29, 2010.

The Changzhou City 610 Office has arrested several practitioners, including Ms. Liao Yongge and Mr. Xu Ming. Ms. Liao's husband, Mr. Cheng Yuhong, has been held at the Suzhou City Prison for almost ten years.
27. [Taonan City, Jilin Province] Police Officers Try to Arrest Ms. Li Xueying
In mid-May of 2010, police officers Zhang Xuesong and Guo Yi went to Ms. Li Xuying's workplace to arrest her. Ms. Li was able to escape.

32. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wei Rongjiu Arrested at Home
Ms. Wei Rongjiu from Xinwang Village, Peishan Township, Yi County, Baoding City, is over 50 years old. At noon on May 28, 2010, this practitioner was arrested at home and held at the Peishan Township Police Station. On May 29, 2010, she was taken to the Yi County Detention Center.
33. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Lingqiu Again Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Meng Lingqiu from Shuigoujian Village, Qiaoguan Town, Changle County, was arrested at home by the Changle County 610 Office and Domestic Security Division on May 13, 2009. Her father-in-law, Mr. Liu Yongchun, was arrested at the same time. Mr. Liu was sentenced to eight years in prison and is being held at Jinan Prison. Ms. Meng was recently released after serving one year of forced labor. Zhao Shisheng, a police officer from Changle County Domestic Security Division, went to her home and forced her husband to take Ms. Meng to Jingshan Water Tank Brainwashing Center in Beiyan.

34. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fan Xubin Tortured at Xinsheng Prison, Panjin City
Mr. Fan Xuebin from Yingkou City, in his 40s, was held in the No. 3 Ward of Xinsheng Prison, Panjin City. Every day, he was tortured with the "Big hang-up" (1).

(1) Big hang-up - There are two forms in this torture: (1) With both hands cuffed behind the back and only toes touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to a metal window frame; (2) One hand is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions.
