(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Liao Ziying. I am the daughter of Lu Yuancui, 53, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xichang City, Sichuan Province. I would like to talk about my mother's experience.
Practicing Falun Gong saves my mother from death
Before my mom started practicing Falun Gong, she had various health problems including gynecological disorders, with her menopause starting when she was only 30. At the age of 38, she went to the West-China University Hospital, in Chengdu City, to undergo surgery on a blue scar on her forehead. All of our family thought that the operation would be successful, but it wasn't long before the scar reappeared, and diagnosed as a tumor. We decided on surgery again, but the doctor told my father that her condition was so severe that surgery would be a waste of money. The doctor advised us to return home, and just take good care of her until she passed away. They said it would be a miracle if she lived to the age of forty.
We followed the doctor's advice and tried to make my mother feel comfortable. We could only help lift her mood, but could do nothing for the pain she was suffering.
My mom decided that she wanted to learn Falun Gong, when she heard that many people with incurable diseases had been healed after practicing cultivation. When she started to cultivate, compassionate Master helped my mom and cleansed her body. By studying the Fa, doing the exercises, and behaving in accordance with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she gradually improved her xinxing and all her illnesses disappeared. She even began to menstrate again, and the scar on her forehead was gone. My mom became much healthier, and had a rosiness to her face. When the doctor heard about my mom's dramatic recovery by practicing Falun Gong, he said it was so miraculous. My mom often said that since taking up cultivation, it was like she has been reborn. She thanks Master and Falun Gong from the bottom of her heart.
Becoming a kind wife and mother
Back in the 1990's, my uncle borrowed nearly 70,000 yuan from us, and to this date, he has still not paid any of it back. Nearly half of the money was from a bank loan taken out in my dad's name. Before my mom took up cultivation, she often argued with my dad and uncle about this. My mom thought it was so unfair, as all of our family knew that my dad's salary is the only income our familiy has, and 70,000 yuan was quite a lot of money back then.
Since practicing Falun Gong, my mom knows that a practitioner should do things according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and so she wasn't angry about the money anymore. My parents have also fully paid back the bank loan. All of our family, including my uncle, are very moved to see the changes in my mom's attitude since becoming a practitioner. By studying the Fa, my mom realized that a cultivator should always be kind to people.
We used to be beaten by our mom for not studying well at school and we were so scared of her. But when she began cultivating in Falun Gong, she stopped beating us, and instead, patiently talked to us and told us how to be a good person according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and to always think of others. Gradually, we were able to understand and appreciate all my parents' hard work to make sure their kids were educated. Our studies at school improved and we all ended up furthering our studies in college. Now we all have jobs.
Falun Gong has greatly benefited my mom and she diligently keeps cultivating, despite the ten years of the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. She talks about Falun Gong to everyone she meets, and wants everyone to know "Falun Gong is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" She wants all Chinese people to know the beauty of Falun Gong and become healthy and kind people, and that they will then tell others that "Falun Gong is good!"
My mom is now illegally detained for her belief. I am worried that her health may deteriorate and her illnesses return, as she may not be able study the Fa and do the exercises, under the harsh and brutal conditions that practitioners are subjected to.
