(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 27 cities or counties in 15 provinces. In this report, 20 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 47 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xing Yanliang Locked in a Small Isolation Cell in Tailai Prison on April 25, 2010
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Jingying and Ms. Wu Lianfang Arrested
On April 23, 2010, the police arrested Ms. Wang Jingying, 54, a retiree from the Dongdian Second Company, Lingshui Community, Dalian City, and Ms. Wu Lianfang, 56, also retired. Their homes were ransacked and their whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Hefei, Anhui Province] Ms. Ma Guiying Arrested
Ms. Ma Guiying, 60, lives on Huangshan Road, Hefei City. On the morning of April 14, 2010, she was arrested by three or four officers from the Wuhu Road Police Station. The police took away Dafa books and a photo of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Ma is now detained in a brainwashing center.
4. [Kaifeng, Henan Province] Mr. Guo Junxin and Others Persecuted
On April 13, 2010, the deputy chief and several other officers from the Duliang Township Kaifeng County Police Station arrested Mr. Guo Junxin, who lives in Sanguozhai Village, Duliang Township, Kaifeng County, Kaifeng City. His home was also ransacked. Mr. Guo is being detained in the Kaifeng County Detention Center. On the same day, officers from the Liudian Township Police Station arrested Mr. Hang Shumao from Kaifeng County. He is being held in the Kaifeng County Detention Center.

5. [Tianjin City] Information about the Persecution of Ms. An Huaifang
On December 21, 2000, the police and leaders of the Tianshenshan Clothing Factory took away Ms. An Huaifang and her 10-month-old baby from their home. They were taken to the factory where she worked and guarded by two workers.
On January 5, 2001, Ms. An's employer sent her to the Dayu Brainwashing Center. On February 12, 2001, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was imprisoned in the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City.
On March 18, 2005, while passing through the Baodi District of Tianjin City, Ms. An was arrested for clarifying the truth. The police ransacked her home and took a computer, an MP3 player, and a cell phone. She was then sentenced to five years in prison. While in prison, Ms. An was brutally tortured in an attempt to force her to give up her belief. The forced labor she had to do was very difficult. She suffered both mentally and physically. Her family members are suffering greatly as a result of intense pressure.
6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Peifang Arrested
On April 23, Ms. Huang Pei Fang, 63, was arrested while she was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in Yaodu Town in the Qingbaijiang District and sent to the Qingbaijiang Detention Center. Between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on April 24, police officers ransacked her home and took two sacks of informational materials.
7. [Hebei Province] Boye County Court Tried Ms. Zhai Linya
Officers from the Boye County Police Department arrested Ms. Zhai Linya, 65, from Beizhu Village, Boye County, and she has been in the Li County Detention Center since September 23, 2009. On October 30, 2009, the Boye County Court authorized the illegal arrest, and her case will go to trial.
Ms. Zhai Linya went to Beijing to appeal in 2001. She was arrested and detained by the Boye County police. She was able to escape, but had to move from place to place for more than four years to avoid arrest.

8. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Dawei Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
On August 27, 2009, officers from the Jinzhou District Police Station, Dalian City, arrested Mr. Li Dawei. He was sentenced to three years and taken to Dalian City Prison. The court did not notify his family of the trial.

11. [Anqiu, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Lanying Persecuted and Becomes Homeless
On December 15, 2009, officers from the Anqiu City 610 Office together with the Domestic Security and the Dawenhe Ecological Zone Police Station entered the rented room of Ms. Songlan Ying, 66, in an attempt to arrest her. Ms. Song wasn't home at the time. The police stayed in her rented room for several days and used up her cooking oil, eggs and coal during their stay. Ms. Song was forced to become homeless to avoid arrest.
12. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Zheng Zuoyu Arrested
Ms. Zheng Zuoyu is a schoolteacher from Pantang Town, the Xinzhou District, Wuhan City. Officers from the 610 Office arrested her during the new year for telling people the facts about Falun Gong. She was held in a women's forced labor camp for 15 days. On April 23, 2010, Ms. Zheng was arrested again by the 610 Office and sent her to the Xinzhou District Brainwashing Center.
13. [Huaibin County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Jing and Others Arrested
At about 2 p.m. on April 26, 2010, police officers Han Dejun and Wang Yawei and a dozen officers broke into the homes of Ms. Wang Jing, Ms. Gao Lan, Ms. Zhang Qun, Ms. Hua Dayue, Ms. Wang Baoxia, Ms. He Ziqing, and Ms. Xu. They were held in a detention center.
14. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhang Xuezhi Arrested
On April 23, 2010, Mr. Zhang Xuezhi, who was working at a store in Dongying City, was informed that he needed to apply for a temporary residence permit by the Haojia Police Station in Dongying City, Shandong Province. The police took away a photo and his driver's license to register him online. On the morning of April 26, 2010, Mr. Zhang was arrested by officers from the Haojia Police Station and taken to the Kenli County Detention Center. At 3 p.m. the following day, officers from the Xigu Police Station in the Hongqiao District took him back to Tianjin City.

15. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Shaoyan Developed Mental Disorder from Torture and Cannot Take Care of Herself in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
16. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Yuefei and Ms. Yu Lu Arrested
Mr. Wang Yuefei and Ms. Yu Lu were arrested by the authorities in Beijing on April 25, 2010. They are held in Changping.
17. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Cheng Shiyun Held in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for Seventeen Months

Ms. Li Ling from Jinan City was arrested and sent to the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Center around noon on April 22, 2010.
19. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Junying Arrested
Ms. Wang Junying, 55, who lives in the Dongdian Second Power Company family residence building in Lingshui Community, Dalian Gaoxinyuan District, was arrested at home and her house was ransacked on April 23, 2010.

20. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Zhongjing Arrested
On the evening of April 26, 2010, Ms. Zhang Zhongjing was arrested while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials and taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.
21. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wan Xiulan Sentenced
Ms. Wan Xiulan, 70, was arrested on July 27, 2009, by officers from the Yangguan Police Station while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in the Hunnanxin District. She was detained in the Zaohua District Detention Center. On March 6, 2010, she was sentenced to three years in prison and is imprisoned in the Liaoning Women's Prison.
22. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Jingru Arrested
Ms. Gao Jingru, 53, continued to practice Falun Gong although her daughter-in-law, Tong Haiyan, reported her to the Shimen County Police Station for practicing. On April 19, 2010, the police came to harass her. Around 10 a.m. the following morning, officers from the Shimen Police Station, the national security, and the 610 Office arrested her. She was held in the Zunhua Detention Center. On April 22, 2010, residents leaders from Liguantun Village, Xuankuang, went to ask for her release, but the police refused because of Ms. Gao's refusal to give up Falun Gong.

Ms. Li Chunxia from Ligezhuang, Beimeng; Ms. Liu Guixin from Sunying; Ms. Lu Guangxiu from Wangjia Village; and Ms. Wang Jin'e from Xiaonanmeng were sentenced to one year of forced labor at the Wangcun Labor Camp.
26. [Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Six Practitioners Including Mr. Wu Guangjun Arrested
Recently, police officers from Xin'an Meng, Inner Mongolia, arrested six practitioners including Mr. Wu Guangjun and his sister, Mr. Xin Limin, a man with the given name of Xiaokui (family name unknown), Mr. Wu Shuai, and Ms. Hu Yanling.
27. [Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Junhong Mistreated at Brainwashing Center
On April 24, 2010, Ms. Yang Junhong from Shengfang Town was arrested at home by officer Liu Dongqi of the Shengfang Town Political and Judiciary Committee, Zhao Huiqiang from the Hedong Police Station, and Gao Qiang. She was taken to the Langfang City Brainwashing Center. They tried to force her to write a guarantee statement that stated she would not do the Falun Dafa exercises. Ms. Yang developed high blood pressure as the result of the persecution.

28. [Chongqing] Ms. Xie Xiaju Sentenced to Three Years in Prison and Detained at Pengshui County Detention Center in Chongqing
29. [Lucheng City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Chen Baolan Arrested
Ms .Chen Baolan, in her 40s, was followed and reported when she clarified the truth to two middle school students at the Shanxi Fertilizer Factory at approximately 1:00 p.m. on April 25, 2010. At 4:30 p.m., she was arrested by officers from the Luheng and the Changzhi 610 National Security Division and her home was ransacked. They confiscated truth-clarifying materials and a computer. Ms. Chen is held at the Changzhi City Detention Center.
30. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhu Fengcheng Arrested
On April 27, 2010, Mr. Zhu Fengcheng from Dachang County was arrested where he works. Later, police officers went to his home and took 50 Shen Yun DVDs. When they saw a satellite receiver for NTDTV, they asked Mr. Zhu's wife who had installed the receiver and where the DVDs came from. The police also told the couple if Mr. Zhu were to give them the information they wanted, then their punishment would be less.

31. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Du Shiyin Arrested
Mr. Du Shiyin from Guiyang City was reported by parents when he clarified the truth to students on April 20, 2010. His whereabouts are unknown.
32. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Qingfang Arrested
Ms .Meng Qingfang was reported when she was clarifying the truth on April 25, 2010. She was arrested by police officers from the Paoya Station, Dalian City. Ms. Meng is held at the Yaojia Police Station. Her preschool aged child has been left home without care.

34. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Tianling Arrested
On April 27, 2010, Ms. Zhou Tianling, a senior citizen from Kebei Road, Chengdu City, was arrested after she went out to clarify the truth and distribute Shen Yun DVDs. Her whereabouts is unknown.
35. [Chongqing City] Ms. He Yulian Arrested
Ms. He Yulian, in her 70s, from the Wanzhou District, Chongqing City, went to a market in Lijiahe Town in the Wanzhou District at 10:00 a.m., on April 28, 2010. She was arrested by officers from the Lijiahe Station and is held at the Lihe Police Station.

36. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Jingping and Ms. He Xinping Arrested
Ms. Sun Jingping is from Beijing, over 30, physically disabled, and once sentenced for tapping into the cable TV system to broadcast truth-clarifying information, and Ms. He Xinping, in her 40s, who lives in the Jinsong Region, the Chaoyang District, were arrested while they were at Ms. Sun Jingping's home on the afternoon of April 26, 2010. Their whereabouts are unknown. They were previously sentenced to seven years in prison and held at the Beijing Women's Prison. Ms. He was released in August 2008. Ms. Sun was released just one year ago.
37. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guiyun Arrested
On April 28, 2010, Ms. Wang Guiyun was followed and reported to police officers when she clarified the truth. She was then arrested at 10:00 p.m. at the Qiansheng Grocery Store. Ms. Wang is held at the Xishan Police Station.
38. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Shiyou Arrested
On the afternoon of April 26, 2010, Mr. Wang Shiyou, 64, a kidney stone specialist, was arrested by police officers from the National Security Division, Luoning County Department. His home was also ransacked. His notebook computer and 3,000 yuan in cash were confiscated. Police officers ordered the director of the Health Bureau to stop Mr. Wang's son and daughter from working and so they were kept from working.
As a result of the persecution, Mr. Wang has high blood pressure. He is held at the Luoning County Detention Center.

Ms. Li Fengzhi, who lives near the Huanggui District Experimentation Elementary School, was reported by guards when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials at the residential building of the military organization near her home a few days ago. She was arrested by police officers from the local station who also ransacked her home. Ms. Li was taken to the Zaohua District Detention Center.
41. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Jihai Arrested
On the morning of April 28, 2010, Mr. Chen Jihai, from Zhangjia Village, No. 5 Group, Erdao Township, Fengman District, Jilin City, was arrested at home by officers from the National Security Division, from the Jilin City 610 Office, and from the Fengman District 610 Office.
42. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. He Ming Tortured at Guangdong Province Women's Prison
Ms. He Ming was sentenced to three years in prison by police officers from the Shenzhen City 610 Office. Her term will expire in June 2010. Ms. He was severely tortured in prison, but she was not "transformed." This 70-year-old woman, who is in very weak condition, was tortured continuously at the Guangdong Province Women's Prison.
43. {Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
On April 27, 2010, many practitioners were arrested in the Wuchang District of Wuhan City. Ms. Yan Fuxiang was taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center. Ms. Zhang Juxiang was taken to the Women's Education Center. The whereabouts of other practitioners, including Ms. Zheng Shuangfeng, Ms. Wu Keyan, Ms. Wu, an elderly woman, and Ms. Chen Fengying, is unclear.

On the night of April 25, 2010, Ms. Xie Xiaofang from Hanyin County was arrested by police officers from the Hanyin County National Security Division. Her whereabouts is not known.

On the morning of April 27, 2010, Ms. Tang Linghua and Mr. Luo (first name unknown) from Yongzhou City were reported when they distributed truth-clarifying materials and encouraged people to do the "three withdrawals" (withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations) in Youpingxu Town, Yongzhou City. Mr. Luo, in his 70s, was arrested at night. Ms. Tang Linghua was taken to the Lingling Detention Center.
