(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company dazzled the audience in Toledo, Ohio, on Friday night, May 14. Accompanied by the Shen Yun International Company Orchestra, the New York-based company presented classical Chinese dance and music in a glorious expression of ancient Chinese artistry.

Attending the show along with their son Mike Bell, the Mayor of the City of Toledo, Ohio, Mr. Norman A. Bell and his wife Ora thought the performance was fantastic and commended the artists for all the hard work involved. Mrs. Bell said, "I don't even know how Shen Yun does it, and in four years they've done new programs each time. Wow!"

The couple was delighted by the performances and joined audience members in honoring the artists with standing ovations during the two curtain calls.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Bell were impressed by the synchronized dancing, with so many individuals acting as one. Mr. Bell said he was touched by the lyrics of the songs because "they dealt with the human condition ... and then moving on with your life beyond the material."

Artistic Director Deeply Impressed

Mr. Burgoine and his wife were among the enthusiastic audience at Toledo's Stranahan Theater on May 14, to see Shen Yun bring to life China's ancient culture through to the present in Chinese classical dance, music, and song.

Mr. Burgoine was impressed "with the dancing, the colors, the staging, and the overall artistic quality," he said.

As a professional dancer and choreographer, Mr. Burgoine highly praised the show and said, "The choreography is beautiful and holds to the very traditional."

He was impressed with the story-based dances depicting China's heroic legends, folkloric traditions, and modern stories of astounding courage. "They explain the stories and everything so well, through the dance and through the singing. The precision of the music with the dancing is excellent," Mr. Burgoine said.

Both shared their appreciation of having a live orchestra to complement the show.

Centenarian Uplifted by the Performances

Ms. Olga Boone, who will be 102 years old this September, was in the audience at the Stranahan Theater on May 14 to experience Shen Yun Performing Arts.

"Every child should see this. This is life from the beginning to the end, and there is no end when you've got things like this to see and watch, you know. It's fantastic! I think this is the thing that develops your soul more than anything else," she said.

The Toledo centenarian said she was inspired and uplifted by the performances: "Love, love is responsible for this. It's just so inspirational. You never see really old, old people out here like this. It took a lot to be here. It's just so inspirational, and I am going to keep on going, keep on going," Ms. Boone said.

Having been a dancer all of her life, Ms. Boone said, "The people with certain talents ... is a gift of God to all of us, and this show is so beautiful. It shows men and women at their best. They just keeping going on and doing wonderful things."
