Georgia: Mayor of the City of Duluth Proclaims May 13, 2010 as Falun Dafa Day in the City
(Clearwisdom.net) On the occasion of the 2010 World Falun Dafa Day, Mayor Nancy Harris of the City of Duluth, Georgia, on behalf of the citizens of Duluth, proclaimed May 13, 2010 as "Falun Dafa Day" in their City.

Whereas, Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an ancient practice of exercise, meditation, and study that promotes good spirit and mental health; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa is based on the principles of Zhen-Shan-Ren, which are "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance," as the virtue of the universe; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant and more compassionate society; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa is practiced worldwide and emphasizes the cultivation and of moral character, improving quality of life for many.
Whereas, Falun Dafa is practiced all over Georgia by many professional citizens of all ages
Now, Therefore, I, Nancy Harris, Mayor of Duluth, and on behalf of the citizens of Duluth, do hereby proclaim May 13, 2010 as "Falun Dafa Day" in our City.
