(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Tianjin] Ms. Jing Xiurong on the Verge of Death in the Hebei Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Jing Xiurong from Tianjin is being detained in the Hebei Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp. As a result of persecution, she has had symptoms of severe lung disease. She has been detained in an isolated room. The camp will not allow her to be released on bail for medical treatment because Ms. Jing refuses to write the guarantee statement to give up practicing Falun Gong.
2. [Jintan, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Youde Arrested
On the afternoon of March 18, 2010, Ms. Shi Youde went out to a garden. She was arrested and her home was ransacked.
Ms. Shi Youde, 62 years old, worked in the Jintan Education Worker Union. She was detained in a forced labor camp for 18 months and released in 2002.

Mr. Lu Li, 31, was arrested by officers from the Haizhu Branch of Guangzhou Police Department in May 2009 because he talked to people about Falun Gong. In December 2009, the Haizhu District Court sentenced him to three years in prison.

On March 18, 2010, Ms. Qu Shumin and another practitioner watched Shen Yun DVDs at home. Her husband, Yu Rong, dragged her outside and reported her to police. Two officers from the Heshanlu Police Station in Laiyang City rushed into her home and took Falun Gong materials. The police intended to take Ms. Qu away, but Yu Rong's older sister, who rushed to Ms. Qu's home in time, stopped them. The police did not leave until Ms. Qu's family wrote a guarantee statement.

On March 19, 2010, Ms. Cao Fenglan was taken away from her home by officers from the Dongfeng Police Station and the Jincheng Police Department. At the same time, Ms. Yuan Yawen was also arrested.
