(Clearwisdom.net) The Global Service Center For Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held a rally at Boston Common on April 3, 2010. The rally celebrated the fact that 70 million people have publicly quit the CCP and its affiliations. Invited guests spoke at the rally, calling for more Chinese people to join the movement.

Terri Pawson traveled to Massachusetts from Connecticut. She learned about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China from the media. After hearing speakers at the rally talk about the CCP's illegal organ removal from living practitioners, Pawson condemned the atrocity.

Yang Jianli, chair of the Foundation for China in the 21st Century, said that the CCP would not have lasted one day had the Chinese people known what it really was. He condemned the information blockade in China and how the CCP hides behind it to commit crimes against its people. "The CCP is an evil force, and people should unite and be against it," said Yang.

Wu Biyun, a Falun Gong practitioner who fled to the US with help from the UN, was once imprisoned in China for her belief. She was tortured and her family was harassed constantly. Her husband, unable to withstand the pressure, divorced her, and her teenage son could not go to school like other children.

A senior Chinese woman who was a CCP member for dozens of years detested what she learned about the CCP at the rally. She quit the CCP using her real name and said, "I am glad that I have gained a new life before Easter. The CCP will collapse if more people quit it."

Zhang Jieqiong and Lin Lanyun used to be members of the China Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. They came to the rally because they wanted to quit these organizations. They made statements announcing their quitting the CCP at the rally and thanked the volunteers at the service center for their support and help.
