(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 27 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 19 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Renshou County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Yunxia in Critical Condition and Sentenced
Ms. Chen Yunxia, from Wenlin Town, Renshou County, was arrested by Xie Wenhua from the National Security Divison and others on July 6, 2007. She is being held at the Renshou County Detention Center. On February 9, 2010, Ms. Chen was severely tortured and in critical condition. She was then secretly sentenced to five years in prison. The family was unaware of the sentence until February 11, 2010.
2. [Shandong Province] Over One Hundred Practitioners Held at the Third Ward, Jinan City First Labor Camp
3. [Shanghai] Mr. Ge Xiaotian Arrested Again in Jinshan District
In February 2010, Mr. Ge Xiaotian was monitored while he distributed truth-clarifying materials. He was arrested by officers of the local National Security Division. His home was also ransacked.
Mr. Ge had been arrested previously. In November 2000, he was detained. In 2004, he was taken into custody five days before his suspended jail term was to expire. On June 17, 2008, Mr. Ge was reported when he was clarifying the truth and arrested. Later, he was sentenced to one year of forced labor.
4. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Yuzhi Arrested
At 10:00 a.m., on March 2, 2010, near the Liaocheng City Railway Station, Shandong Province, Ms. Ma Yuzhi and her 10-year-old granddaughter were reported. 610 Office agents from the Dongchangfu District performed a body search. Later, the grandmother and granddaughter were followed and arrested. The homes of Yuzhi's two daughters were ransacked. Her granddaughter was released that night but Ms. Ma is still being held.
5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] More Information about Mr. Shen Guanghai and His Wife
Mr. Shen Guanghai, of Bayuquan District, Yingkou City, and Ms. Teng Wenmin were arrested and held for over six months. Ms. Teng Wenmin's elderly father was unable to take care of the couple's son. On March 3, 2010, the grandson was taken to the Bayuquan District National Security Division. That night, seven to eight people from the court, procurator, and the police department, led by Li Yuanqing from the National Security Division, took the child back home. They said that the couple would be released the following Tuesday.
6. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gui Xia Arrested Leaving Child Behind
Police officers from the Chalukou Town, Dehui City, ransacked Ms. Gui Xia's home, located at the Matuozitun, Majiadian on March 2, 2010, and arrested her. Ms. Gui was held at the Dehui City Detention Center. She is a single parent and her 5-year-old child was left home alone.
7. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Qingfang Arrested
On the afternoon of March 2, 2010, a group of police officers from the National Security Division, Linjiang City Police Department, entered and ransacked Ms. Guo Qingfang's home. Ms. Guo was arrested and many of her personal things were taken away. Ms. Guo is being held at the Linjiang City Detention Center.
8. [Liaoning Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested in Jinzhou City
Before the Chinese New Year, many Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in Jinzhou City. Seven of those who were arrested on January 27, 2010, were taken to the Masanjia Labor Camp. Those taken to the camp include: Ms. Li Minzhi, Mr. Jia Jingwen, Ms. Wang Yinghua, Ms. Zhou Zhibao, Hua (gender and given name unknown), and Mr. Jiang Dawei. Mr. Cao and Mr. Jiang were released because of health problems. The health of Ms. Dong Ying and Ms. Fu Yan also deteriorated due to persecution, and they are being held at the Jinzhou City Detention Center.
9. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yuzhen Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Ms. Wang Yuzhen lives at No. 2 Street, Xing'an District, Hegang City. On April 29, 2002, five police officers from the Xing'an Road Department, Xing'an District, Hegang City, broke into and ransacked her home. They found nothing, but coerced Ms. Wang into going to the Xiang'an Road Police Station, where she was held in detention. On June 9, 2002, she was sentenced to three years, and taken to the Jiamusi Labor Camp. Ms. Wang was treated as a slave at the labor camp. She was tortured both mentally and physically. Although her term was to expired on September 17, 2004, she needed to sign a release statement or otherwise she would be not released. A guard named Hou (female) extorted 100 yuan from her and then she was released.
10. [Huichun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Su Yongjiang's Personal Property Stolen
At 9:00 a.m., on February 27, 2010, police officers from the Huichun City National Security Division and Guangming Street Police Department, and community police officers went to Mr. Su Yongjiang's home. They opened the door with a key while no one was at home. The police stole a notebook computer, printer and other personal property. Mr. Su Yongjiang was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested.
11. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yinghua and Ms. Liu Yubao Arrested
Ms. Li Yinghua and Ms. Liu Yubao, from the Helong Bajiazi Staff Hospital, were arrested by police officers from the Helong Department at 4:00 p.m. on March 3, 2010.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pang Yujuan and Ms. Jin Yinzhi Taken to Hongzhaohua Detention Center
13. [Fuyu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shumei and Ms. Chang Yongxian Arrested
Ms. Wang Shumei and Ms. Chang Yongxian, from Qianhao Village, Caijiagou, Fuyu County, were arrested by police officers from the Songyuan City Department, Caijiagou Police Station on March 2, 2010. They were taken to the Fuyu County Detention Center.

14. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Quan Harassed
Mr. Zhao Quanjiia, 65, of Gangyaohou, was arrested at 4:00 p.m., on March 3, 2010, by Qi Hai from the Dongfeng Mine Police Station. Qi Hai led police officers from the Xinxing Department and the Qitaihe City Department 610 Office to ransack Mr. Zhao's home and take away Dafa books. Mr. Zhao's wife asked the police not to take the books. Police officers denied this request and proceeded to physically assault the wife. Mr. Zhao was forcefully taken to a police vehicle. He was interrogated and threatened at the police station. Mr. Zhao lost conscious and was later released.
15. [Tianjin City] Ms. Guo Chengru Secretly Tried on March 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Hexi Court

17. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiufen Arrested and Money Extorted
On the morning of January 11, 2010, Ms. Li Xiufen, an employee of the Hanting Third Textile Machinery Factory, was getting ready for work. A group of police officers from the Hanting National Security Division broke into and ransacked her home. The police took Dafa books and two sets of lecture DVDs. Ms. Li was also arrested. The next day the police extorted 8,000 yuan from her family and then she was released.
18. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Huang Juan, an employee of Shengli Oil Field Zuanqian Co., was arrested by police officers from the Shengyuan Station, Dongying City Shengyuan Station on March 2, 2010
19. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Miao Discriminated Against
Mr. Yang Miao, an employee of the Shijiazhuang City Senior Technician School, was arrested by Yan Chaohui, chief of the school office, on July 3, 2008, just prior to the Olympics. He was sentenced to one year, six months of forced labor.
Before the Chinese New Year, he was back home and went to the school director to ask about returning to work. Geng Wenjie, the director of the school, asked Yan to request a guarantee statement from Mr. Yang in exchange for going back to work. If there was no exchange, he would be dismissed.

20. [Boye County, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Qiaoxian Arrested
Sun Baoshan, director of the Boye County Police Department, and Zhao Liang, chief of the 610 Office, entered and ransacked the home of Ms. Guo Qiaoxian, located at South Street, Boye County at 9:30 p.m., on March 4, 2010. Ms. Guo was arrested and taken to the town police station.

21. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Li Xinping Sentenced
Mr. Li Xinping was sentenced to five years in prison on March 1, 2009. Ms. Ling Juan was sentenced to six years, and Ms. Zi Ai to three years with four years probation on a suspended sentence. Ms. Zhou Weifen and Ms. Chen Zhenhong have yet to be sentenced.

22. [Huicounty City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Chunling Arrested While Clarifying the Truth
On the afternoon of March 4, 2010, Ms. Li Chunling was reported while she was explaining the facts about Falun Gong at Dongguan Village, Huicounty City. She was taken to the Chengguan Town Police Station by a police officer and that night she was transferred to the Huixian City Detention Center.
23. [Chongqing City] Mr. Chen Erqi and Mr. Chen Yuelin Heavily Sentenced
Mr. Chen Erqi, of Qiuyang County, Chongqing City, and Mr. Chen Yuelin, from Banan District, Chongqing City, were arrested by the Qiuyang County 610 Office while they were distributing truth clarifying materials. They were sentenced to seven and six years in prison respectively.
24. [Qujing City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Xie Kunhua Arrested and Sentenced
Ms. Xie Kunhua was explaining the facts at a food market and reported at 9:00 a.m., on February 22, 2010. She was arrested and body-searched by police officers, led by Song Guojian, from the Xingfu Community Site, Baishijiang Station, Quqing City. Her fingerprints were also taken. At 1:00 p.m., over twenty police officers led by officer Song ransacked Ms. Xie's home. They confiscated Dafa books and copies of the Minghui Weekly. They interrogated Ms. Xie for the source of the books and journals however, she did not disclose that information. Approximately ten hours later, she was released.

25. [Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Sigui at Hospital as Result of Persecution
Before the New Year of 2010, Ms. Chen Sigui was sentenced to three years, six months in prison. Later, she was taken to the Guangdong Province Women's Prison. On February 22, 2010, her family went to Guangdong Province Women's Prison to visit her; however, the request was denied. The guards interrogated the relatives who came to visit her. By chance, one of her relatives overheard one of the guards say that Ms. Chen was at a hospital.
Additionally, Ms. Chen's daughter has been watched and harassed by local police officers. Her freedom has been stifled.
26. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Elderly Practitioner Ms. Liu Xiuwen Has Been Missing for Over One Week
27. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Guo Wusheng from Xin'andu, Dongxihu, Arrested
28. [Leizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Xiuying and Ms. Chen Xiuhong Tortured
Ms. Chen Xiuying and Ms. Chen Xiuhong from Leizhou City were reported while they were distributing Shenyun DVDs when visiting their relatives at Yingling Village, Beihe Town. They were arrested by police officers from the Beihe Town Station and held at the Leizhou City Detention Center. They have been detained for eight months. Ms. Chen Xiuhong was tortured and as a result, her appearance completely changed. She is very thin and has white hair.
29. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Suyun Recently Arrested
30. [Jizhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bian Shuling Arrested When Clarifying the Truth at Xinji City
Ms. Bian Shuling, from Dongdibei Village, Jimenzhuang Township, Jizhou City, was arrested while clarifying the truth at a market in Mengjiazhuang Village, Xinji City. She was taken to the Wangkou Town Police Station, Xinji City.
