(Clearwisdom.net) On April 8, 2010 a guard at Gongzhuling prison called Dafa practitioner Liu Yanlong's family and said, "Liu Yanlong has tuberculosis. He is physically very weak, and has been taken to the hospital." Mr. Liu has been detained at Gongzhuling prison for 18 months, and his wife and relatives have not been allowed to visit him.
Liu Yanlong was a teacher at Jiaohe City's First High School in Jilin Province. After he was arrested on Nov. 25, 2008, Sun Ping, Jiaohe City Education Committee member and chief of the city's Education Bureau, decided to stop paying Mr. Liu and illegally discharged him from his job. Sun Ping claimed that he was acting on orders from the Education Committee at the First High School. Jiang Tao, Jiaohe City Party Secretary, and Pu Yongchun, City Logistics Chief, also played a role in persecuting Liu Yanlong.
On Jan. 15, 2009, a Jiaohe City court sentenced Mr. Liu Yanlong to a four-year prison term.
On May 12, 2009 Liu Yanlong was transferred to Gongzhuling Prison.
