(Clearwisdom.net) The following articles published by the Minghui website on April 3, 2010, present a good illustration of the CCP's cruelty against Falun Gong practitioners.
The first article reported the suffering of Mr. Fu Lianjun, a Falun Gong practitioner from Lequn Village, Lequn Township, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. This 63-year-old man was sentenced to four years in prison. While he was detained at the 2nd Section, 8th Ward in Hulan Prison, instructors Zhang Zhaoxin and Wang Guoming ordered inmates to brutally torture him. In Mr. Fu's words: "Once, the inmates tied down my limbs and beat me. My ribs were broken, the muscles in my thigh were torn and the soles of my feet were injured. I was not even able to climb into my bed. Another time, they burned my nose with cigarette lighters and hit my face so that it was totally swollen.. I was compelled to do forced labor, deprived of sleep and made to stand continuously for over eight hours. The guards hung me up several times so that my feet could not touch the ground. I was also forced to lay on the ground with my belly against the floor. While standing on my back, they pulled my arms to my back. I was suffocating. The torture was heinous."
Another article described how Ms. Cui Guifeng was abused while detained at the Linglong Brainwashing Center in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province for four months. In December 2009, officials from the Zhaoyuan City 610 Office arrested Ms. Cui and took her to a brainwashing center, where she was kept in solitary confinement. On March 26, 2010, she was let out of her cell, and several guards pulled her hair and knocked her head against an iron gate. Someone punched and kicked her at the same time. Eventually, they pulled her inside the building and continued to beat her.
Although some of the beatings have witnesses, most of the persecution was unseen by the public. Another example is Mr. Wei Xingzhi, a middle school teacher died as a result of secret persecution.
On January 20, 2002, Mr. Wei was sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou Province. When Mr. Wei's wife and two young daughters went to visit him on a hot summer day, they saw him wearing a long-sleeve shirt. When the sleeves were rolled up, his wife saw bloody scars and bruises all over his arms. When the guard saw what was going on, the visit was cut short.
During another visit, Mr. Wei gave his wife a note describing the torture that he had suffered. This was observed by the guards, so three of them pulled him from the visitation room, beat him and drove away his wife and daughters.
What was written in the note? He was able to describe it later: Three to five other inmates or guards would beat up one practitioner, punching, kicking and shocking him with electric batons. Sometimes, they placed a book on a practitioner's chest or back, and then struck the book hard with a hammer to cause internal injury without leaving any external signs.
Mr. Wei was forced to watch videos that defamed Falun Gong around the clock. He was also forced to write articles defaming Falun Gong and its founder. When Mr. Wei refused, he was beaten, subjected to sleep deprivation, and forced to stand for long periods of time.
Mr. Wei was kept in solitary confinement for 21 days. His food was often rotten or contaminated. If he refused to eat, four or five inmates force fed him.
After three years of mental torment, forced labor and brutal torture, the previously healthy Mr. Wei was afflicted with nausea, dizziness, headaches, tightness in the chest and coughing up blood. He never recovered and passed away on December 3, 2009, at age 48.
Mr. Wei was able to expose the torture he suffered, but some other practitioners could not do so. Ms. Wang Lianzhi, a 73-year-old practitioner from Kunming City, Yunnan Province, was sentenced and sent to prison. On November 10, 2008, her son visited her and saw that she was in good health. But on November 27, 2008, the son received a phone call from the prison, asking him to come. When he arrived, a guard told him that his mother was suffering from schizophrenia. It was difficult for him to accept how a healthy person could develop schizophrenia within a matter of two weeks. When Ms. Wang was released on January 7, 2009 for medical parole, she was in a virtually vegetative state. Her teeth were loose, she had severe headaches and insomnia. After more than 10 months of suffering, she passed away on November 27, 2009. She was never able to articulate what she had suffered in the prison that led to her death.
These shocking stories were taken from reports on the Minghui website published on April 3, 2010. For the past ten years, such reports have appeared every day. People in China do not seem to be aware of the persecution, but it has never stopped in Chinese prisons and labor camps.
When the truth comes out in full some day, it will be a stunning sight for the world to see.
