(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Inner Mongolia] Mr. Yan Jiguo in a Coma Due to Torture
Mr. Yan Jiguo, Mr. Zhang Haiming, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Ms. Song Yuhong, and Ms. Gao Liping from Heilongjiang Province were arrested and taken to Ewenki Banner, Inner Mongolia, on the evening of December 14, 2009. They have been illegally detained for three months thus far. Mr. Yan has fallen unconscious several times as a result of torture.

2. [Liaoyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo En Sent to a Women's Prison
Ms. Guo En has recently been sent to the Women's Prison in Jilin Province.
3. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Zhaotao Arrested
Ms. Cui Zhaotao, 57, was arrested for sending a DVD of Shen Yun performances to Zheng Jun, head of the Xiaohengshan Police Station, and was escorted to the Jixi Detention Center.
4. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Sun Yaowu's Home Ransacked
Mr. Sun Yaowu, an elderly practitioner from Lanxi County, was spotted by officers from the local National Security Division while he was posting truth-clarification materials about Falun
Gong and the persecution. His home was ransacked and all of his Falun Dafa books confiscated.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Yongqiang Sentenced to Forced Labor
Mr. Wang Yongqiang from the Jinzhou District in Dalian City was sentenced to one year of forced labor. He is now being held at the Yaojia Detention Center.
6. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Shuyun Arrested
At 3:00 pm. on March 24, 2010, six to seven officers in two police cars from the National Security Division, Nongan County Police Department, and the Yangshulin Township Police Station went to the Liujiazi Production Brigade in Yangshulin Township. They searched the homes of Ms. Zheng Shiyun and Mr. Du Zhanxin before taking them to the Wugongli Detention Center in Nongan County.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Liping Arrested
Ms. Zhang Liping was arrested by Su Fengshou and other officers from the Zouping National Security Division in the afternoon on March 12.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Gao Chaohua Injured and Arrested
Director Guo of the Internal Security Department and four other officers broke into the home of 54-year-old Ms. Gao Chaohua in the Daidian District of Beijing on June 4, 2008. They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books before arresting her. During the arrest, they twisted Ms. Gao's arms backwards, breaking one of them in the process. She was taken to the Second Artillery Hospital and hospitalized for 15 days.
Ms. Gao's husband had to pay the medical bills, which totaled 26,000 yuan. On August 4, 2008, officers from the Internal Security Department forced their way into Ms. Gao's home again and arrested her. She is currently being held at the No. 1 Division of the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Beijing.
9. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Nie Yuxia Sent to a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Nie Yuxia was arrested on February 11, 2010 by officers from the 110 Emergency Service and held at the Liaocheng Detention Center. Recently, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor and escorted to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp.
10. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Zhonghua Arrested
Ms. Zhang Zhonghua from Longbu Village, Jincheng Township, Laizhou City, was arrested by officers from Jincheng Police Station while she was talking to people about Falun Gong at Tengjia Market on March 27, 2010.
11. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Fubao Arrested
Mr. Liu Fubao, a vegetable vendor, was arrested by local officers while selling vegetables at Wangcun Market on March 22, 2010. His home was ransacked and he is now being held at Zhoucun 610 Office.
12. [Xi'an City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Qiushan Arrested at Home
Ms. Wang Qiushan, 77, from Xi'an City was arrested by You Gangmin, deputy director of the Hujiabiao Neighborhood Office, and Zhang Zhi'an from the Police Department of the Shaanxi Construction Engineering Group Corporation in her home at around 4:00 p.m. on March 22, 2010. She is being held at the "Xi'an Legal Study Center," which is actually a brainwashing center.
13. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Shuqin and Ms. Liang Yueping Arrested
Ms. Liu Shuqin and Ms. Liang Yueping from Luoyang City were arrested and taken to Mengjin Detention Center.

14. [Hanzhong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Huiquan and Mr. Zhang Riming Arrested
Mr. Zhao Huiquan and Mr. Zhang Riming from Chenggu County of Hanzhong City were distributing Falun Gong materials on their way to Tianming Town when they were reported to the police on March 9, 2010. Then officers from the Tianming Town Police, together with the Chenggu County National Security Team and 610 Office, arrested them. They were taken to the Chenggu County Detention Center, and Mr. Zhao Huiquan's home was ransacked.

15. [Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Yuxian Arrested
Ms. Zeng Yuxian from the Cangxi Area of Guangyuan City was arrested on March 26, 2010, and her personal computer and printer were confiscated.
16. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Houyu Arrested
On the morning of February 25, 2010, Ms. Wu Houyu talked to a fruit vendor about Falun Gong and was reported to the local authorities. She was arrested by officers of the Hongxing Police Station in the Longmatan District of Luzhou City and taken to the local detention center.
17. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Fu Lizhi Arrested
Ms. Fu Lizhi, a senior citizen from Luzhou City, was arrested by the local police and detained in Luzhou City's Naxi Detention Center.
18. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhao Xueguang and Ms. Liu Baozhen Arrested
On the morning of March 24, 2010, Ms. Zhao Xueguang and Ms. Liu Baozhen from Xiangtan City's Manganese Mine were arrested by the Yuhu Police Branch for talking to people about Falun Gong.
19. [Tianzhu County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Xiaohan Illegally Detained
On the morning of March 21, 2010, Ms. Yang Xiaohan from Tianzhu County went to Pingdi Town to distribute Falun Gong materials and was arrested by the local police. On March 23, she was taken to the Tianzhu County Detention Center.
20. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Fuying Arrested
Ms. Li Fuying, 48 years old, is a resident of Leiyang City. On March 26, 2010, she was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is currently now in Leiyang City's detention center.
21. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Fu Xuebing Arrested
22. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Additional Information about Ms. Liu Siqing and Ms. Du Xiuyun's Arrests
Ms. Liu Siqing and Ms. Du Xiuyun went to Feilong Town in the Jialing District of Nanchong City on March 2, 2010, to tell people about Falun Gong. They were reported to the local authorities and arrested by officers from the Anping Town Police in Jialing District.
After being taken to the local police station, they were searched, and their Falun Gong materials were confiscated. Ms. Du's 300 yuan in cash was also confiscated. The police used a leather belt and plastic tubes wrapped around metal wires to beat Ms. Liu and punched her in the face. The beating caused severe bruising on her face and damage to her hearing. The police also kicked and injured Ms. Liu's legs. Ms. Du spat out blood and had difficulty swallowing food.
23. [Inner Mongolia] Recent News of Persecution from the Linhe Area
Ms. Ao Deng and Ms. Wang Huihua were arrested on February 7 and 8, 2010. In early March, they were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. Ms. Ao Deng was sent to Hohhot City's Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Wang Huihua was so abused that she showed symptoms of dementia. She is currently being held in the Linhe District Detention Center.
Ms. Jiao Xiaohong and Ms. Yang Xiulian were arrested on March 4 and 7, respectively. Their homes were ransacked on the same days. They are both in the Linhe District Detention Center.
