Visiting Practitioners in Orange Township (Part 1)

(Clearwisdom.net) Before the new year of the Tiger, I went to Orange Township for a few days and visited Falun Dafa practitioners there. During the visit, I was very impressed by their simplicity, tenacity, wisdom and reason. I would like to record and share with you a few of their cultivation stories.

Lotus Blossom

In October 1998, I heard that some Falun Dafa practitioners from the city were coming to our remote village, so my husband and I went to hear what they had to say. They were teaching the exercises when we arrived and that is how we were introduced to Falun Dafa. It was on that day that my husband and I decided to cultivate.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) banned Falun Dafa less than a year later, and the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners that followed reached even our remote village. A local teacher wrote a letter to the village leader stating that Falun Dafa was beneficial to practitioners and society, and that the persecution of Falun Dafa was wrong. My husband and I felt that this letter was very well written so we made about thirty copies of it, and my husband distributed them throughout the village.

Practitioners from the city later brought us Teacher's new lectures and tears rolled down my face when I read them. They subsequently sent us some truth clarification fliers and booklets. There were several older practitioners in the village who clarified the truth very well, so we gave some of the materials to them and my husband and I distributed the rest. We hung the materials on the villagers' doors. These truth clarification materials had a strong effect in the area. Many villagers said, "Falun Gong is really powerful!"

In 2006, we realized that we should not depend on practitioners from the city to provide us with informational materials, so we thought about creating our own materials production site. Another practitioner from a nearby village and I stayed for two weeks in the city at the home of a practitioner, and we learned how to use computers to print materials. The practitioner helped us buy a computer and printer, then installed them in my home and made sure we knew how to operate them. At last this little lotus flower (materials production site) blossomed with the help of many people.

In the beginning, I taught my husband the very basic skills, including turning the computer on and off, printing fliers, making booklets, and making CDs. Every improvement in our production techniques showed the wonder of Dafa. I remember reading an experience sharing article, "From a Farmer's Hoe to a Computer Mouse" (http://clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2004/11/28/55023.html), and it seemed like it was written about my husband and me! We had only high school educations and we only knew how to do farm work, but because we had learned Dafa, we were able to operate a computer and type smoothly on it! I know that it's all due to Teacher.

Making truth-clarification materials is also a cultivation process. When my husband and I study the Fa well, and our xinxing is stable, the machines work fine and the production goes smoothly. When the machines do not work well, my husband and I know that the real problem is our xinxing, so we don't waste time trying to repair the machines. Instead, we sit down and study the Fa with calm minds and after that the machines work well.

Teacher places a protective shield over each Dafa materials production site, and I once saw a golden shield above our home. I felt deeply honored to be a Dafa practitioner and knew it was our duty to run our production site. We have been running it now for three years, and we have satisfied the needs of local practitioners. We no longer need materials from practitioners in the city. In this remote village, with this small blossoming lotus, our local practitioners have joined Teacher's Fa-rectification.

Work Hard and Catch Up

My mother, my daughter and I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. In those days, I had a serious heart condition and problems with dizziness, so I took medication daily. After I started practicing Dafa, my health improved so much that I was full of energy and like a new person.

In July 2004, a practitioner gave me a copy of Teacher's new lecture. I read it again and again and understood that I should go out and clarify the truth. I understood that I should not be satisfied with my own good health and happy family life, but instead I should let more people know about the goodness of Falun Dafa. So I joined other local practitioners in clarifying the truth. We have been to all of the neighboring villages, mountains, forests, and roads. Every time we go out, we carry various informational materials. We meet all kinds of people and tell them about Falun Dafa. I tell them how Falun Dafa brought me and my family good health and how Dafa improves moral values. I tell them about the CCP's persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and about the good and bad things that happen to people depending upon how they treat Dafa.

I am an ordinary farm woman with little education, but when I explain the truth about Falun Dafa, my mind is clear and I can talk freely and easily. I know that Teacher gives me this wisdom for as long as I have a heart to save people. When hearing the truth, some people accept it and others are afraid. Some people thank us while others are angry, but later even some of them accept it. It is always a test of my xinxing. No matter how other people treat me, I know that I am following Teacher's directive to save people. In the past few years, I have not met with any real danger. There appeared to be danger a couple of times, but as soon as I had righteous thoughts, Teacher helped me and everything was fine. So I understand that the persecution is only on the surface, and saving people is what's real.

In the villages there are many poor families that still do not have VCD players, so we always ask if they have one before giving them Shen Yun videos. If they don't, we give them truth-clarification booklets. Farmers are very interested in prophecies and things like the special stone with words written on it predicting the end of the Chinese Communist Party. We talk to them and sometimes read to them from truth-clarification materials. Some people who can't read listen very carefully and ask for booklets for their family members.

I know that I have not done enough compared to what Teacher has asked of us, and compared with other practitioners, but I am confident I can do more. I will do better as I continue to study the Fa and improve my xinxing. We will continue to spread the truth about Falun Dafa to more people in more places and let them know that they should quit the CCP.
