(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China include incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities and counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fan Jinghua Stalked and Monitored
Ms. Fan Jinghua is a practitioner from Benxi City. She almost died as a result of persecution at a forced labor camp in 2005. She lost control of her bowels and bladder and weighed only 30 kilograms (about 66 pounds). Due to her family's protests, she was allowed to return home with a relative.
Since May, 2009, she has been under 24-hour surveillance by local officers from the Mingshan District Police Department and Mingshan Police Station, special agents from the Domestic Security Division, the local 610 Office, and even the local fire department, causing tremendous stress to Ms. Fan and her family.

2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jin Guangri Given Forced Labor Camp Sentence
Mr. Jin Guangri, an employee of the Yanbian Notary Public, was arrested in January 2010 for distributing fliers about Falun Gong at his workplace. He was initially held at the Yanji City Detention Center, then taken to the Jiutai Men's Forced Labor Camp on January 22 to serve a two-year sentence.
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Jinqiu Bedridden As a Result of Persecution
Ms. Li Jinqiu, mother of Mr. Zhang Lei, a practitioner from Jinzhou, was illegally imprisoned at Masanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang. As a result of persecution, she became bedridden and is unable to take care of herself.
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] A Dozen Practitioners Arrested by Officers from Beijie Police Station
At approximately 10 p.m. on January 27, 2010, Mr. Cao Jianxin, Ms. Li Minzhi, Ms. Dahong, and others were arrested and taken to the Jinzhou City Beijie Police Station. The homes of Mr. Cao, Ms. Li, and Ms. Dahong were ransacked the following morning.
5. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Practitioners Arrested by Officers from Guangrong Police Station
On January 6, 2010, Mr. Li Guang and Ms. Li Peirong from Qiqihar were arrested at home by officers from the Guangrong Police Station, Tiefeng Police Department of Qiqihar Public Security Bureau. They are currently being held at the Qiqihar No.1 Detention Centre.
6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiang Dawei Arrested at Home
On January 28, 2010, Mr. Jiang Dawei was arrested at home by numerous police officers from the Domestic Security Division of Jinzhou City and Taihe District Xinglong Police Station.
7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yinghua Arrested
Ms. Wang Yinghua from Jinzhou City was arrested at 5 p.m. on January 27, 2010, while she was fixing her bike at the entrance of her apartment building. Her home was ransacked.
8. [Beijing] Zhang Jiguo Illegally Sentenced to Beijing Women's Prison
Ms. Zhang Jiguo, a 40-year-old from Beijing, was sentenced to three years imprisonment for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in public. She is being held in the Beijing Women's Prison. Although the terms of incarceration are pending, the authorities have already informed her that her sentence will be extended for two additional years.
9. [Beijing] 80-Year-old Ms. Jiang Changfeng in Beijing Women's Prison
80-year-old Ms. Jiang Changfeng, a retired government official, was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for printing truth clarification materials. She was initially held at the Beijing Youth Education Center. In 2004, she was transferred to the Beijing Women's Prison. As a result of the persecution, her spine is bent at a 90-degree angle, and she is unable to take care of herself.
Ms. Jiang Changfeng's husband, Mr. Yu Changxin, was a high ranking official in the Air Force and a member of the Falun Dafa Research Society. He was given an 18-year sentence,and is being held in a military jail.
10. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fan Gongjun Given Forced Labor Camp Sentence
Ms. Fan Gongjun, 60, was reported to officials and then arrested by police from Zhangxia Township for talking to people about Falun Gong, and using monetary notes with words supporting Falun Gong written on them. The police conducted a full body search, then searched her purse and confiscated all her money, a cell phone, CDs, and pamphlets with Falun Gong information. She was held at the Jinan Detention Center for a month, then taken to Shandong No.1 Women's Forced Labor Camp.

11. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Haijun and His Wife, Liu Weiping, Held in Changsha City Detention Center
Mr. Li Haijun and his wife, Ms. Liu Weiping, from Chongli County, Zhangjiakou City, were arrested in Changsha, Hunan Province. They are currently being held at the Changsha City Detention Center.
12. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yulan Arrested
Ms. Wang Yulan from the No.4 Team in Dengwan Township, Weibin County, Xinyang City, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. on January 26, 2010, by Han Dejun from the local Domestic Security Division, and Li Hui and Fu Xifeng of the township police. The officials confiscated all of Ms. Wang's Dafa books, and, to date, have extorted over 10,000 yuan from her family.
13. [Chongqing City] Ms. Liu Huarong Arrested Again
Ms. Liu Huarong was arrested by local police officers on January 20, 2010, for talking to people about Falun Gong at Jijiang Township, Jiangjin. Her home was subsequently ransacked; her whereabouts are currently unknown.
14. [Hengshui City, Hunan Province] Mr. Chang Liang Arrested by Hengshui City Police
Police officers from Hengshui Public Security Bureau and Raoyang County Public Security Bureau arrested Mr. Chang Liang at noon on January 27 at his home in Shengshui Village, Tongyue Township, Raoyang County. Officials confiscated computers and Dafa books. On the same day, the officers also attempted to arrest another practitioner, who happened to be away, so they arrested his wife instead. She is currently imprisoned at the Hengshui City School (a CCP compound).
15. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yao Yuanfang Arrested
Ms. Yao Yuanfang was arrested at 9 a.m. on January 26, 2010, at her home, which was subsequently ransacked.
16. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Liu Li and Four Others Imprisoned for Nine Months
Ms. Liu Li, Ms. Zuo Qixiang, Ms. Zhu Ming, and Ms. Liu Hefang from Hefei City were arrested on April 18, 2009, while distributing fliers about Falun Gong in the Guichi District of Chizhou City, Anhui Province. They have been imprisoned at Chizhou Detention Center for nine months.
17. [Nanpi County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jing Arrested
Mr. Wang Jing, 42 years old, is from Luguan Township, Nanpi County. Since July 1999, his family has been under surveillance, threatened, and harassed by officials from the Luguan Police Station. During the Beijing Olympics in 2008, several police officers were stationed in front of his home to monitor their activities. Ms. Wang Jing was forced to leave home.
In 2009, Mr. Wang returned home. At 6:30 p.m. on November 6, 2009, approximately four officers from Luguang Police Station broke into his home and arrested him. He is now in the Changzhou Detention Center.
