(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting Dafa for the past 11 years. Master and Dafa practitioners have been suffering injustice that has not been seen in thousands of years. Practitioners have been severely persecuted and sentient beings have had their minds poisoned without them knowing it. Deep in our hearts we are suffering. "No, do not let the evil succeed in their plan! The great universal truth cannot be trampled on by the evil! Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa! Restore our Master's reputation and restore Falun Dafa's reputation. Falun Dafa is great!" These are the calls deep from our hearts. With Master's teachings in our minds, millions of practitioners are walking steadily on the path to end the persecution and save sentient beings. With our continued cultivation, we have become more mature and are fulfilling our pre-historic vows. I'd like to share some of my cultivation experiences with fellow practitioners.
1. Cherish the Time and Don't Waste a Single Second
I often study the Fa with fellow practitioners Cui Lian and Chun Lian (pseudonyms). Our hearts are always in the Fa. Cui Lian didn't have any schooling and Chun Lian and I only finished primary school. The more we study Master's Fa, the more we want to study it. What the three of us have in common is that we are hardworking and can bear hardships. When we do everyday jobs, we listen to the audio of Minghui Weekly with earphones on. Whenever we have time, we study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts. We never waste a moment.
2. Study the Fa, Cultivate Together, and Look Inwards
In the first several years after the persecution started in 1999, we told people how good Falun Dafa was wherever we went. We clarified the facts to the head of the 610 Office, policemen, relatives, friends, and others. We told them the facts about Falun Dafa whenever we had a chance. Since the evil CCP was wrong to persecute Dafa, we tried to explain this to people. They accepted the facts readily and willingly. But when we tried to persuade them to quit the CCP, we found it difficult and didn't have good results. That lead to us sometimes not want to talk to people about Falun Dafa. Even when we did talk to them, we didn't really know how to persuade them to quit the CCP. As soon as we mentioned that Heaven would eliminate the CCP and that they should quit the CCP to secure their future, people got scared and didn't listen to us. And we became less confident and anxious in our hearts (compared to several local practitioners who were good at clarifying the facts). Through continuing to study the Fa and reading Minghui Weekly, we obtained a better understanding of the importance and urgency of saving sentient beings.
Master said in "Solid Cultivation" from Hong Yin:
"Study the Fa and gain the Fa,
Focus on how you study and cultivate,
Let each and every thing
be measured against the Fa.
Only then, with that,
is it actually cultivation."
We looked inward and tried to see why we didn't clarify the truth well, while other practitioners could do it so well. Was it because we had a heart of fear? Was it because we didn't want to lose face? Where was our compassion if we didn't save those in danger? Was it a big omission if we couldn't help people to do the "three withdraws" well? Were we worthy of Master's compassionate salvation? Had we fulfilled our vows? We were very remorseful and became distressed. However, we continued to go out to clarify the truth every day, whether we were able to do it well or not. We didn't become disheartened if nobody withdrew from the CCP. We went out with materials and distributed them while we clarified the facts. We believed that one day we would know how to clarify the truth effectively.
Master saw our eager hearts that wanted to save sentient beings and arranged two practitioners to come and help us. That day we came across the two practitioners who were good at talking to people. They agreed to come with us the next day to clarify the truth. They were very calm and compassionate and didn't miss anyone. We could see that their positive demeanor was because they studied the Fa well and cultivated solidly. In comparison, I saw the gap between them and myself. We observed their every word and action carefully. The way they talked, their tones, and their eye contact were just right, and so people readily agreed to withdraw from the CCP. Unlike clarifying the truth to acquaintances where we could talk a lot to them, we couldn't spend too much time talking to others because they were busy and in a hurry. Sometimes we said only eight or ten sentences and people agreed to withdraw from the CCP. From then on we entered a new stage in clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings.
3. Understand the Fa and Let Go of Attachments
The three of us had a big breakthrough in persuading people to quit the CCP after we met those other two practitioners. Sometimes we could get more than ten people to quit the CCP and sometimes 20. We improved a lot. Almost every day we went out to explain the truth. The more we talked, the easier it got. Even on a hot, scorching day of 40 degrees Celsius, we didn't miss going out. In the process, we've experienced joy as well as hardships. For those people who listened to us but were not willing to quit the CCP, we told them, "Don't miss the opportunity if in the future you have another chance. It is for your benefit." We keep our hearts unmoved even if some people curse us. We look inward to see if our righteous thoughts are sufficient or where we haven't done well.
The evil CCP has harmed many students with its false propaganda against Dafa, the staged self-immolation incident at Tiananmen Square, and propaganda articles in textbooks. On many occasions when we talked to them, young girls were frightened and ran away. This hurt my heart, and I felt so sorry for them. The evil CCP frames Dafa. The world's people don't know the truth. We try to save them selflessly, but they see us as bad people. I felt very bitter and wanted to cry.
When I was in agony, Master's words came to mind:
"As a matter of fact, when you agonize over infringements upon your reputation, self-interest, and feelings among everyday people, it already indicates that you cannot let go of ordinary human attachments." ("True Cultivation" from Essentials for Further Advancement).
I no longer felt the pain. I let go of any notions and attachments and continued to walk on the cultivation path in an open and dignified way.
4. Urgently Save Sentient Beings
Master re-creates a healthy body for us. The lifespan we have gained is for our cultivation, and we cherish the time we have gained. Regardless of the weather, as long as we go out to tell people the facts about Falun Gong, we surely will have good results. Chun Lian and Cui Lian actively approach people and clarify the truth. That greatly encourages us. Compared to them, we could see our shortcomings. We were determined to catch up with them. We encouraged each other to reinforce our righteous thoughts and confidence.
One day I went out with Chun Lian. We talked to a young girl, but she said she didn't have time to listen to us. I said to her, "If you listen to me, you will be better off even though you could earn one hundred thousand dollars in this one minute." Immediately she stopped and wanted to listen. I told her that human beings would experience a big disaster because of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and that the CCP staged the self-immolation incident at Tiananmen Square, framed Falun Gong, and harvests organs from living practitioners. I said, "Would Heaven tolerate this? That's why Heaven will eliminate the CCP. Falun Gong teaches people to be good and to act according to the principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. It benefits society in every way. If you sincerely withdraw from the CCP, you will be protected by righteous gods when disaster comes. You will be safe." She agreed and quit the CCP. It is not easy to explain to people why they should quit the CCP. Some people agreed to withdraw from the CCP but they left before we finished talking. Of course a lot people listened to us and understood. They kept thanking us. One day the three of us were clarifying the truth to two high school students. One student ran away and the other was about to run away as well. I said to her, "Please don't leave as she did. You will be better off if you listen to us." She stayed and agreed to quit the CCP.
In July another practitioner and I were returning home from the country. The bus stopped running at noon due to the scorching weather. We kept walking. An elderly man was coming towards us on a tricycle. We greeted him with big smiles. He stopped and we clarified the truth to him. He agreed to quit the CCP. Then a man passed us on a bicycle. We greeted him and clarified the truth to him as well. He agreed to withdraw from the CCP. Then a man on a motorcycle came. We stopped him and clarified the truth. He agreed to quit the CCP.
On one occasion we walked in the snow in the piercing cold to clarify the truth to people. But in our hearts, we felt very warm.
It is a good opportunity to clarify the truth to people during Chinese New Year, because relatives and friends come to see each other. Every year I prepare materials and place them in a good spot at home. When relatives and friends come to see us on Chinese New Year's Day, we give each person a copy. More recently we give them materials as well as helped them to withdraw from the CCP.
On Chinese New Year's Day 2007, the first person that came to our home was a classmate of my husband. He came early in the morning. He said he came because he wanted to withdraw from the CCP and his son and daughter-in-law also gave their names to quit the CCP. I had given him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party previously and the whole family had read it. They had learned the facts.
5. Compassion and Solemn Dignity Coexist
I was illegally detained in 2005 for clarifying the truth. The municipal Party secretary had signed the document and I was about to be sent to the provincial brainwashing center. Upon learning the news, I decided not to go. With Master's protection and help, I was able to let go of the attachment to the fear of death. I passed the test. But in the following several years, police constantly harassed me, followed me, tapped my phone, and put me under surveillance. They tried to gather evidence to persecute me. According to an internal source, they regarded me as a key person. I am a Dafa disciple. Master will determine my future, not them. While doing the three things rationally, I spend more time sending forth righteous thoughts to dissolve the evil.
On Chinese New Year's Day 2008, instigated by the 610 Office, two leaders from my work unit came to my home. I greeted them warmly. One of them presented me with a form for my signature. I saw a slanderous word on it. I said to him, "Do you know how the government treats us practitioners? We cultivate Dafa and try to be good people according to the principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. That is not wrong. Before I started to practice Falun Gong, I suffered from numerous illnesses. This you know well. Who doesn't want to stay healthy?" Before I had even finished talking, they left us. One of them said, "We were told to come here." I quickly grabbed his hand and said, "I'd like to have a good talk with you. Please stay." But they left quickly.
Several months later the Beijing Olympic Games were approaching. The two men came to my home again. As soon as they sat down, another policeman from the public security bureau came. I said to them, "Do you want to arrest me again?" They waved their hands saying, "No, no, we were passing by and came in to have a look." I said, "It is absolutely impossible to change my belief. Why? Because Falun Dafa is very good. Master has told us to consider others first and to be unselfish. I'd like to be such a good person. If everybody acted like a Falun Gong practitioner, then the society would truly become stable. Jiang Zemin persecutes Falun Gong based on lies. The self-immolation incident at Tiananmen Square was staged to frame Falun Gong. Nowadays there are repeated natural disasters because Heaven and human beings are at odds." The thought of saving them came to my mind at that moment. I said, "I've always wanted to tell you something but have failed to say it. I regretted it every time you left." They said, "Yes, please tell us." I said, "Will you please withdraw from the CCP so that you will be safe when catastrophes come?" One of them said, "Yes, I believe it. I believe it." The other one said, "Please do not say it outside of your house." So they quit the CCP using aliases. Since then they have never come to my house again.
We have visited every corner of our city during these several years. We clarify the truth to the old and young as well as to the policemen. We will not stop clarifying the truth until the persecution stops. We will continue saving sentient beings every moment until we have completed our cultivation.
