(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, 19 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 28 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Chen Junjie Sentenced to Forced Labor
Ms. Chen Junjie from Beijing, 53, lives in the Shiliuyuan Residential Quarters in the Fengtai District. She was taken to Shiliuyuan Police Station in the Fengtai District by officers from local police station and agents from 610 Office at about 11:00 p.m. on July 20, 2010. Her two computers were confiscated. She was taken to Fengtai Detention Center the next day, and after several months, she was sentenced to two years and six months of forced labor. She failed the physical examination in the camp and was returned to the detention center.

2. [Liuan City, Anhui Province} Mr. Xiao Xianfu Persecuted to Death
Mr. Xiao Xianfu, 76, from Jinzhai County, Liuan City, worked for Hongdian Reservoir Shipping Station. He was arrested by officers from Xianhualing Police Station in Jinzhai County in 2006 while he was explaining the facts about Falun Gong in public. Later, Jinzhai County Public Security Bureau and Jinzhai County Court sentenced him to three years in prison. He was treated so horribly in Suzhou Prison that he became critically ill in February 2009. He was then taken to his son's home and passed away in May 2009.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Sumei Persecuted
Ms. Wang Sumei from Quanyuan Residential Quarters in the Dongling District, Shenyang, was falsely accused and taken to Shenyang Detention Center by agents from Dongling District 610 Office and officers from the Domestic Security Division on August 13, 2009. Her husband, Yu Jiachen, could not bear this devastating blow and passed away in early October, 2009. Her son, Yu Yong, went to the detention center to demand her release so she could see her husband for the last time, but permission was not granted. Dongling District Court later secretly sentenced her to three years in prison. Ms. Wang is now being held in the 8th Ward at Liaoning Women's Prison.
4. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Additional Information About the Arrest of Many Practitioners
Agents from the Jilin City 610 Office and Huadian City 610 Office arrested Ms. Zhou Yulan, Ms. Liu Shuying, and Ms. Cao on the evening of November 26, 2010. They ransacked the practitioners' home and took their belongings, including computers and printers. Ms. Zhou and Ms. Liu are now being held in Jilin City Detention Center. Ms. Cao was released because she failed a physical.
Agents arrested Ms. Song Guifen and her husband, who doesn't practice Falun Gong, on November 29. Ms. Song's husband was released after being held overnight.
Eight practitioners from Huadian City were arrested on the evening of October 26 while they were distributing materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Badaozihe. Their two private cars were taken and have yet to be returned. Practitioners including Mr. Liu Bo, Mr. Liu Libo, Mr. Li Weihua, Mr. Gong Fangli, and Ms. Yan and her sister were taken to a detention center. Ms. Yan Xiumei was beaten after the arrest. Yu Xiaoqing from the Domestic Security Division and other officers ransacked Ms. Yan's home and took a computer, which has not yet been returned.

5. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Lei Sent to Dalian City Prison
Linghai City Court tried Ms. Zhang Lei on January 14, 2010, and sentenced her to five years in prison. Ms. Zhang has been sent to Dalian City Prison.
6. [Baoji, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wang Tiansheng Arrested
Mr. Wang Tiansheng from Mei County, Baoji, was falsely accused in the Gaoxin District, Baoji, on November 26, 2010. Officers brutally beat and arrested him. Mr. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Qingyunpu District Court Tried Mr. Liu Yong, Ms. Liao Xiaolin, and Ms. Wan Jinlian
Qingyunpu District Court in Nanchang opened a session at 10:30 a.m. on November 30, 2010, and tried Mr. Liu Yong, Ms. Liao Xiaolin, and Ms. Wan Jinlian. Mr. Liu has been held in Nanchang No.1 Detention Center since he was arrested on June 9, 2010. Ms. Liao was arrested by officers from Qingshanhu Police Station on June 9, while Ms. Wan was arrested on May 29.
8. [Tianjin] A Dozen Officers from Huanghuadian Police Station Arrested Mr. Zhao Xiang at about 7:00 a.m. on November 30
9. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Niu Wenbin Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Niu Wenbin is an employee of the radiation division of the No.2 Factory Clinic. While she was working in the clinic on the afternoon of November 26, 2010, her supervisor got her into the supervisor's office under false pretenses. From there she was taken to Langfang Brainwashing Center.
10. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Fengqin, Ms. Ma Zhaohua, and Ms. Ma Yuqin Arrested
Ms. Li Fengqin, Ms. Ma Zhaohua, and Ms. Ma Yuqin from Wei County were arrested by officers from Wei County Domestic Security Division while they were explaining the facts about Falun Gong. Their computers, printers, and Falun Gong books, among other items, were taken. They are being held in Zhangjiakou.

12. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Jing Persecuted in Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Jing was sentenced to forced labor in September of 2009 and sent to the 3rd Team of Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp. She was persecuted there and consequently suffered from relapse of heart attack. She was taken to Heping Hospital twice for emergency treatment. She was not able to move, let alone work. But team head Lu Yaqin dragged her from her bed and forced her to go to the factory to work. Recently, Ms. Zhang fainted in the restroom. She has been held for over 16 months, but the team head will not tell her how long her term is.
13. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Kezhen Arrested
Ms. Zhang Kezhen from Antou Village, Shuangyang Town, the Zichuan District, Zibo City, was arrested by agents from Zichuan District 610 Office and Shuangyang Town 610 Office around November 5, 2010. They are now being held in Zibo City Brainwashing Center. Her family asked to visit of her many times but were turned down by the brainwashing center authorities.

Ms. Qiaomei and Ms. Zhuying from Yu County, Yangquan City, were arrested on November 24, 2010.

17. [Bazhong City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Minglang and His Wife, Ms. Li Ronghua, Arrested by Officers from Yilong County
Mr. Zhang Minglang, 74, and his wife Ms. Li Ronghua, 69, are from the Bazhou District, Bazhong City. They were falsely accused while they were explaining the facts about Falun Gong on their way home from Guanzi Town, Yilong County, waiting for a bus in Youshenmiao, Guanzi Town, on November 17, 2010. They were arrested by officers from Guanzi Town, Yilong County. Their belongings, including an MP3 player, an MP4 player, and cell phones, were taken.
18. [Li County, Hunan Provnce] Ms. Peng Donglian Persecuted to Death
Ms. Peng Donglian from Yi County was arrested by officers from the local domestic security division on November 9, 2010. After only 11 days, she had died as a result of persecution.

20. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Junjie from Hanzhuang Village Arrested
Ms. Tian Junjie from Hanzhuang Village in Xiong County is in her 30s. She was arrested at about 6:00 a.m. on November 24, 2010.

21. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zheng Faxin Still Imprisoned
Mr. Zheng Faxin from Sunjiaji Town, Shouguang City, was detained in Shouguang Public Security Bureau Detention Center many times because he would not give up practicing Falun Gong. Officers went to his home in the middle of the night on June 28, 2002, and took him to Changle Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for a term of three years. After his release three years later, plainclothes officers continued to threaten him, harass him, and follow him.
Mr. Zheng was taken to Shouguang City Public Security Bureau on the evening of January 24, 2009. They beat him with electric batons, then stripped off his coat and handcuffed him behind his back to a concrete pole. The temperature was below zero ℃. After freezing Mr. Zheng for a night, they took him to Shouguang City Detention Center.
Shouguang City People's Court secretly sentenced Mr. Zheng to three years in prison in August 2010. He was taken to Jinan City Prison. The prison refused to accept him when he was found to be suffering from high blood pressure and heart disease. He was then sent back to the detention center.
Mr. Zheng Faxin is now being held in Shouguang City Detention Center. Family visits are not allowed.
22. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Updates about the Persecution of Ms. Guang Yuqin and Ms. Zhang Xiuli
Ms. Guang Yuqin and Ms. Zhang Xiuli from the Nangang District, who were arrested on April 23, 2010, were sent to Heilongjiang Women's Prison on December 1, 2010.
23. [Huaihua, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Fangming and Others Arrested
Officers from Huaihua Railway Public Security Bureau collaborated with local the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division to barge into and ransack practitioners' homes. They arrested Ms. Wu Fangming, Ms. Liao Yuanmei, Ms. Yan Huixian, and Ms. Wang Weiyu. Their whereabouts are unknown.
24. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Ju Yanxia from Wuxue City was arrested by Hu Qisang and other agents from Longping 610 Office on November 30, 2010. Her computer and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong were taken. Mr. Zhu Guosheng was called and convinced to go a store to transport goods at about 4:00 p.m. the same day. On the way to the store, Mr. Zhu was arrested and taken to the City Detention Center.
25. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Zhao Jun Arrested
Mr. Zhao Jun from Xichang City was arrested on November 30, 2010, while he was explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Xiaomiao Township. He is now being held in Xichang City Detention Center in Xiaomiao Township.

26. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chai Lirong Arrested
Ms. Chai Lirong is in her 60s. Officers from Renli Town Police Station in Suining City barged into her home in Lingquan Village and arrested her on the morning of November 24, 2010. Ms. Chai was taken to Suining City Brainwashing Center.
