(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
On October 19, 2010, Ms. Huang Fengyun, Mr. Li Baoqing, and Mr. Zhang Xiaolin from Xinxiang Village, Xiangshun Township, Tonghe County, and Ms. Li Feng'e from Dongliufang Village were arrested. Tonghe County Domestic Security Division officers participated in the arrests. The police attempted to extort money from the practitioners' families, threatening to send the practitioners to be detained in Harbin.
2. [Xi'an, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Tang Yuhua Arrested
Officers from the Gaoxin Police Department arrested Ms. Tang Yuhua at home on October 13, 2010. Six or seven other police officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and informational materials. The police returned the next day and conducted a second search of Ms. Tang's home. Ms. Tang is in the Xi'an City Detention Center.
3. [Chenzhou, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Fangchen and Her Husband Arrested in Guangzhou
Ms. Deng Fangchen from Chenzhou City does business in the Guihuagang Leather Objects Shopping Center in Guangzhou. 610 Office agents arrested her in January 2010, and incarcerated her in a brainwashing facility. Ms. Deng's husband, Mr. Che Jianhua. was also arrested. Their whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Guangdong Province] Practitioners from Shenzhen Arrested in June 2010
Officers from the Bao'an Police Department in Shenzhen arrested Ms. Liu Jianying, in her 50s, and Ms. Zhou Xiuyu, in her 40s. Officers from the Longhua Police Station arrested Mr. Deng Hui, Mr. Tong Lin, Mr. Jiang Shanliang, Ms. Wang Aying, and Ms. Yan Zi.

5. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Given Lengthy Prison Terms
Ningjiang Court officials held a covert trial without informing practitioners' families. We have learned so far that Mr. Yang Weihua was given an eight-year prison term. Mr. Wu Dan, Mr. Liu Shuquan, and Mr. Gao Yong were each sentenced to seven and a half years of imprisonment.
6. [Leshan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhong Shufeng and Two Others Arrested
Three practitioners were arrested on July 12, 2010: Ms. Zhong Shufeng, 56 years old, from Guanying Town; Ms. Gu Suhua, 58, from Niuhua Town; and Ms. Liu Bin, 40, from Niuhua Town. The were arrested as they spoke with people about Falun Gong and the persecution in Mata Town, Jingyan County. They are in the Jingyan County Detention Center.
7. [Zhucheng, Shandong Province] Mr. Feng Huanxue Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Feng Huaxue, in his 40s, lives in Wangjiazhuangzi Village, Jiayue, Zhucheng. He lived away from home for more than three years to avoid persecution. Shortly after he returned home, the police arrested him at home on September 25, 2010. The detention location is unknown.
8. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Domestic Security Division Officers Illegally Search a Practitioner's Home
Huixian City Domestic Security Division deputy head Liu Jijin and others, led by Baiquan County Police Station political head Wang Xikai, illegally searched a practitioner's home around 8:00 a.m. on October 21, 2010. The practitioner lives in the Taiyangshi Textile Factory's residential compound. The home invaders pried open the practitioner's bedroom door and searched it. They confiscated Falun Gong books and CDs, and unsuccessfully turned on a computer that was down. They proceeded to seize the practitioner's van parked downstairs, forcing the vehicle's door, and drove away.

9. [Huadian, Jilin Province] Six Practitioners Arrested and Taken to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center on October 25, 2010
10. [Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Zhuqian Arrested
Mr. Wu Zhuqian was arrested on the afternoon of October 25, 2010. Maoming City 610 Office agents drove 11 vehicles and surrounded Mr. Wu's residence. Mr. Wu and his son's whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Li Xiumin Arrested
Ms. Li Xiumin from the Chaoyang District was arrested at home on October 22, 2010. Officers from the Xiangheyuan Police Station in the Chaoyang District made the arrest. Ms. Li was later taken to the Chaoyang District Detention Center.
12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Hui and Others Held in the Yaojia Detention Center
Police followed Mr. Ma Hui when he went to Teacher Zhang's home near Wanjia to study the Fa on September 26, 2010. Later on the police broke into Mr. Zhang's home; arrested Mr. Ma, Mr. Zhang, and Mr. Fu; and ransacked the home. They confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, and informational materials, and cash. The three practitioners are in the Yaojia Detention Center.
13. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Jinfeng and Others Harassed
Seven to eight persons from the Longguan Town government broke into Ms. Yang Jinfeng's home around 4:00 p.m. on October 20, 2010. Ms. Yang's husband was working in the courtyard at the time. Officer Wang Xiang burned a Minghui Weekly and a calendar with truth clarification messages that hung on a wall. Before leaving, he threatened to incarcerate Ms. Yang and hold her in the Zhangjiakou Brainwashing Center.
These people also broke into the home of a practitioner surnamed Liu, in her 70s, that same day. Ms. Liu was not at home. The authorities ordered her husband to write a guarantee statement on her behalf.
14. [Jilin Province] Jilin Prison Guards' Recent Crimes
Mr. Ma Desheng in Ward 3 was reading the Falun Gong teachings at noon on October 23, 2010. Education Section officer Wang Yuanchun ordered several criminals to lock him up in a strictly controlled room.
The prison doctor sent Mr. Zhang Hongwei from Tonghua City in Ward 10 to the Jilin City 465 Hospital on October 2, 2010. Mr. Zhang was diagnosed with a perforated appendix and had surgery the next day, without his family being informed. He is still hospitalized.
Education Section officer Wang Yuanchun ordered monitoring of practitioners in all wards around the clock on June 29, 2010. Whatever the practitioners were doing had to be recorded once every half an hour. A ward head would sign the recordings once every seven days. Wang made Mr. Tan Qiucheng to go to his office to attempt to "reform" him.
Mr. Chen Hongxiang from Fanjiatun, Gongzhuling, was locked up in a strictly controlled room in Ward 7 for more than three weeks. He started a persecution protest hunger strike on June 28.
