(Clearwisdom.net) I have a granddaughter who is a high school teacher. She is short in stature, and she had an operation several days ago from which she hasn't fully recovered. One morning, when she was teaching a tall boy one-on-one in her office, the boy severely beat her, hurting her badly. She was sent to the hospital. After hearing this, I felt angry for my granddaughter and planned to get even for her. I brought several people with me and took a bus to the rural town where she worked.
After getting on the bus, I gradually calmed down. I am a Dafa disciple. How could I think of using ordinary means to solve this problem? It would undermine Dafa. Also, I would be irresponsible towards my relative if I did that. As a Dafa disciple during the Fa-rectification period, isn't my mission to validate the Fa and save sentient beings? Master's Fa principle gradually floated into my mind,
"As a human being, you are a good person only if you can follow this universe's characteristic of Zhen-Shan-Ren. A person who deviates from this characteristic is truly a bad person." ("Lecture One" in Zhuan Falun)
As a cultivator, I should use compassion to resolve the situation. The incident might have been caused by a debt my granddaughter owed the boy from a previous lifetime. I am a Dafa disciple; I must use compassion to resolve their resentment and let them truly be saved.
Being clear about the Fa principle, I calmed down and sent out strong righteous thoughts, "Eliminate all evil entities and factors. Let Dafa show Its power and save them. Master, please help me."
I arrived at the hospital and saw the doctors were busy giving care to my granddaughter. I firmly believed that she would be safe. As expected, her condition soon improved. My granddaughter felt very happy after seeing me.
I told her, "Please be at ease recovering from the injury. You are someone who is well-educated; you need to be magnanimous. Don't hate the boy; instead, you need to care more about him and help him from a different aspect. You should discipline yourself with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and educate your students well. Then you are really great."
My granddaughter said with a smile, "It's very kind of you to say so. I will not hate him. I will influence him with my righteous deeds and help him become a very good student. In addition, I should look within since he beat me. Maybe I didn't do well on something; I have to look within." I was touched upon hearing this, and I felt that she was great to know to look within.
The student's parents wanted to invite my granddaughter and her relatives who were at the hospital to have lunch with them. I didn't agree to go at first, but finally I went with them after the parents invited us again and again. At the restaurant, the boy's mother asked me to order some dishes. I said, "Don't waste your money. It is difficult for farmers to earn money." In the end, we ten people only spent 70 yuan. The parents were moved by my sincerity and compassion. When I clarified the truth about Falun Gong, they all listened quietly. I told them about the wonderfulness of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and how wicked the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is. I explained the principle that heaven will end the CCP's rule one day and told them that withdrawing from the Party organizations will keep them safe. The parents and other relatives agreed, and quit the Party.
After we returned to the hospital from the restaurant, the police sent the student under escort to the hospital. It turned out that the student wanted to apologize to his teacher.
As soon as he walked into the room and saw my granddaughter on a drip with a pale face, he at once knelt down with tears, and he asked her for forgiveness. She asked him to stand up, saying, "If a person wants to live a meaningful life, it is very important for him to have good morals. This incident is just a lesson. As long as you turn over a new leaf, it will be fine." The student shook hands with my granddaughter, crying, "Teacher, I was wrong. I will mend my ways." She replied, "I don't hate or blame you. If you have the opportunity to return to school, you are still my student. I will be responsible for you."
The policemen knew that I was the teacher's grandfather, and asked for my opinion on whether to send the boy to a labor camp. I said, "We should focus on educating him and guide him to repent and be good. I feel that the boy really wants to repent. I have talked with my granddaughter. She will still treat him kindly, rather than hate or blame him." The policemen smiled and shook my hand, saying, "You are really good. We are deeply touched by your words." I said, "This is the power of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. You should also believe it." The policemen nodded and agreed. In the end, I suggested, "Let the student return home. Please give him an opportunity to repent and be good." The policemen agreed and released the boy.
We then prepared to return home. It was already 5:00 p.m. The student's parents and relatives said, "We will come together to thank you in the future." I said, "Don't thank me. If you want to show your appreciation, please thank our Master. After you return home, you should persuade your friends to believe 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good; Falun Dafa is good.'" They said, "Yes. We will recite 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good; Falun Dafa is good' again and again."
Sentient beings can feel cultivators' compassion and kind thoughts. Each of our righteous words and actions is validating the Fa.
