(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners Ms. Zhang Shuzhen, Mr. Zhang Xiaoqi, Ms. Zhou Qihua and Mr. Wang Dayong were arrested on September 15, 2010, when they were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Shangtuan Village, a mountainous area in Shandong Province. The practitioners had traveled a long way to get to this village. Officers from the Xiejiabao Police Station, Zhuolu County, Hebei Province, confiscated their car, four cell phones, house keys and several thousand yuan.
Officers Dong Fei, Li Zhiming, Liu Meicheng, Ban Zhiyong, Wu Xiangdong and others from Zhuolu County Police Department and the 610 Office took the practitioners to the Zhuolu County Police Bureau at around 3:00 p.m. the same day. The police then searched the practitioners' homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, a picture of the Teacher of Falun Gong, MP3 players and other personal belongings. The police also forced their family members to sign their official documentation.
Mr. Zhang and Mr. Wang were taken to Zhuolu County Detention Center the following day. The police contacted Ms. Zhang's daughter and told her to take Ms. Zhang home, as she nearly died due to the torture she was subjected to, and the police were afraid to take responsibility if she died.
Ms. Zhou was also tortured, but the police refused to release her, and took her to the Zhangjiakou City Brainwashing Center in Hebei Province. She was given a physical examination by the doctor at the brainwashing center, after suffering from excruciating pain, and was released on September 19. Several officers from the Zhuolu County 610 Office broke into Ms. Zhou's home and arrested her in front of her family at around 6:30 a.m. on October 22, 2010. She was taken to the county police station, and was then transferred to the Zhangjiakou Brainwashing Center.
Officer Liu Meicheng and several others from the Zhuolu County 610 Office arrested Ms. Zhang at her home, around 7:00 a.m. on October 22, 2010. She was taken to the county police station, and was then transferred taken to the Zhangjiakou Brainwashing Center the same day. She was given a physical examination and was diagnosed with high blood pressure and heart palpations, so the officials at the brainwashing center refused to accept her. The police then took her home, cursing at her during the entire trip.
Mr. Zhang and Mr. Wang's whereabouts are currently unknown.
