(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 2010, several practitioners and I went to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa at a construction site in the neighborhood. We were reported to a local police station, and were taken to the city detention center, and then transferred to a labor camp eleven days later. With Master's support, I broke out of the labor camp with righteous thoughts the very first day.
Detention centers are the Chinese Communist Party's dark dens for persecuting Dafa practitioners. We refused to wear a prison uniform, refused to participate in forced labor, and began a hunger strike to protest the persecution. We paid more attention to learning the Fa by heart, sending righteous thoughts, eliminating the evil forces within the detention center, validating the Fa, and correcting any thoughts that deviated from the Fa.
We understood that the inmates in our cells were also sentient beings with a predestined relationship and deserved to be saved. Master taught us:
"To put it more clearly, right now during the Fa-rectification, no matter how great are the sins sentient beings have committed or how grave are the mistakes they made in the past, the only thing that is looked at is the attitude that they have toward Dafa and Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period." ("Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference")
We clarified the truth to them, and told them the importance of quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to safeguard their future. From being reluctant to listen to gradually wanting to listen and showing us respect, we inspired their kind nature, guided them on how to be better people, and taught them the short poems in Hong Yin, and how to sing the songs "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Coming for You," and "Be Saved."
Every day the song "Falun Dafa Is Good" could be heard throughout the detention center. "When a Dafa disciple's righteous thoughts are strong his existence in the world has a positive effect." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference") Under the righteous energy field, there was an enormous change in the inmates' minds. Those who fought with each other in the past began finding the goodness in the other person and resolved their conflicts. Some revealed what they did in the past, things that were most disgusting and that they were ashamed off, and promised from now on to be good people. Dafa cleansed their hearts and minds, and cleansed their environment. It was truly "the Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." (Zhuan Falun)
I was interrogated on the fifth day. When I was called in to the room, there were two benches, one in front of the guard and one on the side. I thought I should not be interrogated, and sat on the side bench. When they asked my name, I replied, "Dafa practitioner." I did not reply to any more of their questions after that. Towards the end of the interrogation they asked me, "Do you have anything to say?" I answered, "Falun Dafa is good." They said, "Labor camp for one year." I firmly replied, "I refuse your order." The officials were shocked by my firm righteous thoughts. They hesitated for a while and then seemed not to be as forceful, "If Falun Dafa is good, why don't you practice at home? Why do you have to come out to the public? Didn't you get turned in because of it?" After that, we kept looking inward to see if there was any attachment that had not yet been let go of, looking at where we should improve, reciting the Fa by heart, and we intensified our sending righteous thoughts. The guard told our family members that we would be released in 15 days. We never believed their words; we knew that should not be there one more day.
On the tenth day of our being held in the city labor camp, a guard yelled, "Those who practice Falun Gong, collect your belongings, you are being released." In actuality, we were about to be taken to a forced labor camp far away. They did not notify the family members in a timely fashion, and by the time they arrived at the camp and requested to see us, the guards lied, telling them that we were not being sent away. When the family members believed them and started to leave, suddenly the labor camp gates swung open and two cars pulled out with Dafa practitioners inside. It was a heart-wrenching scene as the family members tried to find their loved ones, while the guards held them back forcefully. The family members had strong righteous thoughts and requested that we be released unconditionally.
I firmly decided that I would completely eliminate this arrangement by the old forces. We have Master, we have the Fa: what are we afraid of? We sent strong righteous thoughts. Master does not acknowledge the arrangements by the old forces, so neither do we. We sent righteous thoughts all the way, and we recited the poem "What's to Fear?" and the verse "When disciples have ample righteous thoughts / Master has the power to turn back the tide" ("The Master-Disciple Bond" from Hong Yin II) I also added one more thought, "You will send me back from where you took me." I will save my sentient beings; I will go back to my place.
When we arrived at the other labor camp, we were taken to an office for a physical exam. I did not have any fear, and felt that Master was around me. When it was my turn, the prison doctor talked to the guard a little, then they rechecked us later. It looked like the evil would not give up and still wanted to keep us. I sent out stronger righteous thoughts, to completely eliminate any evil persecuting Dafa practitioners and asked Master to reinforce our efforts. Suddenly the sky broke loose with lightning; the thunder was deafening. Maybe there was a battle going on in another dimension, it was strange. When the physical exam was over the rain also stopped, and the weather turned cooler. The guards showed me the diagnosis - extremely high blood pressure over 200 - and I was refused by the forced labor camp. With Master's support, I got out of there and came back to help with the Fa-rectification.
I want to thank Master, and all the fellow practitioners in the city for their rescue efforts, and fellow practitioners abroad who made truth-clarification phone calls to the labor camp, which shocked the evil. I will be more diligent, and save more sentient beings to pay back Master's compassionate salvation.
