(Clearwisdom.net) One morning in September, an elderly man was hit by a bicycle, and was lying on the street outside of Jida Hospital in Changchun City, with his eyes closed. Passengers came and went, but no one stopped to help him. When Falun Gong practitioner Jinzi passed by, she approached him and wanted to help him stand up. The elderly man was too heavy however, so she couldn't help him up by herself. She turned to the pedestrians for help, but no one offered to help.
Then a cleaning lady came by, and Jinzi asked the lady to assist her. The cleaning lady said, "Nowadays people who do good deeds often suffer losses. Who knows whether he will say that you knocked him down, when he wakes up." Jinzi smiled at her and said, "Saving people is more important. If I'm really being good to him, he won't do wrong to me." The cleaning lady nonetheless shook her head and left.
Looking at the elderly man lying on the ground, Jinzi bent down in front of him and said to him loudly, "Old brother, if you recite loudly 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good', you'll get better." Then the elderly man moved his lips but didn't make any sound. So she told him, "It also works if you recite it silently and sincerely in your heart. You can repeat after me." She then repeated, "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good." Gradually the elderly man began to move, and slowly he opened his eyes. Then there came a boy about 16 or 17 years old. Jinzi and the boy helped the elderly man to stand up and walk to the side of the road. Jinzi asked the man, "Do you feel better?" He answered, "Yes, I feel better now." Jinzi then clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the man and helped him quit the Chinese Communist Party.
Two days later, Jinzi again passed by the place where she helped the elderly man. Someone was calling her from behind, so she stopped and turned around. It was that cleaning lady. The cleaning lady asked her, "What did you say to that elderly man that day? He woke up so fast." With a smile, Jinzi explained the truth about Falun Gong to her. Another person was saved.
