(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in eight provinces. In this report, seven Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Liaoyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuyuan Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiuyuan was arrested by Li Xue and other officers from Liaoyuan Public Security Bureau Dongji Branch on August 23, 2010, while she was taking care of one of her family members in a hospital. Officers interrogated her and confiscated her cell phone, cash, and other items. During the interrogation, they threatened and abused her, and tried to force her to write a "statement of 'transformation.'"

2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zeng Libo Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zeng Libo was arrested at home on August 26, 2010, by officers from the Domestic Security Division, led by Wen Chunnan from the Haizhu District 610 Office in Guangzhou. She was taken to Nanzhou Detention Center in Haizhu, Guangzhou, and later was sent to a forced labor camp for a term of one year and nine months. On October 10, she was sent to Cuotou Detention Center in Guangzhou.
3. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Jiang Yunqiu Arrested at Home
Agents from the 610 Office and officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Public Security Bureau in Zhongfang County in the Hecheng District, Huaihua, arrested Mr. Jiang Yunqiu at his home on the afternoon of October 13, 2010, and took him to a brainwashing center. They also ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and materials, among other items.
4. [Gaomi, Shandong Province] Officers Harass Ms. Wang Chuanzhen and Attempt to Arrest Her
Officers from Nanguan Police Station went to Ms. Wang Chuanzhen's home to harass her on October 11, 2010. They jumped over the wall surrounding her house, into her yard, and broke the lock on the door. Ms. Wang walked out the door and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" Her voice attracted many people to come to watch. Unwilling to risk public scrutiny, the officers left.
Ms. Wang has been detained many times and sent to a forced labor camp twice. On September 12, 2010, she explained the facts about Falun Gong to two teenagers, who reported her. She was then arrested by officers from Nanguan Police Station and taken to a detention center. She was released when she failed the physical exam.
5. [Suning County, Hebei Province] Information about the Persecution of Ms. Feng Jing
Ms. Feng Jing went to Sujing Public Security Bureau Domestic Security Division to reclaim her private property except her computer on October 14, 2010. She has been held in the domestic security division ever since.

6. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Agents from Jintai District 610 Office Attempt to Arrest Ms. Wang Jiangmei
Yin Zhongqiang, director of Baoji Jintai District 610 Office; officers from Shilipu Police Station; Zhang Baosheng from Shilipu Office; and eight or nine officers from Jintai District Public Security Bureau barged into Ms. Wang Jiangmei's home to take her to a brainwashing center. Ms. Wang's entire family did their best to protect her, and the officers were unsuccessful.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Yuanqiu Arrested
Officers from Yongquan Town Police Station and village cadres barged into Ms. Yang Yuanqiu's home, arrested her, and confiscated her belongings on the morning of October 9, 2010. Ms. Yang's whereabouts are unknown.
9. [Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Caihong Arrested
Ms. Xu Caihong from Zhongshan City, 34, was arrested at home by agents from Zhongshan 610 Office on October 9, 2010, and taken to a city shelter.
10. [Puning, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Liduan Arrested
Ms. Wu Liduan was arrested in Dingcuoliao Village, Zhanlong Town, Puning, on the evening of October 10, 2010. Officers from Zhanlong Police Station collaborated with personnel from Potou Township Government the following day to ransack her home and take her property. Ms. Wu is now being held in Puning Detention Center.

11. [Luzhou, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Sihui Arrested
Mr. Li Sigui from Huayang Township in the Jiangyang District of Luzhou was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division in the Jiangyang District on October 14, 2010, when he was working in a bank. He is now being held in Anfu Detention Center in Luzhou.
12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Shu Sent to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Dong Shu from Shenyang was taken to Zhangshi Brainwashing Center by officers from Taishanlu Police Station in the Huanggu District on the morning of October 12, 2010.
13. [Zhengding County, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Fengying Arrested
Ms. Guo Fengying is from the Third Petroleum Division of Geophysics ,Exploration Bureau in Xinan Town, Zhengding County. She was reported to police on August 1, 2010 while she was handing out materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong at a farmer's market in Xinan Village. Ge Xiaoyong from the Security Section of the Third Petroleum Division and two officers from Xinan Town Police Station ransacked Ms. Guo's home and took her to Xinan Town Police Station.
Officers transferred Ms. Guo to Zhengding Brainwashing Center on August 2. Ms. Guo was sentenced to 15 months of forced labor on August 5. She is now being held in Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.

14. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Niu Guiying Arrested
Staff from Liangjian Quarters Community Residential Committee in Laizhou collaborated with a dozen officers from Laizhou to barge into Ms. Niu Guiying's home at about 7:00 a.m. on October 14, 2010. They took her to Dianzi Brainwashing Center.
15. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Junying Arrested
Mr. Gao Junying is about 55 years old and from Fujiazhuang, on Wenjia Street North, Shouguang. He was arrested on October 10, 2010, while he was cleaning a farmer's market. Mr. Gao is now being held in Danyaoku Brainwashing Center.
16. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Min, Ms. Jiang Yanhua, and Ms. Fan Qingyun Arrested
Ms. Chen Min and Ms. Jiang Yanhua from the Junshan District of Yueyang were arrested by Ye Yi from Liangxinbao 610 Office in Junshan, Yueyang City, and officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Public Security Bureau Junshan Branch, including Shen Wenxin and Fang Cheng, at about 7:00 p.m. on October 11, 2010. They confiscated two laptop computers, a copy machine, and a typewriter.
They arrested Ms. Fan Qingyun at about 8:00 a.m. on October 12, 2010. Ms. Chen is now being held in Yuyang Detention Center. Ms. Jiang and Ms. Fan are being held in Junshan.

Approximately eight officers from Yuancheng Public Security Bureau in Heyuan searched Ms. Liu Sufen's home at noon on October 13 and took her from her home.

18. [Jinzhou City, Hebei Province] How Ms. Kang Yan Was Persecuted
Ms. Kang Yan has been arrested many times. She was taken to Chenjiazhuang Police Station on the evening of September 30, 2003, and taken to a brainwashing center the next day.
On the morning of July 9, 2008, township cadre Cai Juan and several others took her to the police station. They also confiscated her picture of Falun Dafa founder Mr. Li Hongzhi, a satellite dish, and other items. Ms. Kang was released at about 9:00 p.m.
Officers barged into Ms. Kang's home again on July 11, 2008, and took her Falun Gong books. They have continued harassing her from time to time. Ms. Kang was forced to leave her home and move from one place to another for over a month in order to avoid persecution. After returning home, she was again arrested, taken to Jinzhou Public Security Bureau 110 Office, and interrogated. They threatened her with batons and caused her to suffer the relapse of a heart attack. Afraid of being held responsible, they released Ms. Kang.
