(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, with the help of the local township police stations, police officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Zichuan District in Zibo City arrested several Falun Gong practitioners. In December 2009, at least eight practitioners from the Zichuan District were arrested and their residences ransacked.
At around 6:00 a.m. on December 15, 2009, husband and wife, Mr. Fang Shiqian and Ms. Xiao Lanying, both in their 50s, who live in Ezhuang Village, Ezhuang Township in the Zichuan District, were arrested. Their residence was ransacked, and some of their personal belongings were taken. Ms. Xiao was released the next day, but Mr. Fang is still being held at the Zichuan District Detention Center.
On December 17, 2009, practitioners Ms. Chen Shouhua, in her 50s, and Ms. Hou Jiyun, in her 40s, residents of Xishi Village, Ezhuang Township, were arrested at home by officers from the Zichuan District Police Department. They were then detained at the Banyang Street Police Station in the Zichuan District. Their residences were ransacked and their computers, printers, Falun Gong materials, and other personal belongings were confiscated. They were later detained at the Zibo City Detention Center.
Ms. Zhang Yun, in her 30s, a resident of Taihexin Village, Taihe Town in the Zichuan District, was arrested on December 17, 2009, by the Taihe Township Police Station. Mr. Xia Zhenbin, in his 50s, a resident of Taihexin Village, was arrested on December 15, 2009, by officers from the same police station. At around 6:00 a.m. on December 16, Ms. Zhang Yongling, in her 50s, a resident of Heiwang Village, Heiwang Town in the Zichuan District, was arrested.
Mr. Chen Youtian, in his 50s, is a resident of Houzhuang Village, Taihe Town, the Zichuan District. In early December 2009, he was arrested by officers from the Lu Village Police Station of Henshan County after talking to people at his workplace about Falun Gong. Afterward, with the assistance of the Taihe Township Police Station, officers from Hengtai County ransacked Mr. Chen's residence.
When the persecution first started, Xiao Peifeng, a practitioner from Ezhuang Town, was tortured to death by individuals from the Zichuan Domestic Security Division and what was formerly known as the Qiugu Forced Labor Camp. In the past ten years, the Zichuan District 610 Office and Zichuan Domestic Security Division have not stopped harassing and persecuting practitioners. Aside from the eight practitioners arrested in December, nine others were arrested in 2009.
At 8:30 a.m. on October 27, 2009, Mr. Liu Qilong, a resident of Lingzi Village, Lingzi Township in the Zichuan District, was arrested by over a dozen people from the Zhoucun District Domestic Security Division, the comprehensive management office, and the Lingzi Police Station. His residence was ransacked in the process. Police officers confiscated Master's portraits and Falun Gong books. They detained Mr. Liu at the Zhoucun Detention Center.
On October 20, 2009, Ms. Zhu Ling, in her 30s, a resident of the Xiguan #2 Village in the Zichuan District, was arrested at home by officers from the Zichuan Domestic Security Division, Zichuan Criminal Police Team, and Xiguan Police Station. She is currently in the Zibo City Detention Center.
Ms. Zhang Kezhen, 61 years old, is a resident of Antou Village, Shuangyang Town. At 8:00 a.m. on October 13, 2009, she was arrested and detained at the Zibo City "Law Education Center" to be brainwashed.
Ms. Ding Yufang, 41 years old, is a resident of Xihe Village, Yangzhai Town. On July 16, 2009, she was arrested by officials from the Zichuan Domestic Security Division and detained at the Zibo City Detention Center for a month. While she was being held, she was tortured so severely that she became emaciated, and her arms were covered with bruises. On August 14, 2009, officials from the Zichuan City police department subjected her to one year of forced labor. Afterwards, she was transferred to the #2 Women's Labor Camp in Shandong Province.
On June 4, 2009, policemen from Zichuan District arrested Sun Qiming, Gao Li, Gao Min, and Zhu, who are all from the Xiguan #2 Village in the Zichuan District. The officers also confiscated the practitioners' personal belongings. In the afternoon on February 17, 2009, Ms. Liu Cuixiang, a resident of Songjia Village in Lingzi Town, was arrested by personnel from the Zichuan District 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division, and the Lingzi Police Station. Her cash and savings account were confiscated. She was later sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor and detained in the Wangcun Labor Camp, also known as the #2 Women's Labor Camp in Shandong Province.
