Sharing experiences
According to Mr. Yang Sen, the chair of Falun Dafa Association in the Midwest., Falun Gong has spread to many countries and cities, and practitioners have started many projects to explain the facts to the public. The purpose of this conference was to share cultivation experiences in clarifying the facts and cultivating oneself. The conference is usually held every summer, but this year, as there were many projects going on, it was moved to the end of September so that more practitioners could attend.
The conference started at 9:30 a.m. and ended at 5:30 p.m.. Twenty-one practitioners and 6 Minghui School students shared their experiences.
Ms. Jiang from Illinois told how she explains the facts to Chinese people on the phone. She convinces more than 100 Chinese people to quit the party every month. She also shared how she improves her Xinxing during this process. She told everyone that we need to be considerate of those Chinese people who don't believe in God, and not speak at too high a level.
Ms. Yu from Indiana came to the U.S. From Thailand. She shared how she clarifies the truth in this new environment. She is a hair stylist. She takes the chance of serving Chinese to talk to them. Some Chinese learned the truth and emailed her later, saying: "You folks have solid belief. You are the truly strong people."
Mr. Tu from Chicago shared how he cultivates himself working for The Epoch Times. He said: "To do the work well and eliminate the evil's interference, we need to let go of selfishness and cooperate with each other."
Mr. Ding, a college student, started practicing in 2007. He told how studying the Fa helps him get rid of improper thoughts and bad habits.
Many practitioners shared their experiences and understanding of holding Shen Yun Performing Arts shows. Ms. Wang said the process of promoting a show is one of finding one's attachments and getting rid of them.
Many practitioners expressed that they benefited from the talks a lot. A translator at the conference said every speech helped him, and every speech pointed out one of his attachments. Ms. Mao from Missouri said: "I can tell that every practitioner is looking inward and trying to improve. We can save more people only if we can cultivate ourselves well."
