(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 38 cities or counties in 16 provinces. In this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 41 practitioners were illegally arrested
1. [Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Jianyan Arrested
Ms. Sun Jianyan is from Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province. On June 24, 2009, she went to the Luobei County's Police Station, Political Security Section to demand the return of 3000 yuan that was extorted from her by the police in 2008. She was pushed into a police vehicle and taken to the local detention center. At the detention center, police officers repeatedly hit her on the head. Later that day, policemen broke into her home, ransacked the place and confiscated a copier, a printer, a MP3 player, electronic books, a cell phone, truth clarification materials, Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs and some cash. She was later released.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
On the morning of September 15, 2009, nine practitioners from Jilin City went to the Huashan Road area to distribute flyers and tell people the facts about Falun Gong. They were secretly reported and arrested by officers from the Huashan Road Police Station and their homes were ransacked. Practitioners arrested include Ms. Pan Xiuzhi, Mr. Zhang Yan, Ms. Peng Fengying, Ms. Yang Guizhen, Ms. Shi Jingyu, Ms. Sun Yuqiu, Ms Dai and others.

Ms. Zhang Xiufang, a resident of the Shenbeixin District, Shenyang City is being illegally detained at the Dapan Detention Center in Shenyang City.
5. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Ying and Ms. Wang Zhiping Arrested
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on September 15, 2009, Jin Daqing and other officers from the Fusong County Police Department, Quanyang Sub-bureau and Dongfeng Police Station went to Ms. Xu Ying's workplace at the Yanglin General Merchandise Department Store and arrested her. Afterward, the same policemen climbed over the wall of Ms. Wang Zhiping's home and arrested her.

6. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shulan and Mr. Wang Yongli Arrested
Ms. Zhang lives in Shimiaozi Town, Xiuyan County, Liaoning Province. On September 16, 2009, the local policemen arrested her at her home. Her husband Wang Yongli, a non-practitioner, was also arrested by the same policemen at his workplace.

7. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhu Jingyun and His Family Members Arrested
At approximately 4:00 a.m. on September 15, 2009, Mr. Zhu and five members of his family from Chaluhe, Yongji County were arrested by officers from the Yongji County's Public Security Sub-bureau and Chaluhe Public Security Sub-bureau. Three of his children were released, but his eldest daughter, Ms. Zhu Hailing, is still being detained in the Kouqian Detention Center. The policemen ransacked his residence and his place of business. They confiscated two computers, a color printer, a case of printing paper, five copies of Zhuan Falun and 21,500 yuan in cash. Mr. Zhu's wife and sons were beaten by the police officers.
The same policemen also ransacked Mr. Wang Chen's home, and confiscated a television set and a satellite antenna receiver.
To avoid being arrested, Mr. Zhu Jingyun and Mr. Wang Chen have left home and are going from place to place.

8. [Tianjin City] Ms. Yun Xinfeng Arrested
Ms. Yun is a resident of Hebei District, Tianjin City. She was arrested by officers from the Dajiang Road Police Station while she was exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.
9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Chunhua and Others Arrested
On September 10, 2009, Ms. Zhang was arrested by officers from the local police station while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in the Beitou, Miaopusanlu area.
In the afternoon on September 11, Ms. Liu Shuqin went to school to pick up her grandson. When she returned home, she was arrested by seven or eight local policemen outside of her home. The policemen ransacked her house and confiscated a computer, a printer, Dafa books and other personal belongings.
In the morning of September 13, Ms. Zhou Lanying was arrested at her home by seven or eight local policemen. Her home was ransacked and policemen confiscated a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, her Falun Dafa books and truth clarification materials.
On the same day, local policemen also arrested Ms. Renli at her home.
10. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Zhihua and Others Arrested
Mr. Chen lives in Decheng District, Dezhou City. In the night of September 16, 2009, the local policemen arrested him along with Mr. Wang Jianping and Mr. Shao, who were visiting his home at the time.
Policemen ransacked Mr. Chen's home, confiscated a computer, a printer, more than 10,000 yuan in cash and other personal belongings. Currently Mr. Chen, Mr. Wang, Mr. Shao and one other practitioner are being detained in the Dezhou Detention Center.

11. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Genfa and His Family Members Arrested
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on September 16, 2009, Mr. Zhao, his wife Ms. Qiao and his daughter Ms. Zhao Dan were arrested in his home by officers from the Qufu City's Police Station. Mr. Zhao Genfa, 56 years old, is a worker from the Kongfu Residence Brewery Company in Qufu, Shandong. Ms. Qiao is a worker from the Qufu Silk Fabric Factory. Ms. Zhao Dan is a teacher from the Qufu Experimental Grade School.
12. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Shaojie Arrested and Illegally Sentenced
Ms. Qiu lives in the Zhifu District, Yantai City and was arrested by the Yantai local police on March 24, 2009. The police first took her to a brainwashing center and then transferred her to the local detention center. On July 29, the Zhifu District Court in Yantai City sentenced her to a four-year prison term. Currently, she is being detained in the Jinan Prison.
13. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Xune Arrested
On August 25, 2009, officers from the Longkou Mining Bureau, Beizao Mine Police Station and Beizao Property Company arrested Ms. Qiu while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and her home was ransacked. Currently, she is being imprisoned in a brainwashing center in Longkon City.
14. [Guantao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Junmei and Ms. Liu Arrested
Ms. Li Junmei is in her fifties and Ms. Liu is in her seventies, and both are from Guantao County. On September 17, 2009, they were arrested by the local police while distributing flyers and exposing the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

15. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jing Shuqin Arrested
Ms. Jing works for a bus manufacturing company in Dingzhou City. On the morning of September 11, 2009, she was secretly reported and arrested by officers from the Tiexi Police Station while she was distributing brochures at the Pangbaitu Village School. Currently, she is detained at a local detention center.
16. [Laishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Shuyi Arrested
Mr. Chen lives in Dongwang Town, Laishui County. On September 2, 2009, he was arrested by officers from the Zhuozhou City Police Station while he was telling people about Falun Gong. At approximately 5:00 p.m. that afternoon, policemen from the Zhuozhou City Police Station, Laishui County Police Station and Wangcun County Police Station ransacked his home, and confiscated his Dafa books, a MP3 and MP4 player and sound equipment. Currently, he is being detained in the Zhuozhou City Detention Center.

17. [Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Xiao Hunhua Arrested
Mr. Xiao, in his early thirties, is from Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. He owns a barber shop located in Puning City in Guangdong Province. In the beginning of September 2009, he left Puning City and returned home to Ji'an City to take care of his wife and newborn baby. However, when he was in the Ji'an bus station, police officers searched him and found a MP3 player and an electronic book with Dafa content. They arrested him, and he is now being held in the Ji'an Police Station.
In the afternoon on September 11, 2009, his barber shop was ransacked by the Puning Police.
18. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Hussein Arrested
Ms. Yang, 22 years old, is a resident of Hengyang City. On September 16, 2009, she was arrested at her workplace by officers from the Yanfeng District State Security Division and taken to the Linghu Brainwashing Center.
19. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Fan Kejuan and Ms. Xie Qiaoming Arrested
At approximately 7:00 a.m. on September 16, 2009, Ms Fan Kejuan and Ms. Xie Qiaoming from Fuzhou Normal University in Yangguanxin Village were arrested by officers from the Fuzhou District State Security Division and their homes were ransacked.
On the same morning at approximately 8:00 a.m, Ms. Wang Xiuqin, a resident of Machang Street, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, was arrested by local policemen and her home was ransacked.
20. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Fenghua Arrested
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 17, 2009, officers from the Chengnan Police Station in Yingcheng City arrested Ms. Tian and took her to Yingcheng City's Second Detention Center.

21. [Hanchuan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Xingying Arrested
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on the morning of September 16, 2009, Ms. Huang, a resident of Hanchuan City, was arrested by Liu Shaochun and other officers from the Chengbei Police Station while she was telling people about Falun Gong. She was first detained at the Chengbei Police Station and then transferred to the Shaochun City First Detention Center.

22. [Linshui County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhong Dongsheng's Persecution Details
Mr. Zhong is a doctor in his thirties and a resident of Yuanshi Town, Linshui County. He was arrested by Li Jiliang, captain of the Linshui National Security Bureau, and police officer Hu Yu. These two officers used police batons to beat him on his back, chest, and the joints on his hands and legs. They handcuffed him and used the batons to twist the handcuffs to make them tighter, and then beat him some more. The policemen didn't stop torturing him until blood trickled down his wrists. Mr. Zhong was disoriented and on the verge of losing consciousness.
On the second night, he was taken to the Linshui County Detention Center by Li Jiliang. In the detention center, the prison guards kicked and punched him on his chest and back, slapped his face, knocked his head against a wall, pushed his head down into water, and burned him with cigarette butts. The beating finally stopped when he lost consciousness.
23. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Kuang Cuie's Home Ransacked by Policemen
On the morning of September 16, 2009, Ms. Kuang's home was ransacked by staff from the Ziyang 610 Office along with seven officers from the State Security Division. Policemen confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun and some truth clarification materials.
24. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Pan Huiqin Arrested
Ms. Pan Huiqin is a resident of Pingliang City. At around 4:00 p.m. on September 10, 2009, she was exposing the persecution in front of her house when she was arrested by officers from the Jiefang Road Police Station. Policemen ransacked her home and confiscated a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, some copies of Zhuan Falun and Minghui Weekly magazines. She is being held in Jiangjiagou, Kongtong District, Pingliang City.
25. [Linshui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guihua Sentenced
Ms. Liu is from Linshui County and has been imprisoned for six months in a local detention center. In the beginning of September 2009, she was sentenced to a four-year prison term by a local court from Linshui County and was transferred to the Xichang Detention Center.
26. [Fujian Province] Ms. Fan and Her Daughter, Ms. Xie Xiaoming Arrested
On the morning of September 16, 2009, Ms. Fan and her daughter Ms. Xie Xiaoming, both from Fujian Normal University, were arrested.
27. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Hailan Arrested
On the morning of September 15, 2009, Ms Jiang from Heishan County was arrested in her home by the local police and her place ransacked. Currently, her whereabouts are unknown.
28. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Wu Guifang and Others Arrested
On September 15, 2009, officers from the Chuanhui District Police Department Sub-bureau in Zhoukou City led officers from the Jianshe Road Police Station and Beijiao Police Station, and they arrested Ms. Wu Guifang, Ms. Liu Guirong and seven other practitioners and ransacked their homes.
29. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhou Jinrong Arrested
Mr. Zhou is a resident of Shajiang Village, Xibei Township in Yi County. On August 5, 2009, Mr. Zhou and his family members were watching a Falun Gong DVD on television and were spotted by policemen. On September 3, 2009, he was arrested by Liang Liu and other officers from the Yi County Airport Police Station. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
30. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xing Qi and Ms. Luo Aiyun Arrested
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 16, 2009, Ms. Xing was taken into custody in her home by local policemen. At approximately noon the same day, Ms. Luo was arrested by more than ten officers from the local police department and her home was ransacked.
31. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Mr. Cong Shaoguo Taken to the Siping Brainwashing Center in Gongzhuling City
32. [Beizhen City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cheng Hongxin Arrested
Mr. Cheng, who resides in Shuanghe Village, Liaotun Township was arrested by the local police at approximately 11:00 p.m. on September 13, 2009. Currently he is being detained in the Beizhen Detention Center.
33. [Yanji City, Shandong Province] Mr. Jin Minghao and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Jin is a resident of Yanji City. At approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 15, 2009, he and his five-year-old son were visiting Mr. Pu's home, where he was arrested by policemen who broke into Mr. Pu's house. The policemen immediately beat him in front of his young son. Afterwards, three policemen took the child back to his home and arrested the child's mother, Ms. Zheng Yinyue. Policemen also ransacked the home and took all of the family's Dafa materials, a desktop computer, three laptops and other equipment.
34. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Jianqiu and His Family Members Suffer Persecution
At around midnight on September 14, 2009, officers from the Sichuan Police Department and Jiulong Township Police Station, Township Head Liu Guanghua and Deputy Mayor of Longfeng Township Ceng Weichun broke into Mr. Yang's home, ransacked the place and confiscated two printers, a computer and other personal belongings. The confiscated items were worth more than 10,000 yuan. The policemen also arrested Mr. Yang's daughter Yang Juan and his daughter-in-law Yang Zhengju, took them to the Jiulong Police Station and didn't release them until September 15. Mr. Yang was able to escape from his home safely.
35. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Lianbo Arrested
At midnight on September 16, 2009, four officers from the Dafangshen Township Police Station in Dehui City arrived in a police vehicle at the Dongxiajia Village in Dafangshen Town. They broke the windows, climbed into Mr. Liu's house and arrested him. The four officers then dragged him out of his house and pushed him into the police car. Inside the car, the policemen brutally beat him repeatedly. Currently, Mr. Liu is being detained in the Dehui Detention Center.
36. [Haikou City, Hainan Province] Mr. Kuang Bikai Arrested on September 9, 2009
37. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Hu Yunxia Arrested
Ms. Hu, who resides at Tieluxincun, Jiujiang City, was arrested by officers from the Xunyang District and the Lushan District Police Station on the morning of August 19, 2009. The policemen ransacked her home and took away two computers and many other personal belongings.
38. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ouyang Fan Taken into Custody
Mr. Ouyang is a resident of Shashi District, Jingzhou City. On the morning of September 16, 2009, he was arrested at his workplace in the Wenxing School, Jingzhou City by officers from the Shashi District Police Department Sub-bureau, State Security Division and the Chaoyang Police Station.

39. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Xiujuan and Ms. Han Chengchun Arrested
In the afternoon of August 20, 2009, Ms. Zhu and Ms. Han were arrested by the local police in Ershilipu Town, Rencheng District, while they were telling people about Falun Gong. Currently, they are being detained in the Jining City Detention Center.
