(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 7 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Hu Zhenhua Persecuted
Mr. Hu Zhenhua, 72, lives in the Dongjingting area in Nanjing City. In 2001, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested by police. Later, Mr. Hu wasillegally detained in a detention center for two years. In 2003, Mr. Hu was detained again by officers from the Xiaoshi Police Station and forced to undergo brainwashing through the 610 Office brainwashing center in Xiaguan.
On September 4, 2009, Mr. Hu was again taken to another brainwashing center in the Xiaguan District.
2. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Ma Xiaoli Arrested
On September 8, 2009, Ms. Ma Xiaoli was arrested by a group of police officers at the Public Security Bureau in Weicheng District, and her home illegally seized. It is not yet known where Ms. Ma is being held.

3. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Fengchun Arrested
On the evening of September 7, 2009, Ms. Liu Fengchun was taken from her home and her home was ransacked. She is now being held in the Yanshan County detention center.
4. [Jiangxi Province] Mr. Qin Guohua of Jiujiang City Sent to Detention Center
Mr. Qin of Gongqing Development Zone, Juijiang City, was held in a detention center for 15 days.
5. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lai Lifen and Ms. Chen Yuwan Persecuted
On September 1, 2009, Ms. Lai Lifen was taken to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, and sentenced to one year and nine months. Ms. Chen Yuwan continues to be held in Qinhuang Detention Center in Meizhou City.
6. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Dehu, Ms. He Shaozhen and Ms. Hu Meizhi Arrested
Ms. Liu Dehu, and Ms. He Shaozhen of Paizhouwan Town, Jiayu County, were reported to police when they were clarifying the truth in Zhuangwu Village on the morning of September 9, 2009. Ms Liu Dehu and Ms. He Shaozhen were taken to First Detention Center of Jiayu County.
At 3:00 p.m. one afternoon, Ms. Hu Meizhi, a middle school teacher at Lantian Middle School, was also seized and taken to the First Detention Center of Jiayu County.
7. [Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. Xu Xiaogao and Mr. Xu Xiaoping Persecuted
In early August 2009, Mr. Xu Xiaogao and Mr. Zhen Xiaoping of Shima Town, Longhai City, Zhangzhouioners, were arrested and are now being held in the detention center in Longhai City.

8. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun De-Xiang Tortured
On the evening of July 25, 2009, Ms. Sun Dexiang of the Wuying District in Yichun City was arrested inside her yard by police officers Zhang Yinle, Jiao Yongjun, and Wang Yinggui, who jumped into the yard to apprehend her. They ransacked Ms. Sun's home and took away her computers and personal items, such as salary cards.
Ms. Sun Dexiang has been held in Wuying Detention Center and has been tortured. For four days and nights she was deprived of sleep.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yin Sirong Arrested
Ms. Yin Sirong was illegally arrested and taken to a forced labor camp by the Public Security Bureau of the Wanzhou District of Chongqing. She is now being held in the Seventh Brigade of Xishanping Forced Labor Camp of Beibei, Chongqing City.
10. [Haikou City, Hainan Province] Mr. Kuang Bicai Taken Away
On the morning of September 8, 2009, Mr. Kuang Bicai was arrested by agents from the local 610 Office and taken to the brainwashing center in the Jinken Hotel near by Jinniuling, Haikou City, where he was tortured.
11. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Tian Xinchang and Ms. Li Tingxiang Arrested
On September 2, 2009, Mr. Tian Xinchang and Ms. Li Tingxiang were arrested by over ten officers from the Lianxi Police Station in the Congtai District of Handan City. Their homes were ransacked and their personal belongings confiscated. Now Mr. Tian and Ms. Li are being held in the First Detention Center of Handan City.
12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chaohui and Ms. Tu Xiujuan Arrested
At 9:30 a.m. on September 9, 2009, when Ms. Wang Chaohui was running her store on Qiwei Road in the Shenhe District in Shenyang City, she was arrested by several plainclothes policemen from the Domestic Security Bureau of the Shenhe District. They put on black bag over her head and handcuffed and beat her. Both she and her youngest son were taken to Huigong Police Station. Later, her son was released to go back home with her husband.
At noon on that same day, Ms. Wang Chaohui's managing partner, Ms. Tu Xiujuan was also arrested by the Domestic Security Bureau of Shenhe District, Shenyang City.

13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xia Mingqing and Wife Arrested
On the evening of September 9, 2009, Mr. Xia Mingqing and his wife Ms. Zhang Lian of Boquan Farmland in the Dongxihu District, Wuhan City, were tracked and arrested by police when the couple were explaining the facts about Falun Gong. Their home was taken over and the couple were taken to Boquan Police Station. Ms. Zhang was released at the request of her family members while Mr. Xia was transferred to another location.
14. [Inner Mongolia] Mr. Qi Hongshu Taken Away by Authorities
Mr. Qi Hongshu was taken away at noon on September 8, 2009. His whereabouts remain unknown.
15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Feng Xiaomei and Ms. Li Arrested
September 7, 2009, Ms. Feng Xiaomei and Ms. Li were arrested by officers with the Bayi Road Police Station in Dalian City. Ms. Feng's home was ransacked. Her Dafa books, computers, printers, and other materials were taken away.
On September 8, two elderly practitioners went to Ms. Feng's home to study the Fa. They were also arrested by plainclothes police. They were later released due to their poor health.
16. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Guofeng's Illegal Prison Term Extended
Ms. Gao Guofeng's illegal prison term was extended for seven months and 10 days at the Qianjin Labor Educating Court
Ms. Gao, in her fifties, of Shuangcheng City in Heilongjiang Province, was sentenced to a two-year prison term in September 2007. She was incarcerated in Qianjin Educating Court. While her term should have ended on September 10, 2009, because Ms. Gao publicly shouted "Falun Dafa is good," her term was extended.
17. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Mr. Xu Dongping and Ms. Zhang Xiufang Sentenced
On the afternoon of May 28, 2009, Ms. Xu Dongping and Ms. Zhang Xiufang, of Dongfeng County, Jilin Province, were reported for going to Nadanbo Town of Dongfeng County, to tell people the facts about Falun Gong. They were arrested by Fu Yumin, head of Shahe Town Police Station. They have been held in the Dongfeng County Detention Center.
On September 8, 2009, Ms. Xu was sentenced by Dongfeng County Court to three and a half years imprisonment and Ms. Zhang sentenced to three years. Ms. Zhang is now being held at the Dongfeng County Detention Center.
18. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Hongyan Arrested
Ms. Guo Hongyan was arrested by the National Security Division of the Shenhe District, Shenyang City.
19. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Lanying Arrested by Police in Wujia Town
On September 9, 2009, Ms. Li Lanying of Wujia Town, Shuangcheng City, was reported to police and arrested by the Wujia Town Police Station, for posting truth-clarifying materials in Shuangjing Village. Ms. Li is now being illegally held at a detention center in Harbin City.
20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guili and Ms. Liu Jingyu Arrested
On the morning of September 9, 2009, Ms. Zhang Guili and Ms. Liu Jingu of Jinzhou District, Dalian City, were reported to police when they were clarifying the truth to people near a flea market in the Jinzhou District. They were arrested by officers from the Yongzheng Police Station in the Jinzhou District.
Ms. Zhang's home was ransacked and her Dafa books taken away. Both women were held in a Dalian City detention center for drug addicts. Ms. Zhang was detained for 15 days and Ms. Liu for ten days.
21. [Changsha County, Hunan Province] Ms. Cao Biwen Arrested
Ms. Cao Biwen is in her fifties. She was reported to police because she was distributing truth-clarifying materials in a local area. At about 4:00 p.m. on August 30, 2009, she was arrested at her home by police from the 610 Office. All her Dafa books were confiscated. Ms. Cao is now being illegally held in Changsha County Detention Center.
