(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 37 cities or counties in 15 provinces. In this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 50 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Nengjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jiang Xinbo Arrested
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 10, 2009, Mr. Jiang Xinbo from Qianjin Town, Nengjiang County, Heilongjiang Province was followed and arrested by two plainclothes officers at a marketplace. At approximately 10:00 a.m., five to six officers from the local 610 Office and the Public Security Department searched Mr. Jiang's home.
2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Several Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Tang Qi, a resident of Hongshan District, Chifeng City who is in his seventies, was arrested along with his wife, Ms. Ma Guixia. They are being held at the Chifeng East Detention Center.
Mr. Su Xiangxin, a resident of Zhenxing Neighborhood, Songshan Distrct, Mr. Yin Zhong and his wife were arrested on September 10, 2009. Ms. Liu Yuqin, a teacher at the No. 3 Elementary School, was also arrested. Ms. Zhao Shufang from Xiawazi Village, Chifeng City and another female practitioner were arrested. Ms. Su Xiuzhen from Wusan Township, Chifeng City and another practitioner Wang were arrested.
Ms. Gao Guixia from the local Geological Prospecting Team and her husband were arrested. Ms. Gao has been taken to Hebei Province.
3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Xiufeng and Ms. Li Hua Arrested
On the morning of September 10, 2009, Ms. Zhang Xiufeng and Ms. Li Hua, both from Longfeng District, Daqing City were reported while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. They were arrested by officers from the Longfeng Public Security Department. Both of their homes were searched.

4. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Qi Hongshu Arrested
On September 7, 2009, Mr. Qi Hongshu, a teacher from the Honghuagou Gold Mine, was arrested.
5. [Beijing] Ms. Qing Xiuying Arrested
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 11, 2009, Ms. Qing Xiuying from Beijing was arrested by over a dozen officers from the Chaoyang Public Security Department. The officers searched her home and confiscated several Falun Gong books, a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong and several copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
6. [Beijing] Additional Information on the Persecution of Ms. Li Shufang
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on August 9, 2009, Ms. Li Shufang was arrested. On the same evening, Ms. Li was taken to the Guichuan Jingu Hotel in Yanqing County, where heavily sentenced criminals are held. Liu Herong, the head of the Yanqing County 610 Office interrogated Ms. Li. On the next day Ms. Li was transferred to the Changping Detention Center.
7. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Haibin's Home Searched
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 11, 2009, Liu Zhigong from the Houcun Town Police Station led several other officers, and broke into Mr. Zhang Haibin's home and searched it while there was nobody home. The officers took away a TV set, a DVD player, a satellite receiver, an MP3 player, an MP4 player, several DVD's, some Falun Gong books and materials, and an unknown amount of cash.
8. [Baobeidian City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Zhenchun Harassed
On September 9, 2009, two local officials went to Mr. Hu Zhenchun's home and asked him to turn in his identification card. At approximately 8:00 p.m. that night, Zhang Jingqi from the Beicheng Police Station and two other officers searched Mr. Hu's home and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun and a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong.

On August 25, 2009, Ms. Chen Xianhui, a resident from Jiangjin District, Chongqing City, who is 61, was reported and arrested while she was distributing Falun Gong related materials. She was held at the Jiangjin Detention Center and was transferred to the Langshan Detention Center in Jiangjin District on September 8, 2009.

11. [Shaowu City, Fujian Province] Mr. Jiang Jianping Tortured
Mr. Jiang Jianping from Shaowu City was hung up and beaten by the Shaowu Domestic Security Division for several days. His hands were so swollen that they were severely deformed. The police also hit his back with the side of their palms.
12. [Pi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yuanzhen Tortured and Suffered Traumatic Perforation of the Tympanic Membrane as a Result
Ms. Zhang Yuanzhen, a 52-year-old resident of Pi County, was tortured by Su Bo and other officers from the Hongguang Police Station in Pi County. Doctors at the Pi County Hospital examined Ms. Zhang and provided following diagnose: traumatic perforation of tympanic membrane, perforation of Shrapnell's membrane, and blood in the nearby area.

13. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Qiuyan Sentenced to Forced Labor
On August 23, 2009, Ms. Xu Qiuyan from Hengshui City was sentenced to one year of forced labor by the Hengshui City 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division. She is being held at the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp.
14. [Xining City, Qinghai Province] Mr. Tang Fabang Arrested at Approximately 11:00 a.m. on September 8, 2009
15. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Suzhen Arrested
At noon on September 8, 2009, Ms. Chen Suzhen, 64, a resident of the Third Group of Qingping Village, Huangxu Town, Deyang City, was body-searched by local officials while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at the Huangxu Town Farmer's Market. The officials confiscated her truth-clarifying materials and arrested her. They then went to search her home and confiscated the Falun Gong books, a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong and other related materials. Her whereabouts are unknown.

On the morning of September 8, 2009,. Ms. Wang Mingfang from Shanghai was arrested by the Shanghai 610 Office and the State Security Department and sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center.
18. [Xin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Ge Qinghua Arrested
On September 10,. 2009, Ms. Ge Qinghua, in her sixties, was arrested by seven or eight officers who broke into her home. Her whereabouts are unknown.
19. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Fengchun Arrested
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on September 7, 2009, officers from the Yanshan County Public Security Department broke into Ms. Liu Fengchun's home, searched her place and confiscated the cash in her purse and her computer, cell phone and other personal items. Ms. Liu, 31, was then taken to the Yanshan County Detention Center.

22. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Xiuying Arrested
On the afternoon of September 6, 2009, Ms. Liu Xiuying (handicapped) from Lishui County, Nanjing City, tried to clarify the truth about Falun Gong with two other practitioners at the Suguo Supermarket to a stranger who turned out to be a plainclothes police officer. The officer then took the three practitioners to the Yongyang Police Station. The other two practitioners went home later that night, but Ms. Hu was not released. Her whereabouts are unknown.
23. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Meilan Arrested
On the morning of August 21, 2009, Ms. Chen Meilan was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station in Dantu New District.
On August 28, 2009, seven or eight officers from the Helin Police Station searched Ms. Chen's home.

25. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Bingnan Arrested Again
According to sources, shortly after she was released from Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Chen Bingnan was arrested again while she was at work by officers from the Weifang Public Security Department. Her whereabouts are unknown.
26. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Jieming Arrested
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 2, 2009, as soon as Ms. Liu Jieming and her daughter stepped outside their home, an officer came from upstairs and forced his way into their home. He ransacked the place and confiscated their Falun Gong books, exercise music tapes, a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong and other personal items. He then arrested Ms. Liu and took her away.
27. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yu Arrested
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on September 10, 2009, Ms. Wang Yu, a teacher at the No. 2 Middle School in Liaozhong County, was arrested.
Mr. Li Haifa and his wife Ms. Liu Qin were arrested on the same evening.
28. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Guiying and Ms. Guo Yan's Mother Arrested on the Afternoon of September 9, 2009, in Fuqiang Village, Qitaihe City
29. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yanqiu Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Wang Yanqiu was arrested on August 29, 2009 while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to a student. She was held at the Wumahe Detention Center. On September 10, 2009, she was sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labor. She is being held at the Harbin Rehabilitation Center.
30. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Hongyan Arrested
At approximately noon on September 9, 2009, the Shenhe District Domestic Security Division and the Erjing Street Police Station sent close to twenty officers to Huililai Bakery to arrest Ms. Guo Hongyan and several others. The officers searched the store and closed it down afterward. Ms. Guo's father, owner of the bakery, was released later that day. That same day, another female practitioner was arrested as well. These two practitioners are being held at the Erjing Street Police Station.

On September 7, 2009, officers from the Shiqiao Police Station in Faku County, Shenyang City went to Ms. Chuai Dianjiu's home and tried to arrest her but were not successful, as no one opened the door for them.
On the afternoon of September 8, 2009, five officers went to Ms. Chuai's workplace, Faku County Vocational High School, and took her to her home. They forced their way into Ms. Chuai's home and ransacked the place. They confiscated Falun Gong books, DVD's, truth-clarifying materials about Falun Gong, a DVD player and other personal items. Ms. Chuai has been detained since.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 11, 2009, seven officers from the Meishan Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Luo Libin's home when she and her father were both at home. The officers searched their home and confiscated a laptop computer, a desktop computer and other personal items. The officers also tried to arrest Ms. Luo and twisted her arm.

In September 2009, Ms. Ma Xiaoli, 39, an electrician of the Bafang Co., Ltd was reported while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in her workplace. On September 9, 2009, she was arrested by the Weicheng Domestic Security Division. She managed to escape later that day but was forced to leave home.
On the same day, the Weicheng Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Ma's home and took away a computer, a printer and some Falun Gong related materials. Four plainclothes officers have been showing up near Ms. Ma's home.

Ms. Wang Yuhua from Juling Town, Linying County was arrested by the county Public Security Department around August 10, 2009. She is being held at the county detention center. The officers also confiscated Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying DVD's from her home.
39. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiao Guolian Arrested
On September 1, 2009, Mr. Jiao Guolian, 52, from Yuhong District, Shenyang City, was arrested by officers from the Pingluo Police Station in Yuhong District. He is being held at the detention center.
40. [Dancheng County, Henan Province] New Information on the Persecution in Dancheng County
On September 4, 2009, officers from the Dancheng County Public Security Department broke into the home of Mr. Gu Zhiwei, a relative of a practitioner, and arrested him. The officers found lectures by the founder of Falun Gong in Mr. Gu's computer. He was released after his family was forced to pay money to the police.
At approximately 6:00 a.m. on September 8, 2009, officers from the Dancheng County Public Security Department went to Ms. Hu Guirong's home. After they searched her home and could not find anything they were looking for, the officers still tried to arrest Ms. Hu. The harassment went on until 9:00 p.m. when the officers finally left. Ms. Hu was forced to leave home after that to avoid further persecution.

On October 8, 2008, officers from the Liaoyuan City 610 Office, Domestic Security Division and the Xining Police Station arrested Ms. Sheng Shuyun and searched her home. The officers confiscated her computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, three cell phones, three electronic books, and two MP3 players. The officers also forced her to sit on a metal chair. She was later sent to the Liaoyuan City Detention Center. On December 25, 2008, she was sentenced to a four-year term by the Longshan District Court in Liaoyuan City. On August 13, 2009, she was taken to Heizuizi Women's Prison.
In October 1999, Ms. Sheng was arrested by the Zhanqian Police Station and detained for 15 days. On April 25, 2000, she was arrested by the Zhanqian Police Station and detained for two months and extorted 3,000 yuan in cash. In April 2002 she was arrested by Zhang Shulin and other officers from the Zhanqian Police Station and sent to forced labor camp for two years.
