(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liang Meihua Vomits Blood as Result of Persecution
Eight female Falun Gong practitioners from Nanchang City were studying Falun Dafa books and talking amongst themselves at Ms. Liang Meihua's home at 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2009, when a group of officers from the Kuaizixiang Police Station in Xihu District broke in and illegally arrested them. Sixty-year-old Liang Meihua was held at Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center, where she was tortured so severely that she vomited blood. She is now being held at a prison hospital.
Liang Meihua was illegally sentenced to prison and held at Jiangxi Province Women's Prison. She was forced to stand for more than ten hours a day, causing her feet and legs to become swollen and difficulty in walking. The officials often deprived her of sleep, and for a while she slept only two hours a day. The inmates assigned to watch Liang Meihua verbally and physically assaulted her on a routine basis. They locked her in solitary confinement in the heat of summer. For 42 days she was not allowed to take a shower or change her clothing.

2. [Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yushan Taken to Yongqing County Detention Center
Officials from Yongqing County's 610 Office and the police department's Domestic Security Division joined officers from Yangmazhuang Police Station to break into Ms. Zhang Yushan's home at noon on September 1, 2009. They sent her to Yongqing County Detention Center. The same group of officials broke into practitioner Ms. Yan Chunhuan's home later at 1:00 p.m. on the same day and arrested her. They ransacked her residence and sent her to the Yongqing County Police Department.

3. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] Police Harass Numerous Practitioners
The head of the Matou Town Police Station in Fucheng County, along with other officials, harassed practitioners Ms. You Tianlan and Ms. Qi Xifen at their homes at 7:00 a.m. on September 3, 2009, and tried to arrest them. Their families went to the police station and signed statements on the practitioners' behalfs that promised they would not go to Beijing to appeal during the October 1 weeklong events, and so the police did not arrest them. The same officers took pictures of Qi Xifen on the morning of September 4, 2009.
4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Persecution of Ms. Wang Yan and Ms. Sun Shurong
Ms. Wang Yan and Ms. Sun Shurong are still being held at Dalian Detention Center. Sun Shurong takes care of her aunt and uncle, both of whom are in their seventies, so they are now left to fend for themselves.

5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Haiqiu and Ms. Xiao Huiye Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Someone reported 55-year-old Ms. Yu Haiqiu from Fushun City when she talked to someone about Falun Gong at a private home in July 2009. She was sent to Masanjia Labor Camp to be held for one year.
Fifty-seven-year-old Ms. Xiao Huiye from Fushun City was sent to Masanjia Labor Camp to be held for two years.
6. [Heilongjiang Province] Money Extorted from Mr. Zhai Guiyu
Officers from Xiangyang Police Department Qiaonan Police Station in Jiamusi City illegally arrested Mr. Zhai Guiyu at 8:00 p.m. on June 22, 2004 and held him at Jiamusi Detention Center for 24 days followed by 33 days of detention at a labor camp. He went home on August 18, 2004 after the authorities extorted 20,000 yuan from his family.
7. [Henan Province] Persecution of Mr. Zhao Baozhuang and Mr. Yang Yong
The police illegally arrested and detained Mr. Zhao Baozhuang in September 2007 for his belief in Falun Gong and held him until July 2009. The police did not notify his family and did not let his family see him. They secretly sentenced him to 12 years in prison in July 2007. He has appealed this illegal sentence.
After the police unlawfully arrested Mr. Yang Yong and his sister from Sanmenxia, they also arrested his wife and two-year-old child and put them in a labor camp.
8. [Tianjin] Ms. Lu Houfeng Arrested
Officers from the Dasi Town Police Station in Xiqing District waited outside Ms. Lu Houfeng's apartment building and arrested her on the morning of September 3, 2009 when she left home. They took her to the Dasi Town Police Station and transferred her to Yangliuqing Detention Center in Xiqing District the next day.
9. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Liang Yunying Arrested Again
Sixty-three-year-old Ms. Liang Yunying is a retiree from the Nanyang Oilfield Petroleum Extraction Factory. Officers from the Nanyang Oilfield Police Department Domestic Security Division arrested her again on the afternoon of September 4, 2009 when she was exposing the Communist Party's crimes in public. She was taken to the Tanghe County Detention Center on September 5, 2009.
10. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Seventy-year-old Mr. Wang Junjie Arrested
Someone reported Mr. Wang Junjie from Xizhaozhuang Village, Chengguan Town, Shenze County when he was talking to people about Falun Gong inside the Shenze County Market at 11:00 a.m. on September 5, 2009. Officers from the Chengdong Police Department in Chengguan Town later unlawfully arrested him. They sent him to Shijiazhuang Detention Center at 5:00 p.m. on the same day.

11. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Aiying Arrested
Eight officers from the Qi Village Police Station in Shahe City broke into Ms. Yang Aiying's home at 9:30 a.m. on September 5, 2009 and illegally arrested her. They subsequently sent her to an undisclosed location in Xingtai City and her family is currently looking for her.
12. [Shandong Province] Persecution of Ms. Zang Lihua
Ms. Zang Lihua from Yijia Village in Dazeshan, Pingdu City was taken to a police station and held there for five days. She went home after the police extorted 1,000 yuan from her family.
The police had previously ransacked Zang Lihua's home in 2007 and stole all of her Falun Gong books and exercise tapes. They came back in December 2007 and waited in front of her residence. When she returned home, the police who were waiting there snatched her purse, which contained Falun Gong flyers, and held her at the police station for ten days. They extorted 10,000 yuan from her family before letting her go home. They never issued any receipt for the money they took from her family.
13. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Numerous Practitioners Persecuted
A group of Changyi County 610 Office agents went to Mr. Liu Jiageng's home in Lige Village, Beimeng Town and stole pictures of Mr. Li Hongzhi, Falun Gong books and a VCD player. They took Liu Jiageng to the Beimeng Police Station. They also arrested Ms. Liu Shuzhen in the same village. At the same time, some police officers went to four practitioners' homes in Quqi Village, Beimeng Town and stole computers and other personal belongings from Mr. Qu Cunxing's home. They took printers and a bag of Falun Gong discs from Mr. Qu Lexiang's home and even arrested his wife, who does not practice Falun Gong. Qu Cunxing is held at the Beimeng Town Police Station.

14. [Faku County, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Arrests of Mr. Liu Guojie and Ms. Wu Qiuju
Liao Guogang and other officers from the Dagujiazi Town Police Station in Faku County illegally arrested Ms. Wu Qiuju at her home on the morning of September 3, 2009. They took five copies of the book Zhuan Falun, a recorder and exercise cassettes, among other things. These officers arrested Mr. Liu Guojie at his home at 11:00 a.m. They did not find any Falun Gong-related things at Liu Guojie's home, so they went to his brother's home, as they share the same courtyard, and took two greeting cards and one calendar with Falun Gong messages on them. Wu Qiuju was taken to a detention center in Shenyang City while Liu Guojie is being held at the Faku County Custody Center.

15. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] Additional Information on the Unlawful Arrests of Ms. Wang Yuping and Ms. Liu Yanping
Officers from the Gonghelai Police Station illegally arrested Ms. Wang Yuping and Ms. Liu Yanping from Zhangqang Town, Kangping County, Shenyang City when they were distributing Falun Gong materials in Hubo Village, Gonghelai Township, Kezuohouqi, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on the evening of August 31, 2009. They held her overnight at the Gonghelai Police Station. Officers Alatan and Ba Minhui from Kezuohouqi Domestic Security Division took the two women to Kezuohouqi Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of September 1, 2009. They are now being held at Kezuohouqi Detention Center.

16. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Guihua Arrested
Officers from the Dongxi Town Police Station unlawfully arrested Ms. Wang Guihua, who is in her sixties, from Dongxi Town, Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, at her private shop. It is said that she is now being held at the Ziyang City Detention Center.

17. [Chongqing] Mr. Luo Guisheng and Ms. Yang Xijuan Taken to Zhoujiaba Detention Center
18. [Chibi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zheng Yuling Taken to Hubei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zheng Yuling, a former employee of the Chibi City Business Bureau, was illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. She was taken to Hubei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp in August (year uncertain).
19. [Sichuan Province] Persecution of Mr. Wang Minghua and His Brother Wang Mingshou
Officials from the Miyi Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Wang Minghua, who is around 70 years of age, and his brother Wang Mingshou on September 4, 2009. Nine officers broke into Wang Minghua's home and ransacked it. They took the television, satellite receivers, recorders and other private possessions, as well as all Falun Gong books.
20. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Zhenghui Arrested at 10:00 a.m. on September 4, 2009
21. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Bolin Arrested
Ms. Lu Bolin, a teacher at Shuiguohu's No. 2 Kindergarten in Wuchang District, Wuhan City was sent to Erzhigou Women's Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City on August 3, 2009. After 15 days of illegal detention, she was sent to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center in Wuchang District.
22. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Aihua and Ms. Zou Huiling Illegally Arrested
The police unlawfully arrested Ms. Yang Aihua and Ms. Zou Huiling from Rongcheng City on the morning of September 6, 2009. Yang Aihua returned home in the evening but Zou Huiling is still being held in police custody.

23. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shumin Unlawfully Arrested and Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Zhao Shumin from Haozhuangzi Village, Huanggezhuang Town, Fengnan District, is in her fifties. Wang Hongcheng, head of the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station, along with officer Bi Haibo and others, illegally arrested her on August 3, 2008, and held her for 24 hours. They sent her to the Fengnan Detention Center on August 4 and held her there for six months, during which time officer Wang Jingbo savagely beat her. It was learned that Fengnan Court has secretly sentenced her to three years in prison.
24. [Shanggao County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhong Yanzhen Sent to Brainwashing Center
Shanggao County 610 Office agents illegally arrested Ms. Zhong Yanzhen on August 30, 2009, based on fabricated charges, and sentenced her to two years in a forced labor camp. It was learned that Zhong Yanzhen has been taken to a detention center. She is emaciated and weakened as a result of the extreme abuse.
25. [Linying County, Henan Province] Mr. Niu Wenxue Illegally Arrested
Wu Huili, head of the Domestic Security Division, led officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station to arrest Mr. Niu Wenxue, Ms. Kou Jing and another practitioner from Linying County on August 25, 2009. They ransacked the practitioners' homes and held them at the county custody center.

26. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Tian Xinchang and Wife Li Tingxiang Illegally Arrested
Officers from Lianxi Police Station in Congtai District, Handan City illegally arrested Mr. Tian Xinchang and his wife Li Tingxiang at 7:00 p.m. on September 2, 2009. They ransacked the couple's home twice on September 3, 2009, and took their personal belongings. Both practitioners were sent to the Handan City No. 1 Detention Center.
