(Clearwisdom.net) (Correspondent from Harbin) Ms. Wang Huiling went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Dafa in 2000, and was arrested upon her arrival by police from the Qianmen Station, and then detained in the Changping District Detention Center. After she was identified as being from Harbin, the police transferred her to the Harbin City Liason Office in Beijing. Officers from Xinle Police Station in Daowai District, Harbin picked her up from Beijing, and officer Li Pei extorted 1,000 yuan from her family, but never released her. Ms. Wang was detained in the Harbin City Second Detention Center.
Ms. Wang was tortured at the detention center, where they forcibly stripped off her clothes, and made her do repetitive sitting squats continuously, and then forced her to sit on the floor in a fixed position where she was not allowed to move. Several days later her family was notified that she had suffered a stroke, and was being sent to the Harbin City Medical University Second Affiliated Hospital. When her family rushed there, Ms. Wang was unconsciousness. Her family could not afford to keep her in the hospital, and had no choice but to take her home.
Over the past nine years Ms. Wang never fully recovered. Despite her condition, the police kept harassing her at home and threatened her and her entire family. Recently the Harbin police were doing another round of arrests of Falun Gong practitioners to keep "order" during the winter Chinese Communist Party congress. Ms. Wang died under this tense environment.
