(Clearwisdom.net) My colleague's family has several friends who practice Falun Dafa. However, his family does not have a very positive understanding of Dafa. I think that besides the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda, their negative views have also largely been related to Dafa practitioners' daily behavior. Therefore I have a few points to share with fellow practitioners.
1. We Can Validate the Fa Only by Staying Rational
"Validate the Fa with rationality," ("Rationality," Essentials for Further Advancement) is one of the fundamental requirements that Teacher gives to the Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. We need to validate the Fa, but we cannot act irrationally and make it hard for people to accept or understand us. Not every non-practitioner will read Dafa books. Dafa disciple's words and actions are the direct vehicle for them to understand the Fa. Teacher has stated this clearly in "The Attachment of Zealotry" (Zhuan Falun). If people do not treat Dafa disciples as regular people and if they will not deal with us, not only will they not create conflicts for us to improve our Xinxing, but we may also destroy the image of Dafa in their minds. This itself will add more difficulties for us to validate the Fa. On the other hand, if we follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance all the time and demonstrate the difference between Dafa disciples and non-practitioners, then our words will be more powerful. People will be more inclined to listen and develop consideration for the Fa.
2. We Must Not Forget Our Priorities When we Clarify the Truth
When it comes to truth clarification, I think some fellow practitioners are too eager to save people and advise them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. This is likely to lead these practitioners into a trap, leaving people with the impression that practitioners will only talk about "the rotten CCP." These practitioners have a good intention: to let people see clearly the CCP's true nature; however, they may easily forget our original goal while focusing too much on the CCP. Our goal is to save people! Why do we talk about the true history of the CCP and the brutal reality? It is not to complain, and not out of hatred, it is not for throwing someone out of power, but it is to let people understand why the Heavens will eliminate the CCP and to understand that we are saving them. If people fail to see this point and fail to feel the mercy of Dafa disciples, they will feel that we are involved in politics. They will think, "Falun Gong said that they wouldn't become involved in politics, but they care about everything whether it is related to them or not, and they exclusively talk about about anti-communist party sentiments. Aren't they politicizing?" Such a view will block them from understanding the truth and being saved.
