(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China contains persecution accounts which took place in 20 cities and counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 21 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Jiaonan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xue Xiuling and Ms. Wang Zhengmei Arrested
On the morning of August 14, 2009, while they were distributing DVDs of the Shen Yun show, Ms. Xue Xiuling and Ms. Wang Zhengmei were reported and arrested by officers from the Tieshanlu Police Station. They are being illegally detained at this police station.
2. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. You Changbao and Mr. Gao Wencheng Arrested
At around 6:00 a.m. on August 14, 2009, Ms. You Changbao and Mr. Gao Wencheng from Nonghe Township, Tonghe County, were arrested by Liu Peimin, a policeman from the State Security Department of the Tonghe County's Public Security Bureau, and Xia Limin, a car driver from Nonghe Township, Tonghe County. They ransacked Mr. You's home and confiscated 2,000 yuan in cash, a computer, and some Dafa books.

3. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Shen Yang and Others Arrested
On July 20, 2009, Mr. Shen Yang was arrested and taken to Hongzehu Prison by officials from the Huaiyin District Court. The following day, officers from the Qingpu State Security Department and the local police station went to Mr. Shen's home and harassed his family many times. As a result, Ms. Zhang Cuifang, Mr. Shen's wife, had to leave home and become homeless.
On August 11, Ms. Lin Cuihua, about 40 years old, was arrested and taken to Judong Forced Labor Camp in Nanjing by officers from the Qingpu State Security Department. Ms. Lin was sentenced to a one-year term of forced labor.
At about 9:00 a.m on August 11, Yong Jiaquan, deputy director of the Qingjiang Police Station, Qingpu Public Security Bureau, and Sun Yong, an officer from the local police station, arrested Mr. Zhu Degan, who is about 70 years old. Currently, Mr. Zhu's whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Ding Shumei Sent to a Brainwashing Center
On August 4, 2008, Wang Xiaolong, director of the 610 Office from the 38th Group Corporation of China Electronics Technology in Hefei City, along with Song Heng, director of the Security Department, and Lu Yue, a police officer, arrested Ms. Ding Shumei and put her in a forced labor camp for one year.
On August 24, 2009, Ms. Ding's forced labor term was over and she was sent to a brainwashing center by Chen Xuejun, the CCP secretary of the 38th Group Corporation, and Wang Xiaolong, director of the 610 Office, Song Heng, director of the Security Department, and staff from the 610 Office in Hefei City and the Shushan District.
5. [Jiahe County, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Zhumei and Other Practitioners Arrested by the 610 Office and State Security Department
On the night of August 6, 2009, Ms. Li Zhumei and Ms. Liao Hongcui, both from Jiahe County, were arrested in Dongta Park by officials from the 610 Office and police officers from the State Security Department. Their homes were ransacked and their computers, printers, and a bike were confiscated. Mr. Guo Huisheng, Ms. Li's husband, was also arrested. These three practitioners are being detained at the Jiahe County's Detention Center.

6. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Yiwen Mistreated at the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City
7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Limei and Ms. Zheng Lu Arrested
On August 5, 2009, Ms Wei Limei and Ms. Song, both from Jinzhou, were arrested in Xinmate while they were telling people the truth about Falun Gong. Ms. Wei's home was ransacked and her computer confiscated.
Ms. Zheng Lu from Jinzhou City was arrested when she was conductin business at the Commercial Bank.
8. [Daxinganling Area, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Shuying Arrested When Distributing Flyers
At 2:00 a.m. on August 14, 2009, Ms. Gao Shuying was arrested when she distributed fliers in Walagan.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Zonglan Arrested--Her Whereabouts Unknown
On June 26, 2009, Ms. Liu Zonglan was arrested and taken to the Zhaochang Police Station by officers from the Dadong District State Security Department. Later they confined her in an iron cage at the Zhaochang Police Station. Her home was ransacked. On June 27, she was taken away and her current whereabouts are unknown.
10. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xia Mianfeng and Her Nine-Year-Old Daughter Arrested
On August 13, 2009, Ms. Xia Mianfeng and her nine-year-old daughter from the Jing District in Weihai City were arrested while they were posting truth clarification materials at the Yangjiatan Bridge. They were reported to the police because they had tried to clarify the truth to two migrant workers. Police officers arrested both of them.
11. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Mr. Feng Xiao and Other Practitioners Persecuted
Mr. Feng Xiao is from Huaji, Linquan County, Fuyang, Anhui Province. He suffered two years in a forced labor camp. After he was released, he could not stay at home and had to become homeless to avoid further persecution. On August 1, 2009, Mr. Feng was arrested at his workshop by several policemen and Wan Chuanhong, director of the Ying Quan District Public Security Bureau, Fuyang City.
On August 3, 2009, officers from the Datianji Police Station in Fuyang City arrested Ms. Li Xiaomei and confiscated her computer, printer, and her cash. Later, they also arrested Ms. Li Dongmei, Ms. Li's elder sister, and Mr. Zhou Jianyong, Ms. Li's brother-in-law. Ms. Li Dongmei and Mr. Zhou Jianyong were released.

12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Daoqiong and Ms. Li Zuorong Persecuted
Ms. Zhou Daoqiong was sentenced to one year imprisonment by officials from the Qingbaijiang District. Ms. Li Zuorong was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.
13. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Deyu Illegally Arrested
At about 10:00 a.m. on June 23, 2009, Mr. Liu Deyu from Jingmen City was beaten and injured by police officers while he was trying to clarify the facts. He was forced to become homeless and went to Zhijiang City, Hubei Province. Later, he was taken back and detained in the Huyaguan Detention Center in Jingmen City.
Mr. Liu, 53, was employed by the Anti-epidemic Stationin Jingmen City. He was illegally imprisoned in a forced labor camp for three years. He was forced to undergo brainwashing and detention many times and was abused and tortured by the CCP.
14. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zou Xiuyu Illegally Detained
Ms. Zou Xiuyu is from the Baoan District, Shenzhen City. On July 14, 2009, she was arrested by agents from the 610 Office and officers from the Gongle Police Station when she was on her way to handle her business. Ms. Zou is now in the Jiuwei Detention Center in the Baoan District.
15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Feng Gang and Ms. Wang Juan Tortured
Mr. Feng Gang and Ms. Wang Juan are husband and wife from Dalian City. On July 4, 2009, they were arrested and detained in the Yaojia Detention Center by officers from the Huanghelu Police Station, State Security Department.
After one month of torture, Mr. Feng and Ms. Wang are in critical condition. Mr. Feng was hospitalized in Hospital 201 because he cannot eat anything due to renal enlargement, and the hospital made preparations for renal surgery. His wife has developed liver and heart disease.
16. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Shao Fangdong and Two Other Practitioners Tortured
Mr. Shao Fangdong, Mr. Zhang Chunjie, and Mr. Wang Chengli were sentenced to forced labor and locked up in Chaoyanggou Detention Center. Mr. Shao was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.
17. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Xuzhen Arrested
On June 23, 2009, Ms. Tang Xuzhen, an associate professor of the Luzhou Medical University was arrested. She was handcuffed for several days, so that she was not able to take care of herself, and her skin started to canker.
18. [Tianjin City] Ms. Wang Yanxia Arrested
At about 4:00 p.m. on August 12, 2009, Ms. Wang Yanxia from East St., Bangjun Township, Tianjin City, was arrested. Her home was ransacked.
19. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Xueqing Arrested and Taken to Chang'an County Brainwashing Center
On July 21, 2009, Ms. Li Xueqing from Xi'an City was arrested and taken to the Hujiamiao Police Station when she was trying to clarify the facts to people in the street. She escaped from the police station two hours later. At about 3:00 p.m. on August 3, Ms. Li was taken by force to a brainwashing center by seven people--- police officers from the Xinjiamiao Police Station, Weiyang District, and employees from the Street Office.
20. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Yi Arrested by the State Security Department in Chongqing
On August 7, 2009, Ms. Wang Yi from the Yuzhong District in Chongqing was arrested by police officers from the State Security Department in Chongqing. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor camp by the Chongqing Court. She is detained in the Jiangbei District Women's Forced Labor Camp.
21. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Mingli Detained at the Ertouwan Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xiang Kairong, about 50 years old, from the Jiangbei District, in Chongqing was arrested when she was posting truth-clarification materials. She is detained in the Huaxin St. Police Station in the Jiangbei District.
23. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Changying from Yunshan Farm Persecuted
Ms. Wang Changying from the 15th Subdivision, Yunshan Farm, Hulin Citym had been fined several times by the local police due to her practicing Falun Gong. On May 9, 2004, she and another practitioner went to the Hulin City Hall to clarify the facts about Falun Gong and request the release of the detained Falun Gong practitioners in the Hulin Detention Center. Wang Bingyan from the Hulin 610 Office called the police from the State Security Department of the Hulin Public Security Bureau and had them arrest these two practitioners. They were both put in a detention center. Their families had 8,000 yuan extorted from them and were fined 2,000 yuan before they were released.
In the spring of 2005, Ms. Wang was reported to the police by a student's parent because she told her students the truth about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked and she was arrested and detained at the Yunshan Public Security Subdivision for three days before they locked her up in the Bawuqi Detention Center for 13 days. She was released after her family had 3,000 yuan extorted from them.
24. [Bazhong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yan Yuming Arrested Again
Ms. Yan Yuming, 56, is from Nanjiang County, Sichuan Province. On August 11, 2009, she was arrested at the street market by police from the State Security Department of Nanjiang County.
In July 2000, she went to Beijing to petition for Falun Gong and was arrested and send to a forced labor camp for one year. She was detained in Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong, Sichuan Province. In 2002, she went to Minjiang St., Zhugen Township, Wutongqiao District, Leshan City, but was forced to go back to her hometown--Changchi Township, Nanjiang County--by the police from Leshan City. In 2005, she was arrested and detained three times. In 2006, she was sentenced to one year imprisonment by officials from the Nanjian County Court.
