(Clearwisdom.net) On July 2, 2009 in Laixi City, Shandong Province, 13-year-old Niuniu was taken away from her class by the police because of a letter she wrote called "I Want My Mom Home." She was questioned and harassed without being accompanied by her teachers or parents for thirty minutes.

Miss Sun Xinjuan, a 16-year-old student in Shandong Province was reported to the local authorities by her school for distributing reading materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in school. She was then arrested and sent to the Linyi City Brainwashing Center.

Miss Yang Xiangpei, a 17-year-old student in Henan Province was also reported to the police by her teacher merely because she expressed her opinion about Falun Gong in class. She was subsequently illegally detained, threatened, locked in a cell, sent to a brainwashing center and held at a detention center.

School was once a place of nurturing the young and teaching them to seek both knowledge and virtue. Teachers were entitled, "engineers of human soul" and were respected and looked up to. After reading the stories above however, I feel sorry for the children and sad for the teachers, schools and our country.

Have the students done anything wrong? Was it wrong for a child to want to see her mom? Was it wrong for a student to express her opinion? In response to these students who had opened their pure hearts to communicate with them honestly, what did the teachers do?

I feel sad for the schools because I have seen the behavior of those maintaining their positions when others were dismissed just for their belief in Falun Gong. Some of them stated immediately that they were on the Party's side in the persecution, some lowered their heads and sighed for the persecution against innocent people once again but kept their distance from Falun Gong practitioners, and others found the persecution a chance to benefit themselves. Where are the noble standards that educators once upheld? The CCP corrupts all aspects of society including the education system, so it is no wonder the stories mentioned above happened at schools.

The Chinese Communist Party has a slogan, "Education is the foundation of a plan of hundreds of years," but it is just a lie because it only wants to "educate" people to be obedient, so that no one would question its brutal governance. China's future is not something it cares about but something it is going to ruin, for it has been destroying the traditional Chinese culture of five thousand years with the communist philosophy of fighting and atheism.

All Chinese people are victims under the CCP's regime. It has been robbing us, controlling our minds, killing our fellow citizens and twisting our thinking. The tradition of Chinese people upholding righteousness and dignity has been turned into fear, slavery and cruelty. In order to survive, we have kept silent and become numb.

However, can we really survive by keeping quiet about the persecution? Can we not be ashamed when facing our conscience? To the innocent young students, can we say that we have taught them to be honest, kind and tolerant? Have we passed on to them virtue and truth? These are questions for all of us.
