1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Lixia in Critical Condition Due to Persecution
Ms. Wang Lixia from Dazhujiazhuang Village, Baichigan Township, Zhuzhou City in the Baoding Area, is in critical condition due to the severity of the persecution conducted at the Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Wu was beaten and her arms broken by Liu Ziwei, Head of the First Division of the Hebei Women's Labor Camp.
2. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Mr. Cui Lu Cannot Eat and in Critical Condition Due to Persecution
On March 19, 2009, Mr. Cui Lu, in his forties, from the Agriculture Ministry in Zhuolu County was arrested just for practicing Falun Gong. The police subsequently ransacked his home. He has been secretly detained since then and so far has been illegally detained for about five months. While being held at the Zhangjiakou Detention Center, Mr. Cui lost consciousness several times and was in critical condition. After emergency treatment, his condition was somewhat stabilized. Next, he was transferred back to the Zhuolu County Detention Center, but was refused admittance by the authorities there due to his terribly fragile condition. However, under pressure from Wang Jiang and Ren Yuan, secretary and deputy secretary of the Zhuolu County Party Committee, the detention center authorities were forced to follow their orders and detain Mr. Cu anyway. He currently cannot eat anything and is in critical condition.

3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Yi and Ms. Hu Jinxiu Harassed
On the morning of July 23, 2009, two elderly practitioners, Ms. Li Yi and Ms. Hu Jinxiu from the Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, visited Ms. He, a practitioner who is nearly blind. While the three were visiting at Ms. He's home, officials from the Xicun Street Police Station, the Xicun Street Community, and the local neighborhood committee broke in and arrested Ms. Li Yi and Ms. Hu Jinxiu and took them to the Xiancun Street Police Station. The police then forced them to make a deposition, sign it, and have their photos taken.
At noon on the same day, when the police left work, they ordered the security men to keep the two elderly ladies detained, but didn't provide any food for them. In the afternoon, the police had to release the practitioners because they couldn't find any evidence. However, in the late afternoon and evening, officials from the local street community and the local neighborhood committee went to the ladies' home to harass them. Since then, Ms. Hu Jinxiu has been receiving harassing calls from the neighborhood committee. On July 27 and July 28, 2009, officials from the Yuexiu District Police Department and the Huayue Street Police Station twice went to Ms. Li Yi's home to harass her, and forced her to submit letters that guarantee she has quit practicing Falun Gong.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Yulian Illegally Arrested
On the morning of July 21, 2009, Ms. Li Yulian, 57, retired from the 066 Wanshan Special Vehicle Manufacture Facility in Xiaogan City, was arrested by officials from the Hongshan Police Department. The police subsequently ransacked her home and stole her computer, a printer, a DVD burner, a laminator, and so forth. She is being held at the Wuhan City Women's Detention Center

On August 6, 2009, Ms. Chen Qingzhi and another practitioner from Yingcheng City were arrested while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in Dongmafang Street, Yingcheng City. They are currently held at the Yingcheng No.2 Detention Center.

6. [Inner Mongolia] Ms. Wang Xiaodong Arrested and Persecuted
Around 10:00 a.m. on August 7, 2009, officials from the 610 Office in Elunchun Autonomous Banner, Inner Mongolia, and the 610 Office in Dayangshu Town broke into Ms. Wang Xiaodong's home, which is located in the Fifth Brigade, Xinhua Village, and ransacked it. The police subsequently arrested Ms. Wang and took her to the fourth floor of the Dayangshu Police Department.

7. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Xia Arrested and Detained
Around 9:00 p.m. on August 6, 2009, Ms. Hu Xia from Yangma Town, Chongzhou City, was arrested by officials from the Yangma Town Police Station. She is currently held at the Chongzhou City Detention Center.
8. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xiong Yuzhen and Ms. Huang Guihua Severely Persecuted
Around 8:00 p.m. on July 20, 2009, Ms. Xiong Yuzhen and Ms. Huang Guihua from Changde City were reported while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. They were arrested and held in the Chengbei Police Station. The police subsequently transferred them to the detention center. The keys to their houses were taken, and their homes were ransacked. The police found nothing at Ms. Xiong's home, and found only five copies of Minghui Weekly at Ms. Huang's home. The police detained them for fifteen days and then sent them directly to Zhuzhou Forced Labor Camp without following due process of law. Ms. Xiong has been unlawfully subjected to one year of forced labor, and Ms. Huang Guihua to one and a half years of forced labor.

10. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Qingfang Tried in Court
On the afternoon of July 20, 2009, Ms. Chen Qingfang, who is being held at the Futian Detention Center, was tried at the Shenzhen Futian People's Court. She had to defend herself in court, and her relatives were forbidden from even attending the proceedings.
11. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Youju Unlawfully Held at the Beibei Detention Center
On August 7, 2009, Ms. Wang Youju from Beibei District, Chongqing was arrested at home. It is said by her relatives that she is currently in the Beibei Detention Center.
12. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Two Women in Their Sixties Arrested
On the morning of August 6, 2009, a practitioner named Cui, who is in her sixties, was arrested by officials from the Daxiakoudong District Police Station. The next afternoon, Ms. Wang Yiying, in her sixties, was also arrested.
13. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Ms. Chen Jinxiu
Around 5:00 p.m. on June 19, 2009, Ms. Chen Jinxiu was reported while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong and distributing copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in Hujia Village, Zhusha Township, and was subsequently arrested by Liu Bin and three other officials from the Guanqiao Police Station in Jiayu County.

On August 5, 2009, Ms. Wei Limei from Jinzhou City was reported while clarifying the facts at the New Mart Shopping Mall and was subsequently arrested by five policemen. At this time her whereabouts are unknown.
15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Mr. Chen Zuxin
On April 29, 2009, Mr. Chen Zuxin from Sanhong Village, Tanshu Township, Caidian District, Wuhan City, was reported while clarifying the facts in Tanshu Street and was subsequently arrested by officials from the Zhashan Police Station. He was sent to and detained at the Caidian District Police Department's Domestic Security Division. Later, he was transferred to the Hongmiao Detention Center in the Caidian District and is still being detained there.

On August 5, 2009, Mr. Jiang Jianping from Shaowu City was arrested in Fuzhou City. At this time he is being severely tortured at the Shaowu Detention Center.
17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Shuyan Transferred to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City
Ms. Song Shuyan from Dalian City was arrested on November, 9, 2008. Since then, her relatives have been forbidden from visiting her, and her condition has gone from bad to worse. Recently, without notifying her relatives, Ms. Song was secretly transferred to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City .
18. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Hou Xicai and Mr. Dai Qihong Persecuted and Transferred to Another Prison
Mr. Dai Qihong, a guard from Mudanjiang Prison, and Mr. Hou Xicai, a public servant in the financial section of Mudanjiang Prison, were arrested in March 2008 by officials from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division in Mudanjiang City because they steadfastly practiced Falun Gong. One year later, they were subjected to respective sentences of five years and four years in prison and then were sent to Mudanjiang Prison. They were grossly abused for three months as part of the team of prisoners assembled for training there and have now been transferred to another prison.
19. [Wuan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bai Yinhua Persecuted at the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp
In the middle of July 2009, Ms. Bai Yinhua from Wuan City was arrested at her home by officials from the local police station and police department. The police ransacked her home and had planned to send her to the Wuan Detention Center. However, after a physical examination, Ms. Bai was found to have hypertension and heart disease, and the detention center refused to admit her. So the police charged 19,000 yuan to bail her out and then released her.
Several days later, the police once again arrested her at her home and gave her one year at a forced labor camp. She is currently held in Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her relatives are forbidden from visiting her.
20. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xu Dashu Arrested
Mr. Xu Dashu is retired and lives in Minjicaoxiedian Village, Macheng City. On the afternoon of July 28, 2009, Xu Shiqian (Xu Dashu's nephew), who is a judicial administrator in Baiguo Town, called Mr. Xu Dashu, asking him to come to Baiguo Town. As soon as he arrived, officials from the Domestic Security Division, who had been waiting for him, arrested him immediately. So far his whereabouts are unknown.
Officials from the Nanhu Police Station subsequently ransacked Mr. Xu Dashu's home and stole his personal belongings, including his child's computer. The officials from the Domestic Security Division didn't tell his relatives about his arrest until the afternoon of July 29, 2009.

21. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolian] Ms. Li Dan Arrested Again
Ms. Li Dan was a nurse in the Yuanbaoshan District Hospital in Chifeng City. She has been arrested three years in a row. In 2001, she was arrested and held at the Kalaqin Banner Detention Center. She had to be displaced in 2002. In 2003, she was again arrested and sent back to Chifeng City and heavily sentenced.
Afterwards, Ms. Li ran out of the brainwashing center, but she had been forcedly displaced. She was discharged from office and was sought by the police throughout the entire country. In July, 2009, Ms. Li Dan was again arrested in Jilin Province. She is currently held at the Pingzhuang Detention Center in the Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City.

22. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Rongfang Arrested and Money Extorted from Her
Around 5:00 p.m. on July 16, 2009, Ms. Liu Rongfang, in her fifties, from Tanghai County was reported while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong at the Jinsha Market and was subsequently arrested and held at the Tanghai County Police Station. The police extorted more than ten thousand yuan from her relatives and then released her.
23. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Boru Harassed
On the morning of June 14, 2009, Ms. Liu Boru, in her seventies, from Tanghai County was reported while clarifying the facts in Tanghai County and was subsequently arrested and sent to the Tanghai County Detention Center. The police detained her for five days and extorted ten thousand yuan from her relatives as a a guarantee of her whereabouts and pending trial. Afterwards, officials headed by Li Fuguo from the 610 Office in Tanghai County kept returning to her home to harass her.
On the morning of August 4, 2009, Ms. Liu's husband received a call ordering Ms. Liu to go to the police department. The police threatened the couple, saying that the consequences would be worse if she didn't go.
24. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Fenglian Facing a Second Trial
Ms. Xiong Fenglian was sentenced to three years at a forced labor camp on June 22, 2009, by the Xisaishan District Court in Huangshi City. She is being held at the Huangshi No.1 Detention Center. Her relatives haven't received the written judgment yet.
Ms. Xiong is now preparing the appeal materials in the detention center. The detention center forbids her relatives from visiting her. Her relatives contacted a just lawyer from Beijing and submitted the relevant materials to the Huangshi Intermediate People's Court on August 7, 2009, in order to appeal to the court.

26. [Henan Province] Ms. Shang Guiping Persecuted to Mental Instability by the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City
Ms. Shang Guiping from Xinmi Copper Mines Administration in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, was reported on the afternoon of July 18, 2009, while distributing truth-clarifying materials in a village. Within three days, she had been arrested and sent to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City. She was illegally sentenced to more than one year.
Ms. Shang was first at the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp back in 2001. Within two years, she had become mentally disordered and was then released.

On the morning of July 21, 2009, Ms. Xu Yonggui, 58, from the Yubei District in Chongqing went out to distribute truth-clarifying materials. She was tracked down in the Kaiyuan Residential Area in Yubei District by officials from the Yubei District Domestic Security Division and was subsequently arrested at 9:40 a.m. and taken to the Yubei District Detention Center. She was unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor and has been transferred to Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp in the Yubei District, Chongqing.

From 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on August 2, 2009, Wu Donghui, Head of the Donge County Police Department instigated the Donge County Police Department's State Security Bureau and Public Security Bureau and the police stations in several townships to send out many officials to harass Mr. Lei Yudong, Mr. Wang Shuliang, Mr. Yu Kelin, Mr. Shi Deyue, Mr. Liu Lei, Mr. Zhou Chuangang, and Ms. Miao Qin.
Several police officer went to Mr. Wang Shuliang's home, demanding that he sign the search warrant, but Mr. Wang refused to sign. Then the police ransacked Mr. Yu Kelin's home and confiscated five hundred yuan's worth of paper money with the words "Heaven will eliminate the CCP" written on each bill, a stamp with the words "Heavens will eliminate the CCP," three MP3 players, and truth-clarifying materials. The police also ransacked the homes of Ms. Miao Qin and Mr. Liu Lei' and stole their computers.
30. [Manzhouli City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Xing Shuguang and Her Husband, Mr. Zhang Yu, Arrested
At midnight on August 7, 2009, about twenty policemen went to Mr. Zhang Yu's house, which is located in Manzhouli City. They surrounded his house and attempted to break in, but failed. The police kept it surrounded till the next morning and then brought in special para-military assault police and firemen. Around 8:00 a.m. on August 8, 2009, the police broke out the windows and fired numerous rounds of tear gas bombs into Mr. Zhang's home. They forcibly arrested Mr. Zhang Yu and his wife, Ms. Xing Shuguang. They additionally arrested his father, who is not a practitioner. The three were all taken out in handcuffs.
