(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Ling, Ms. Feng Zhongrong and Others Persecuted
On approximately July 29, 2009, Ms. Yang Ling, an employee of the Chongqing Huawei Electronics Equipment Factory in Beipei District, was distributing truth-clarifying materials when someone reported her, and she was arrested and taken away by police from the local public security department. Two days later, eight police officers went to the home of Ms. Feng Zhongrong, a co-worker of Ms. Yang, and searched it for three hours. The police then took Ms. Feng to the Beipei Detention Center.
It was reported that the police searched the home of Ms. Jiang Youbi on August 5, 2009. She was not home at that time.
2. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Information on the Persecution of Ms. Zhang Xingqi and Others
Between July 18 and 20, 2009, Tan Yunhui from the Domestic Security Bureau in Xiangtan City and ten other agents had searched the homes of Ms. Zhang Xingqi, Mr. Zhang Xianping and Ms. Li Lijun. They arrested Ms. Li Lijun in the evening of July 20, 2009.
At dusk on July 18, 2009, the domestic security agents once again shut down the store that Ms. Zhang Xingqi's daughter was running and went upstairs to do a search. Then they went to Ms. Zhang and her daughter's homes for further searches. The agents destroyed some of Ms. Zhang and her daughter's personal property and did not leave until after midnight.
In the evening of July 19, 2009, six officers from the Domestic Security Unit of the Yuhu State Security Branch in Xiangtan City broke into Mr. Zhang Xianping's home and searched it. They took away a picture of Falun Gong's founder and a copy of Zhuan Falun.
Ms. Yang Shunying and Ms. Zhang Yaqin were illegally sent to the Changsha Women's Prison in March 2009. Their families have not been allowed to visit them.
3. [Beijing] Mr. Pang You Arrested Again After Serving an Eight-year Term
Mr. Pang You from Chaoyang Distrcit, Beijing was sentenced to eight years in prison on September 27, 2000. He was released on September 27, 2008. On August 3, 2009, ten months after he went home, he was once again arrested by the police from the Laiguangying Police Station in Chaoyang District. He is currently detained in the Chaoyang District Detention Center.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Jian Arrested
Mr. Deng Jian, in his forties, is a resident of Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City. He was arrested on his way home on August 5, 2009.
5. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xu and Others Arrested
On the morning of May 22, 2009, Ms. Xu, in her fifties, was distributing truth-clarifying materials near the sports center in Xiangtan City when someone reported her. She was arrested by the police from the Yuetang District Public Security Department in Xiangtan City on July 17, 2009.
On the morning of July 3, 2009, two elderly practitioners from Xiangtan City were arrested while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials along Jianshe Road South. They were later detained at the Shuyuan Road Police Station. Their current whereabouts are unclear.

6. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Lu Huafeng and Ms. Wan Min Arrested
On August 4, 2009, Mr. Lu Huafeng, an employee of the 852 Farm in Baoqing County, was arrested at his work unit. Ms. Wan Min was arrested at the same time.
7. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Jianjuan Arrested
At approximately 4:00 p.m. on August 5, 2009, Ms. Yang Jianjuan was clarifying the truth near the Jiajiayue Supermarket in Xingfu Village 5 when someone reported her. She was later arrested by Zhen Jianbo, a police officer from the Xingfu Police Station, where she was detained between the afternoon of August 5 and 7:00 p.m. on August 6, 2009. At approximately 8:00 p.m. on August 6, 2009, Ms. Yang was taken to the Yantai Detention Center, where she was held for fifteen days.

8. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yongjiu and Another Practitioner Arrested
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on August 5, 2009, Ms. Wang Yongjiu, a resident of Zhangzhuang Residential District, and a practitioner in her fifties whose last name is Dang, were arrested by the police from the Qianjin Police Station. Both of their homes were ransacked.
9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Chenghua Arrested
Mr. Li Chenghua, a resident of Fengrun District, Tangshan City, was arrested in the evening of August 5, 2009 when he was clarifying the truth near the entrance of Huanxianghe Park. He is currently detained in the Fengrun District Detention Center. At approximately 8:00 p.m., the police searched his home and took two truth-clarifying DVD's.
10. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Kai's Home Searched and Ms. Huang Yuyang Arrested
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on April 24, 2009, the police from the Jianghai Police Station in Haizhu District, Guangzhou City broke into Ms. Huang Kai's home on Yiyuan Road South and arrested Ms. Huang Yuyang, who was renting Ms. Huang Kai's home. They searched the house as well. Ms. Huang was on a business trip and escaped the arrest. Since then, the Haizhu District "610 Office," the Jianghai Police Station and the Chigang Police Station have been harassing Ms. Huang's family for her whereabouts. They tried to force her to come home and give up her belief in Falun Gong.
11. [Cao County, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Fazhu and Ms. Zhu Cuilan Taken to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp
12. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Han Fengjiao and Practitioner Deng Arrested
Ms. Han Fengjiao from Changsha City was arrested in the afternoon on August 1, 2009, along with a practitioner in their sixties whose last name is Deng, when they were distributing truth-clarifying materials. They are currently held in the Security Detention Center under the Changsha Public Security Bureau's jurisdiction.
13. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guizhen and Ms. Liu Xiulan Arrested
On August 2, 2009, Ms. Liu Guizhen, a resident of Liugaizi Town, Linqing City, and Ms. Liu Xiulan, a resident of Weiwan Town, Linqing City, were arrested by officers from the Linqing State Security Bureau and the local police station. The police confiscated their computers and printers.

14. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. Huang Minghui Illegally Sentenced to a Four-Year Term
15. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Additional Information on Ms. Wang Liying's Arrest
Ms. Wang Liying is a 50-year-old retiree of the Yongji Electrical Machinery Plant in Yuncheng City. Ms. Wang Liying's sister Ms. Wang Xiaohua is a 60-year-old retiree from Yuncheng City. Ms. Zhang Yongqin, 42 years old, is married to an employee of the Yongji Electrical Machinery Plant.
On the evening of June 25, 2009, Ms. Wang Liying, Ms. Wang Xiaohua and Ms. Zhang Yongqin took a bus to go out and clarify the truth. They were arrested by police officers who were following them. The police also searched their homes and confiscated their computers, printers, CD writers, book-binding machines, paper cutters and Dafa books. The three of them are currently held at the Yuncheng City Detention Center, and no family members are allowed to visit them.
16. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Zhongxiu Arrested
Ms. Li Zhongxiu from Linzi District, Zibo City was arrested on July 28, 2009 while she was resting at home. She is currently held at the Zibo City Public Security Bureau.
17. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Jiqing and Mr. Cheng Zongshu Arrested
On August 4, 2009, Mr. Liu Jiqing and Mr. Cheng Zongshu from Macheng City were arrested while they were clarifying the truth in Yantianhe County. They are currently held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Macheng City.
18. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Wenru and Ms. Liu Shuhua Detained at the Harbin City Detention Center
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on August 1, 2009, Ms. Liu Wenru and Ms. Liu Shuhua, residents of Daoli District, Harbin City, were clarifying the truth at Xuejia Marketplace when someone reported them, and they were arrested by officer Wang Shizhou and several other policemen from the Xinfa Police Station. Both of them were brutally beaten on the spot. Shortly after 5:00 p.m. that day, the police sent them to the Yaziquan Detention Center, where they were told that they were to be held for ten days.

19. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Shen Maotang Arrested
At approximately 4:00 p.m. on August 1, 2009, Mr. Shen Maotang was arrested by the Jinqiao Police Station in Jinan City while he was distributing truth-clarifying materials. He was sent to the Jinan City Detention Center at approximately 10:00 p.m.. At 11:30 a.m. on August 6, 2009, officers from the Gaoxin Police Branch and the Jinqiao Police Station searched Mr. Shen's home. It was reported that Mr. Shen was sent to the Zhangzhuang Detention Center on the afternoon of August 7, 2009.
