In this report, fifteen Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least eight practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Information on the Persecution of Three Practitioners
On July 30, 2009, for no apparent reason, officers from the Xinhong Police Station in the Chenghua District of Chengdu City unlawfully stopped and searched Ms. Liao Jinrong, Ms. Chu Mengyun, and Ms. Liu Sufen, who were just walking down the road, and subsequently ransacked their homes. Worse yet, the police caused the fracture of Ms. Liao Jinrong's finger. Ms. Liao is in her seventies. The police found nothing that they wanted in their homes and due to protest from their families, had to release them.
2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Fengying Taken to the Changli Brainwashing Center
On July 19, 2009, Ms. Yang Fengying, 64, from Funing County, Qinhuangdao City, was reported while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong at Liangdu Gate in Funing County and was later arrested. She was illegally detained at the Changli Brainwashing Center.
3. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] The Couple Ms. Li Lixia and Mr. Zhang Feng Arrested and Detained in Detention Center
Around July 19, 2009, married couple Ms. Li Lixia and Mr. Zhang Feng from Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City, were arrested by the officers from the Zhenyuan County Police Department. The person in charge was Captain Gou Guangchan, head of Zhenyuan County's 610 Office. The couple is being detained at the Zhenyuan County Detention Center. Before the arrests, Gou Guangchan collaborated with officers from the Miaoqu Village Police Station in Zhenyuan County to ransack the couple's house and stole their personal belongings, including computers, a television, and several thousand yuan in cash.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Ms. Liu Xiuying and Ms. Wang Xia
Ms. Liu Xiuying and Ms. Wang Xia from the Lushunkou District in Dalian City were arrested by officers from the Dengfeng Street Police Station of the Lushunkou Police Branch, captained by Zhang Henghai. The police subsequently ransacked their homes. After being held at the detention center for almost half a month, these two practitioners were sent to the Fushun City Brainwashing Center on August 3, 2009.

5. [Chibi City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Around 9:00 a.m. on August 2, 2009, Mr. Huang Junliang, Ms. Yang Zhenhuan (Mr. Zhong Shoubang's aunt), and Mr. Chen Caiwang went to Shayang Forced Labor Camp in Hubei Province to call for the release of Mr. Zhong Shoubang, a practitioner that has been tortured almost to death. However, they were reported to the police by the labor camp and later were themselves arrested. Currently, they are being held at the local police station.
6. [Shanghai] Mr. Lao Xiaoming Arrested
Mr. Lao Xiaoming from the Yangpu District, Shanghai, was arrested on July 31, 2009, just for clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. He is now being detained at the Yangpu Detention Center.
7. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Chunxia Detained
Ms. Yang Chunxia from Songjianghe Town, Fusong County, Baishan City, was reported while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. She was arrested on July 17, 2009, by officers from the local police branch. She is being detained at the Fusong County Forced Labor Camp.
8. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Ms. Wang Meiju
Around 1:00 p.m. on July 28, 2009, Ms. Wang Meiju from Xialinzhuang Village, Qishan Town, Zhaoyuan City, was reported for posting truth-clarifying materials on her way to a relative's home. She was later arrested by officers with the Qishan Town Police Station in Zhaoyuan City. The police ransacked her home several times and stole Falun Gong books, photographs of Master Li, two DVD players, and other tools for making truth-clarification materials. Although her family went to the police station to call for her release many times, the police refused and now refuse to let them visit her.

9. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. Zhang Jianhua Sentenced to Three Years in Prison by the Gulou District Court

On July 26, 2009, Ms. Li Xiulan, an elderly practitioner, was arrested from her home and taken to the Harbin City Brainwashing Center to be persecuted by six to seven officers from the Fendou Road Agency. On July 28, she was released after her children strongly protested.
11. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Lihui and Her Husband, Mr. Wu Liming, Missing
Married couple Ms. Zhang Lihui and Mr. Wu Liming from Changsha City went outside at around 6:00 a.m. on August 1, 2009. They subsequently disappeared and haven't been seen since.
12. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zheng Jianjia and Ms. Wang Sujuan Arrested and Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Zheng Jianjia, 56, from the Hedong District in Linyi City was arrested and detained in the forced labor camp many times. On July 16, 2009, he and Ms. Wang Sujuan (53 years old) were reported while they were clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. They were arrested by Wang Xiaoyou and other officers from the Dongxing Road Police Station in Hedong District. Their homes were also ransacked. The police went to the college that Ms. Wang Sujuan's daughter attends, threatened her, and interrogated her for several hours.
The police sent Mr. Wang Jianjun to the Zibo City No.1 Forced Labor Camp and sentenced him to one year and six months without notifying any of his relatives. His relatives wanted to send him some fresh clothes, but they were not allowed to. Ms. Wang Sujuan was sent to the Linyi City Detention Center and then transferred to the Jinan City Women's Forced Labor Camp two days later. The labor camp refused to accept her due to her health issues. However, officers from the Hedong District still refused to release her. Instead, they sent her to Tangtou Hospital to be "treated" against her will and later sent her to the Jinan City Women's Forced Labor Camp again.
13. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Aizhi Arrested and Home Ransacked
On the morning of August 2, 2009, officers from the Zhuqiao Town Police Station in Laizhou City raided and ransacked Ms. Lu Aizhi's home, stealing her personal belongings, including Falun Gong books and photographs of Master Li. They also arrested her.
14. [Sichuan Province] Mr. Wan Wu Sentenced to One Year in Prison
Mr. Wan Wu from the Meishan Auto Factory was sentenced to one year of forced labor and detained in Nanshanshi Forced Labor Camp.
15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Wenbin Arrested
Mr. Liu Wenbin lives in the Paoya Fourth Section in the Ganjingzi District of Dalian City. Around 3:00 p.m. on July 20, 2009, when his daughter was at home by herself, a man and a woman tricked their way into his home by lying, claiming that they wanted to check residency cards. They ransacked his home and took some photos of the calendar on the wall that had been made by Dafa practitioners. That evening, officers from the local police station broke into Mr. Liu's home. He was arrested and taken to the Yaojia Detention Center.
