(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China relates to incidents of persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners that took place in 24 cities,14 provinces. In this report, 29 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 34 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Mujun Arrested Again Only Three Months After Release
At 5:50 a.m. on June 18, 2009, Ms. Zhao Mujun from Hegang City was reported to officials by a taxi driver, and subsequently arrested by Tuanjie Road Policemen. She was forcefully handcuffed, which resulted in bruising. That same day, she was transferred to the No. 2 Hegang City Detention Center.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Ping Arrested
On the afternoon of July 15, Ms. Li Ping, a 47-year-old practitioner from Nangang District of Harbin City, was reported to officials from the No. 2 Camp of Harbin Industry University, and then arrested by police officers from the Xianfeng Police Station. The police also ransacked her home. Currently, she is detained in the Xianfeng Police Station.

3. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Yunju Arrested
On July 15, 2009, officials from the Pingdu 610 Office, Guxian Town Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the local police station searched and confiscated belongings from local practitioners' homes. Mr. Liu Yunju was arrested.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Suqin Suffering from Emotional Trauma Due to Persecution
Ms. Zhao Suqin, 47 years old, was transferred from Beijing to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Prior to the 13th of May, 2009 (World Falun Dafa Day) she was brutally beaten by warden Zhang Chunguang because she refused to wear a prisoner ID card. Due to this torture, she became mentally unstable. Currently, she is in a hospital and is monitored by two guards.
Ms. Xin Suhua, a 59-year-old practitioner from Benxu City, has been arrested several times. As a result of all the torture she received, her hands and legs are disabled. On the morning of June 14, 2009, warden Sun Bin and several guards administered a brutal beating; they pulled her hair, and used the heals of her shoes to strike her face, causing severe injuries.
5. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Mr. Tang Jingli Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Tang Jingli, from Liuhe County, was arrested and taken to a Forced Labor Camp to serve a one-year term. Currently, he is detained at the Jiutai City Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province.
Ms. Sun Peiying, from Beilazi Village, was released and sent home; however, she is receives continual, illegal harassment from local police.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Mr. Chen Kexiu and His Wife Ms. Mao Yuzhen
On the evening of July 5, Mr. Chen Kexiu and his wife Ms. Mao Yuzhen were arrested by officials from the Dalian Domestic Security Division and Sha Hekou Police Station. Ms. Mao Yuzhen was taken to the Luotaizhan Brainwashing Center in Fushun City. Mr. Chen Kexiu is currently being held in the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.
7. [Dalian City Liaoning Province] Ms. Geng Yufeng Taken to the Yaojia Detention Center
On June 9, Ms. Geng Yufeng, from Zhongshan District in Dalian City, was arrested by officials from the Puliandianjiahe Police Station. Subsequently, she was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center and was beaten.
In August of 2007, a police officer from the Police Station of Zhongshan District broke into Ms. Geng Yufeng's home on several occasions, attempting to arrest her.
8. [Potou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Qi Wenchao Secretly Sentenced to a 12-Year Prison Term
Mr. Qi Wenchao, born on June 18, 1968, lived in No. 445 Dawangmiao Village of Cangzhou District in Potou City of Hebei Province. He was working at the Match Company in Potou City.
On May 11, 2008, Mr. Qi Wenchao was arrested by police officer Zhao Dongsheng and several additional policemen from the Domestic Security Division and 610 Office. Since that time, Mr. Qi Wenchao's whereabouts were unknown until recently, when he sent a letter home, indicating that he had been secretly sentenced to 12 years in prison. On August 16, 2003, he was taken to the No. 4 Prison Ward of No. 4 District in Northern Shijiazhuang City of Hebei Province.
9. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Elderly Practitioner Arrested
On July 11, 2009, while "clarifying the truth", an elderly practitioner surnamed Li was arrested by a police officer from the Tanhu Police Station. On July 13, policemen took the practitioner to a detention center where she was held for 15 days, and threatened to send her to the Forced Labor Camp.
10. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Mr. Xian Chunwei
On June 5, Mr. Xian Chunwei, from Zhuanghan Village of Mihe Town in Qingzhou City, was arrested by police officers from the Qingzhou Road Police Station. He was taken to the Qingzhou Legal System Training Center and detained for over a month, then sentenced to one year in the Forced Labor Camp. Currently, he is detained in the Zhangqiumingshui Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City. (This the third time he was taken to the Forced Labor Camp). His elderly parents are now unattended at home.

11. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Tracking Report on the Arrest of Ms. Liu Haiwan
Ms. Liu Haiyan has been held in the Zhangjiagou Detention Center in Longkou since she was arrested on May 25. She was sentenced to 2 years in the Forced Labor Camp. However, Forced Labor Camp officials refused to admit her, due to her poor health condition. Subsequently, she was returned to the Zhangjiahou Detention Center.
During this period, her father, who is over 70 years old, tried to visit her, but was rejected by the Detention Center officials.

12. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuzheng Arrested
On June 24, 2009, Ms. Wang Shuzheng was arrested by Renqiu Domestic Security Division police officers while posting {truth-clarification}} materials, and taken to the Renqiu Detention Center. Ms. Wang's husband went to meet with Kong Fanmao, head of the Domestic Security Division to request his wife release. Mr. Kong refused to comply, and attempted to extort a "deposit" before releasing her. On July 2, her husband went the Detention Center and Domestic Security Division again; Long Fanmao informed him that she was taken to the Gaoyang Detention Center.

13. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Feng Zhongshi and Three Additional Practitioners Taken to the Zhijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp
Three practitioners: Ms. Feng Zhongshi, from Nianye Town in Shahe City, Ms. Hou Aijun, from Xijiujia Town, and Mr. Wang Shunchao, from Zhuzhuang Town were arrested and held in the Xingtai Brainwashing Center. Later, they were taken to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.

14. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Ling and Several Practitioners Sentenced in Secret
On July 9, 2008, practitioners Ms. Wang Ling, Ms. Bai Guiling, Mr. Xu Xieqia, Ms. Yang Xiangfang, Ms. Du Dongmei and several others were arrested in their homes by local police officers, and are currently detained in the No. 2 Zhengzhou Detention Center.
During the first half of 2009, they were sentenced in secret by officials from the 610 Office of the 27 District and local Court. Ms. Yang Xiangfang was sentenced to four and half years in prison; Ms. Wang Ling was sentenced to five years in prison. Later, Ms. Yang Xiangfang and Ms. Wang Ling were taken to the Xinxiang Women's Prison for further persecution. The other practitioners are appealing their arrest.

On July 15, 2009, Mr. Yan Jinghua was arrested by police officers while distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 DVDs. Currently Mr. Yan is detained in the Pingan Road Police Station.
17. [Shandong Province] Ms. Zhan Lihua Tortured at the Jinan No. 1 Women's Detention Center
Ms. Zhan Lihua has been previously arrested, and now detained for the third time in the Jinan No. 1 Women's Detention Center. During this period, Ms. Zhan was forced to stand day and night for 7 days by several guards, including Niu Xuelian. Due to this persecution, Ms. Zhan Lihua' s feet are badly swollen, and she is unable to wear shoes.
Guard Yan Chuanfang wiped Ms. Zhan Lihua's eyes with a medication used to treat mosquito bites. This medication contains menthol and is extremely irritating when applied to the eyes. The guard also used tape to stick her eyelids to her forehead, to prevent her from closing her eyes. She was not allowed to wash for 17 days. Yan Chuanfang also forced her to sit on the floor, tied her arms to a chair, and didn't allow her to use the toilet for two days, causing her to urinate in her pants. Guards Niu Xuelian and Sun Xiufeng also used tape to cover her mouth until she passed out.
18. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Break-in at Ms. Liu Changjing's Home
In March, 2009, Zhi Zenghao, the CCP secretary of Shanggu Village in Duozhuang Town of Meyin County, along with police officers from the Duozhuang Police Station, broke into Ms. Liu Changjing's house and ransacked her home.
19. [Tianjin City] Ms. Chen Liying Taken to the Banjiao Detention Center
Ms. Chen Liying, from Beichen District in Tianjin City, was reported to authorities while clarifying the truth in the Hongqiao District. She was arrested and sentenced to one year and three months at the Forced Labor Camp by the Hangqiao Police Station.
20. [Shandong Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Ms. Dong Guozhen and Mr. Zhao Ru
Ms. Dong Guozhen, currently held in the No. 2 Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province, was forced to sit still on a small stool, and sustained heavy bruising on her eyes after being beaten.
Mr. Zhao Ru, from Wudi County in Binzhou City, is disabled. In 2009 he was taken to the No. 2 Forced Labor Camp, and soon after, he could not walk due to the torture. His family was not allowed to visit him.
21. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wen Huiling Arrested
At approximately 3 p.m. on July 15, 2009, Ms. Wen Huiling, from Kanggezhuang Village of Xindianzi Town in Zunhua City, was reported and arrested by police officers from the Zunhua Domestic Security Division and Xindianzi Police Station, while distributing truth-clarifying materials. A police officer confiscated her computer. Currently, she is held in the Zunhua Brainwashing Center for further persecution.
22. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Youxia's Home Ransacked
On June 7, 2009, Ms. Wang Youxia, from Dongtugou Village of Huangshanpu Town in Linshui County of Linyi City, was arrested by Duan Fagang, village CCP officials from the Linshui Domestic Security Division and local Town CCP officials. They also ransacked her home.

On the morning of July 16, Ms. Wang Yajun and another female practitioner were arrested by police officers from the Nanmenwai Police Station, while clarifying the truth in the Qianfeng District of Laingfang City. Policemen also ransacked their homes.
25. [Tianjin City] Ms. Pan Huimin Arrested
At approximately 1 p.m. on July 15, 2009, Ms. Pan Huimin was reported to authorities while distributing truth clarification materials. Later, she was arrested and is currently detained in the Xiqing Police Station.
26. [Pingdu City, Shandong province] Ms. Zhang Shufang Arrested
On July 13, officials from the Pingdu 610 Office and police officers from the Jiudian Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Shufang, who lived in the Liujiazhang Village in Jiudian Town. Ms. Zhang Shufang's home was ransacked at the same time. Policemen confiscated her personal property, including a computer, printer and a satellite dish. Currently, her whereabouts is unknown.
27. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhen Jianjia and Ms. Wang Sujian Arrested
On July 16, 2009, Mr. Zhen Jianjia and Ms. Wang Sujuan, from Hedong District in Linyi City, were arrested by officers from the Dongxin Road Police Station while clarifying the truth in the nearby Hedong District of Jiuqu Town. Currently, they are being held in the Dongxin Road Police Station.
28. [Beijing City] Ms. Xu Wei Missing
At approximately 10:20 a.m. on July 16, Ms. Xu Wei was composing a paper in her home, when police officers from the Majiabao Police Station pounded loudly on Ms. Xu Wei's door. Ms. Xu Wei did not open the door. Several minutes later, police officers broke in, and started an illegal search, breaking some of Ms. Xi Wei's furniture in the process. Afterwards, her friends were unable to contact her.
Ms. Ms. Xu Wei, a 43 year-old, was born in Beijing, and employed at the Xu Beihong's Carved Stone Art Museum. Since 1999, she has been persecuted on several occasions for safeguarding Dafa.

29. [Anhui Province] Practitioners Persecuted at the Brainwashing Center Administered by the 610 Office
Practitioners Ms. Wu Xiangping, Ms. Qian Juanlan, Mr, Shen Zongshanm, Zhou and several others from Anqing City, have been arrested and detained for over a month. Ms. Wu Xiangping was sentenced to one year and one month in the Forced Labor Camp, while the others were sentenced to one year in the Forced Labor Camp. On July 5, the Anqing 610 Office administered a brainwashing center at Jingtai Hotel in Anqing City and continues to persecute the practitioners.
30. [Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Jinyan Arrested
On the morning of July 15, 2009, Ms. Yang Jinyan, from Zhongshan City was arrested by police officers while she was standing outside her home. Policemen forced their way inside as her husband was trying to leave. The officers searched their home, pushed her husband and took photographs. After ransacking their home, policemen did not provide any legal search documents. The officers took forged evidence, and tried to force her husband to sign an illegal confession.
31. [Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Chen Sigui
On July 14, over ten police officers from the Xiaolanjucheng Police Station and Shundeyunan Police Station in Zhongshan City broke into the home of Ms. Chen Sigui's daughter. They confiscated some Dafa books, Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 DVDs, a computer, an MP4 player and arrested Ms. Chen.
Later, five police officers from the Xiaolan Police Station and Tanzhou Police Station in Zhongshan City went to search Ms. Chen Sigui's home, where they confiscated more Dafa books. Currently, Ms. Chen Sigui is missing.
32. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Yanxiao Arrested
At approximately 5 p.m. on July 14, 2009, Ms. Liu Yanxiao, from Huanxi Village of Dongpu Town in Tianhe District of Guangzhou City, was arrested at her home. Currently, she is detained in the Dongpu Qianjing Police Station.
33. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. Zhang Jianhua Facing Illegal Trial
On the afternoon of July 14, the Gulou District Court in Fuzhou City held an illegal trial for Mr. Zhang Jianhua, without notifying his family or attorney. A decision by the court is possible within 10 days.

34. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Mr. Fei Jinguo Arrested
At approximately 11 a.m. on July 15, 2009, officers from the Domestic Security Division in Huangmei County, and policemen the Xiaochi Police Station including Jie Xinqiao, the Town CCP committee secretary broke into Mr. Fei Jinguo's home. The officials falsely claimed that illegal birth control was used, in order to trap Mr. Fei Jinguo's family to lead them to Mr. Fei's location. They arrested him and conducted an illegal interrogation at the Xiaochi Police Station. Currently, his whereabouts is unknown.
35. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Huang Youjun Tortured by Officials Attempting to Extort a Confession
On June 7, 2009, Mr. Huang Youjun, 37 years old, from team No. 9 of Tuanbai Village at Shanhu Town in Junshan District of Yueyang City, was arrested by several police officers, including Shen Wenxin from The Junshan Domestic Security Division in Yueyang City. Mr. Huang Youjun was held at the Xiaozhao hotel of Yueyang and tortured by police officer Cai Dechun and others as they attempted to extort a confession. Mr. Huang Youjun was hung in the air by handcuffs for 4 days, beaten, especially around his heart.
When the officials failed to extort the confession using torture, Mr. Huang was held in the No. 1 Yueyang Detention Center for further persecution. He was handcuffed behind his back for 3 days, beaten and not allowed to sleep for days. At this time, he is extremely weak, and can barely walk due to the torture.

Ms. Yin Shizhen, 56 years old, is a teacher at the Yingkouyinzhu Kindergarten. At 10 p.m. on June 16, 2009, she was arrested by police officers from the Yingkou Police Station, and now confined in a mental hospital for further persecution.
