(Clearwisdom.net) In our village there is a Fa study group that consists of two families. Since 2000, they have been clarifying the truth by posting banners and distributing flyers to tell people the truth about Falun Gong. They frequently cover more than 20 countryside areas of their town and have helped many sentient beings to become aware of the truth. One day, I shared my understanding on distributing truth-clarifying materials to save sentient beings with the group and composed this article.
Let me begin with fellow practitioner Pingping's family. There are five members in Pingping's family, including Pingping, her husband, two sons, and one daughter, who have all read "Zhuan Falun". Pingping's family members all understand and support her cultivation. Pingping mentioned that, before she started to practice Falun Gong, she went to a TV repair shop and happened to watch a movie on Sakyamuni's story. She stood there and watched it until it ended. She especially loved that kind of pure, tranquil cultivation. In the beginning of 1996, she went to her elder brother's home and noticed a book titled "Falun Gong (modified version)"on a table. She opened it and saw something about cultivation, so she wanted to read it and took it with her.
Pingping said that after the persecution started in 1999, she did not change her mind about practicing Falun Gong. Since 2000, she and a fellow practitioner's daughter, Xiaoyan, who was 14 years old at the time, went to post Falun Gong banners and distribute truth-clarification leaflets. They both wore leather jackets and men's hats, and finished distributing the media in seven or eight villages in one night. Later Xiaoyan was quite tired and said, "I really cannot walk." Even Pingping could not go to work the next day. The people in those seven or eight villages all talked about Falun Gong after they saw the posters and leaflets. Someone said, "There were two men in leather jackets that posted the banners and distributed the materials all night long."
Pingping told me that there were quite a few times that they were in danger while doing such things to clarify the truth at night, but they avoided all problems with Teacher's protection. One night in 2005, she, her son, and another practitioner posted banners onto poles and hung others on the electric wires. While trying to throw a banner over one of the wires, the banner fell into a ditch. Her son wanted to retrieve it, and Pingping let him go. However, a long time passed, and the boy still did not appear. It was quite dark, and after yelling his name, there was no answer. Pingping was so worried that her clothes were soaked with sweat. After some time, the boy appeared from a different location. He told her that when he dropped down into the ditch, it was so deep that he could not climb back up, so he had to walk to the other end to get out. The boy had walked alone in the deep ditch without fear!
On another occasion, Pingping went alone to do truth-clarification work. That night, the moon did not appear, and it was extremely dark. She was walking along one stretch of road when a car suddenly appeared, the car's headlights illuminating where she was. She automatically stopped and discovered a deep water well just in front of her. If she had made one more step, she would have fallen into it! At this critical moment, Pingping knew it was compassionate Teacher who had arranged for the car to light up the road and help her to avoid the danger.
Pingping mentioned that sometimes people interfered with their distributing materials at night. Once, she and fellow practitioner Cuicui went to a village to distribute leaflets. While she was walking toward a family's front door, a man suddenly yelled, "Who's that?" Pingping did not pay any attention to him and continued distributing the leaflets with Cuicui. The man left, but returned with a powerful electric torch, grabbed Pingping's bag, and said "What are you doing here? Let's go to the administration office." Pingping calmly took out a booklet with "May the Gods Grant You Great Fortune" on the cover, showed it to the man, and said, "We come to offer you great fortune." Pingping and Cuicui then shared the true facts on Falun Gong with him. Finally the man understood and kindly asked them to resume distributing their materials.
Cuicui told me that she began practicing Falun Gong in 1997, when she was doing some temporary work in Beijing. Her husband injured his foot while riding a bicycle, but after she taught him to practice Falun Gong, his injury healed quickly. Her daughter, Xiaoyan, became a practitioner when she was in middle school, but was she persecuted and illegally taken to a forced labor camp.
Regarding the nighttime truth-clarification activities, Cuicui said that both she and Pingping could not ride bicycles, so they went everywhere on foot. Think about what a hardship this was! They each carried a big bag filled with media on their backs, holding a few bottles of glue in their hands, posting banners on every pole, and distributing materials to every family, one after another. They often walked over 20 miles a night to cover several villages. At first, they were not in very good condition, and once they arrived in a village, they were afraid that they would be confronted by people or chased by dogs. Their feet were always blistered. Now things are better, and they are less afraid. They stick the banners in the best locations, put the materials in a nice place, then leave.
Once, Cuicui approached someone's door in the dark and prepared to post some materials, when a big, angry dog rushed at her. She was quite stunned, and broke into a cold sweat. Fortunately, the dog was restrained by a big chain and stopped one foot in front of her. Another night, Cuicui went alone to a village to distribute materials. As she was passing near a cliff, she suddenly heard a strange sound coming from below, and several owls flew up. She was scared to death and could not breathe for awhile. She recited the Fa-rectification verses until she got to the village and walked to a bright place. Later, she found out that this was a mourning hall (a place to keep the dead or a place prepared for a dead person) that had frightened her so much that her hair stood on end. Cuicui enlightened, "I was timid since I was very young and never dared to leave home at night. Those events helped train me and enhanced my courage, and they also tested my determination to Dafa and Teacher through interference and hardship."
Cuicui said that she and Pingping took some time to break through the obstacle of explaining the facts face to face. Teacher arranged for some fellow practitioners from other county towns to show them how it was done. At first when the practitioners spoke, Cuicui and Pingping sent forth righteous thoughts at their side. They observed that the practitioners spoke calmly and with dignity, so they became more and more confident and could even supplement some points that the practitioners hadn't mentioned. They wrote down the names of all those who agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. All the practitioners cooperated well and formed a single entity. As local residents, they also have useful connections, such as relatives and friends in those villages that could help to resolve any interference or trouble.
Cuicui also said that, due to their regular distribution of truth-clarification materials and explaining the facts, most people in the area already understand Falun Gong and practitioners. Often, the way that sentient beings evaluate Dafa depends on how and what Dafa practitioners do. Usually, these two practitioners put forth their efforts into their homes and local areas, and never waste time with activities like gambling. They do not compete for food and clothing, and they do not lose their tempers or fight with anyone. The people in their village are able to see for themselves how practitioners behave. Not only that, their children perform very well and were accepted into colleges, treat people politely, never make trouble, and also do not compete with others for food and clothing. Everyone who knows them speaks highly of them. Even the party secretary of our village commented, "The Falun Gong practitioners are of great quality--their children are taught excellently! "
Later I asked them, "You both continue to distribute truth-clarification materials and save sentient beings day after day, year after year. Certainly you have suffered a great amount of hardships. What motivates you?" Pingping replied that, one time when she was on her way to a county town, she got on the bus and turned around, taking a calm look at everyone. Suddenly, she felt extreme grief: "If - if we do not hurry up to save those sentient beings in the area, how they will face the future?"
We chatted past 11:00 p.m., then studied the new lecture "Again Wishing a Complete Success to the European Fa Conference," read an article in "Minghui Weekly" on a practitioner's insight into Teacher's new lecture from, and shared our understandings. After sending forth righteous thoughts, we kept talking till 2:00 a.m.
When Cuicui's husband returned home after his night shift work, we were finished doing the practice. He told me a few stories of his experiences in which Teacher always takes care of him. I'll share one. He was holding a machine to drill a hole into a big rock inside a cave. For no reason, he suddenly looked up and saw a large boulder falling down. He shouted ,"Run!" and immediately ran away. He moved only two steps, and the boulder hit the exact spot where he had just been. "It is our compassionate Teacher who protected me. Why else would I have looked up?"
The time went by so quickly--it was already past 7:00 a.m., and I had to leave the village, although all the practitioners asked me to stay another day. Cuicui's husband took me to the bus station on his motorcycle. I said to him, "Do study the Fa more and cherish the opportunity!"
As the bus left, I looked back at this place and said to myself in silence "All sentient beings here, you really should cherish the efforts that the practitioners have made for you! Hurry up and understand the truth. Then you will be saved when the future, inexorable doom comes!"
