Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Four cases karmic retribution in Changsha County of Hunan Province
1. Zhang Chenghua was the Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary of the Public Security Bureau in Changsha, active in persecuting Dafa practitioners. He is over 50 years old and suffered a stroke in 2005. He is still attempting to recover from this illness today.
2. He Dan, male, age over 40, was the Deputy Director of Changsha Detention Center. He was very active in persecuting Dafa practitioners. On July 2, 2003 he was electrocuted while out on a fishing trip.
3. Xu Shengguang, male, about 30, was a police officer at Jiangbei Police Station of Changsha County. He was active in persecuting Dafa practitioners. He died in a car accident on May 25, 2006.
4. Chen Jingming was the Chief of the Tiaoma Police Station in Changsha County. He was active in persecuting Dafa practitioners, working closely with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In 2002 he was accidentally electrocuted.
Two cases of karmic retribution in Xiushui County of Jiangxi Province
1. Liu Jinqing was the Political Director of Sandou Police Station in Xiushui County of Jiangxi Province. He was very active in persecuting Dafa practitioners and died of lung cancer in 2008.
2. Wang Xuemo was a police officer of the Sandou Police Station in Xiushui County of Jiangxi Province. He worked with Liu in persecuting Dafa practitioners and was diagnosed with throat cancer. Now he is unable to speak.
One case of karmic retribution in Hebei Province
Mr. Liang Duo was a staff member of the Daying Police Station in Xiong County of Hebei. He harbored hatred against Dafa and used to destroy Dafa truth-clarifying materials. He also helped officers to persecute Dafa practitioners directly. In 2007, he died in a car accident.
Two cases of karmic retribution in Tangyuan County of Heilongjiang Province
1. Song Zhaofa was the Chief of the Xianglannongchang Public Security Bureau in Tangyuan County of Heilongjiang Province. He aggressively persecuted Dafa practitioners and sent two practitioners to forced labor camp. One of the practitioners died shortly after his return from that labor camp. Song applied pressure to practitioners by getting them fired from their jobs. When he detained practitioners, he would ask their family members to pay for food for them. He died in February of 2009 from brain cancer. He was only in his forties.
2. Sun Weimin was the Political Instructor at Xianglannongchang Public Security Bureau in Tangyuan County of Heilongjiang Province. He assisted Song in persecuting Dafa practitioners. He died a few years ago of an unknown illness. He was also in his forties.
