(Clearwisdom.net) On May 2, 2001, the Qinggong Police Station of Shenyang City arrested Cao Guangfu's family of three. They also confiscated a computer, a printer, three large copiers and two small copiers. Those who ransacked Cao's home include police chief Chen, policemen Wu and Fan, Liu Qing and Liu Bo from Tiexi Police Station, and others. They brutally tortured Cao's family of three. Cao Yang and his father were hung up and beaten, and shocked with electric batons. One of the policemen said, "If they are tortured to death, we'll just say they committed suicide."
Cao Yang was detained in the Tiexi Detention Center for more than a year. He was sentenced to seven years in prison in July 2002. He was sent to the Liaoyang Dengta Huazi Prison, during which time he was also detained in Dabei Prison for more than two months. Cao Yang was put in a solitary confinement cell for over six months because he showed Master's lectures to other practitioners. He was detained in a one-square-meter cell for three months, handcuffed and shackled. An additional three years in prison was added on, and he was transferred to the Dalian Nanguanling Prison in November 2007, where he has been held ever since.
In early July 2009, Dalian Prison authorities called Cao's family to send him clothing for his release. His family sent him clothes, but he was not released in July. Then he was supposed to be released in August, but that did not happen either. After that, it was said that he would be released in November. When his parents went to visit him in October, the prison personnel told them that they would release him in December. Now it's almost the end of December and Cao Yang has still not been released. When his family called, they were told that everything has been postponed.
