A Village Clerk Who Knows the Truth

This afternoon I had a chat with an elderly man who was the village Committee Deputy Clerk for 23 years. He said, "An old person like me has seen everything. I was hungry during the three years of 'famine.' When I was 16, I started teaching at county Middle School No. 1. I taught there for a little over a year. Then, in 1962, I was sent to the countryside to teach. During the Cultural Revolution, a mob paraded me down the street and publicly humiliated me. I was beaten, and many others were beaten to death. There was a battle in our county between the militia from the military division and the military personnel from the airport division. Many were killed by machine gun fire, and they died for nothing. Those were the reckless deeds committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that I have seen in my lifetime. I was the village Committee Deputy Clerk from 1980 to 2003, and I completely understand the true nature of the CCP."

The old man also said, "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party thoroughly explains what the CCP is really like. The person who wrote it is not an ordinary person--everything written there is factual. This book reveals the true nature of the CCP from top to bottom." He held up his thumb and said, "Good book!"

The old man went on to say, "Think about the beliefs of Falun Gong: no stealing, no taking other peoples' belongings. There were people in my village who were unkind to their in-laws, but after practicing Falun Gong, they changed, they became good people, and their relationships with their neighbors became harmonious. A few years ago, our village had to give the government a large amount of grain. Many people did not want to give up their grain, and village officials had to go from house to house searching for it. When they got to a household of Falun Gong practitioners, the practitioners handed over their grain immediately, no questions asked. If everyone in our village practiced Falun Gong, the job of a village official would be much easier. This time, the CCP's campaign of persecution of a group [Falun Gong] is a complete failure!"
