(Clearwisdom.net) My mother was an elementary school teacher before she retired. She had been highly poisoned by the CCP propaganda and didn't understand Falun Dafa. Besides being frightened by the CCP, she was a deeply-rooted atheist. She always told others proudly, "I don't believe in anything."
Earlier this year I gave her a Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD, but she didn't watch it because she did not have a DVD player. I bought her a DVD player and told her that this show was different from ordinary entertainment. I let her know that not only were the programs very good, but that some people were healed of their illnesses after they watched it. From her expression, I could tell that she was having doubts about what I had said. She just couldn't believe that a little disc could have such an effect, but out of curiosity, she agreed to watch the show.
My mother has been tormented by illnesses for half of her life and constantly sought out medical advice and medicine. Mother waited patiently for me to set up the machine and sat down to watch it with me. As she watched, I could see her facial expression becoming cheerful and she was more focused than she had been earlier. She said that the show displayed a really elegant art form and that it was much better and more beautiful than any of the programs on TV. Mother felt that the show left people feeling quite well. She said she would watch it again.
A few days later, mother called. Her tone was peaceful, yet excited. She said that after watching the Shen Yun Performing Arts show that morning, she had encountered several miracles! Usually, my mother experienced difficulty swallowing while attempting to eat dried dates. That day, however, she was eating dates as she watched Shen Yun and unknowingly, she swallowed the dates without any problems. In addition, her legs and feet were not strong or agile because previously she fell and hurt her legs while taking a bath. It has been arduous work for her when she needs to get something from the kitchen cabinet. However, while watching Shen Yun she had no difficulty getting what she needed from the cabinet. She felt a force she did not understand pushing her so that she could easily stand on a bench and get the thing she wanted. The whole process took her only a few minutes. She stood there in a daze. Then she became excited. This was an unbelievable miracle!
Over the next few days, mother did not feel tired no matter what she did. This kind of feeling could never have been obtained with either Chinese or Western medicine. She had forgotten the feeling of being light.
Mother watched "We Tell the Future," until late at night. She told me, choking back sobs, that she had cried at the end of the show. She saw how I had walked the path of cultivation over the past 10 years and realized the power of Dafa during tribulations. She said, "It has been hard for you all these years! Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa! Master is so great!"
A few days later, mother asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun, and began her cultivation path.
