(Clearwisdom.net) On September 19, 2009, Ms. Wang Yuxin, from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, was studying Falun Gong teachings with her husband, Mr. Sun Yufu, and over ten other practitioners. She was reported and arrested and is being held in the Jiamusi Detention Center. Her husband, Mr. Sun Yufu, was released after he passed out as a result of brutal beatings from the police officers.
Ms. Wang Yuxin, 43, is a resident of Duoduo District near the Jiamusi Meat Processing Factory. Ms. Wang started practicing Falun Gong in 1995. Before she started practicing, she suffered from Hepatitis B. She was so weak that she could not even do housework. All of her income was used to buy medicine for her treatment. She recovered from her disease and became healthy after she started practicing Falun Gong. Her family life also became more harmonious and happier. Ms. Wang and her husband treat people honestly, always consider others first and have earned the trust and praise of those around them.
On September 19, 2009, Ms. Wang Yuxin, her husband, and other practitioners were reported while they were studying Falun Gong teachings together at a practitioner's home. Ge Yanjun, a police officer from the Nangang Police Station in Jiamusi City, along with other police officers, knocked on the door and pretended to be a neighbor. The police entered the house, searched every person and their belongings, and confiscated Dafa books and other property. They then arrested all fifteen practitioners including Ms. Wang Yuxin and her husband. The practitioners were detained at the Nangang Police Station. Mr. Sun Yufu was subjected to brutal beatings by Liu Jinshan, assistant director of the Nangang Police Station. As a result of the beatings, Mr. Sun had a problem with his heart and lost consciousness. Jiamusi Police Station and Qianjin Sub-Police Station were also involved in the persecution.
Ms. Wang Yuxin and her husband both worked at the Sanjiang Food Processing Company. After losing their jobs they had no income to get by, but they were given some financial support by their relatives. Their daughter is studying in high school.
Mr. Sun Yufu is now suffering from heart problems, has palpitations and also insomnia. Because of his sickness he cannot walk down stairs. He is unable to take care of himself at home and requires his wife to look after him.
