(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 11 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 48 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shi Wei Arrested Again
On September 16, 2009, officers from the Tangjiafang Police Station in Anshan City arrested Ms. Shi Wei, a practitioner from Lishifang Village, Tangjiafang Town, Anshan City, while she was still recovering from injuries sustained during her previous imprisonment. Later, police took her to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison.
In early November 2004, police arrested Ms. Shi Wei and her husband, Mr. Wang Chunbo. Both were sentenced to ten-year prison terms. Ms. Shi was so severely tortured that she was paralyzed, so the officials sent her home. Mr. Wang is still imprisoned in the Jinzhou Nanshan Prison.

2. [Pingquan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Shuwen and Ms. Liu Yulan Arrested, Mr. Wang Jianhua Sentenced to Forced Labor
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 15, 2009, Liu Guoquan, commander of the Pingquan County Domestic Security Division, and other police officers arrested 50-year-old Mr. Wang Shuwen and his wife, 56 year-old Ms. Liu Yulan, practitioners from Dudaiyingzi Village, Qijiadai Township, Pingquan County. Officers also ransacked their home.
Several days prior, officials from Pingquan County Domestic Security Division sentenced Mr. Wang Jianhua, a practitioner from Pingquan Town, Pingquan County, to a term of forced labor.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Additional Persecution News Concerning Ms. Zhang Xiufang
Early on the morning of September 14, 2009, Guo Ennian, secretary of the community, followed 54-year-old Ms. Zhang Xiufang, then arrested her. Currently, Ms. Zhang is being detained at the Shenyang Zaohua Detention Center.
4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Yawen Arrested and Detained
On the evening of September 1, 2009, plainclothes officers from the Jinqiao Police Station in the Yantai City Development Zone followed Ms. Chen Yawen, a 63 year-old practitioner from Yantai City Development Zone, and arrested her while she was distributing truth-clarification materials. On September 2, 2009, officers from the Jinqiao Police Station conspired with officials from the Domestic Security Division and Yenzhi Community Committee to break into her home and confiscate all of her Dafa books, informational media, an MP3 player and other items. Ms. Chen is now in the No. 2 Detention Center, Yantai Development Zone.

5. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Fengzhen and Another Practitioner Arrested
On September 17, 2009, Pan Shi, Li Hongwei, and several other officers from the Liucheng Police Station, Chaoyang County, conspired with Hou Zhongren, director of the Lalatun Village Security Division, to arrest Ms. Li Fengzhen and another practitioner from Lalatun Village, Liucheng Town, Chaoyang County. The other practitioner was released and sent home.

6. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners from Wanghua District Arrested
On September 19, 2009, police arrested Mr. Fu Mingjie and his wife at home. Ms. Jin was also arrested.
7. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gao Xiuqin and Eight Other Practitioners Arrested
On September 15, 2009, officers from the Huashan Road Police Station in the Fengman District arrested Ms. Gao Xiuqin and eight other practitioners from Beijingli, Jilin City, while they were explaining the facts about Falun Dafa in the Fengman District, Jilin City. On the afternoon of September 16, officers from the Fengman District Police Bureau took them to the detention center for 15 dayst.

8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Yuxia and Ms. Yang Arrested
On the afternoon of September 17, 2009, officers from the Donghu District Police Bureau in Daqing City arrested two elderly practitioners, Ms. Zhao Yuxia and Ms. Yang, who are being held at the Daqing City No. 1 Detention Center.
9. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Xinru Arrested
On July 16, 2009, officers from the Fengtai District Police Bureau arrested Ms. Liu Xinru, a practitioner from Beijing.
10. [Ling County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Huilan and Ms. Dou Linfang Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on September 17, 2009, policemen arrested two practitioners from Ling County, Shandong Province, Ms. Liu Huilan, about 50 years old, and Ms. Dou Linfang, over 50 years old, at Ms. Dou's apartment. Officers from the Dezhou Canal Management Office took Ms. Liu back to Dezhou and held her at the Dezhou Detention Center. Zhou Jinggang and Liu Yuanhe, policemen from the Ling County Police Station took Ms. Dou to the Ling County Detention Center.
On the afternoon of September 17, policemen went to the homes of Ms. Dou Linfang and Ms. Liu Huilan and confiscated their computers, printers, Dafa books, and other items.

11. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fang Xiuzhen Arrested
On the afternoon on September 18, 2009, police arrested Ms. Fang Xiuzhen, a practitioner from Jinan City, while she was distributing the informational materials near the Darunfa Supermarket in the Center District, Jinan City. Police from the Center District then ransacked her home.
12. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Jieshan Township Police Station, Dongping County, Tai'an City, arrested Ms. Yang Guixiang, Ms. Liu Guiying, Ms. An Guiying, Ms. Zhao Ailian, and Ms. Xiuli, all practitioners from Anjiazhuang Village, Anjiazhuang Town, Feicheng, Tai'an City, while they were distributing Dafa informational media in Jieshan Township. These five practitioners have been transferred to Dongping County.

At approximately 12:00 p.m. on September 15, 2009, officers from the Chengqu Police Station arrested Mr. Xiao Zhenguo and Ms. Yang Aiqin from Shouguang City at the Hongyun Supermarket, Beiguancun, Shengcheng Street.
14. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cai Xin Arrested
On the evening of September 17, 2009, officers from the Xizhaotong Police Station arrested Ms. Cai Xin from Xitakou Village, Xizhaotong Town, Chang'an District, Shijiazhuang City. She is now imprisoned in the No. 4 Prison.
15. [Gaoyi County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Lizhao Arrested
On the evening of September 17, 2009, Wang Xianli, deputy superintendent of the Daying Township Police Station, Gaohu County, arrested Mr. Li Lizhao from Gaohu County while he was at the entrance of Houhuai'an Village, Gaohu County. Police also confiscated his motorcycle. That same evening, they took him to the Daying Village Police Station and later to the detention center.

16. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ren Guangmei Tortured
At 9:00 p.m. on June 24, 2006, officers from the Tumu Township Police Station arrested Ms. Ren Guangmei, 64, from Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, and other practitioners while they were putting up Dafa informational posters. When she resisted the arrest, they pulled on her clothes until they tore.
Later, they handcuffed Ms. Ren to a tiger bench. She explained the facts about Falun Dafa to the police, but they beat her and refused to listen. Subsequently, they went to Ms. Ren's home and ransacked it, but didn't find anything they wanted. Finally, they confiscated her recorder and extorted 6,000 yuan from her family.

17. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Zhenming Arrested
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on September 17, 2009, policemen arrested Mr. Liu Zhenming from Tai'an City while he was in the Taishan Nationalities High School. Later, they ransacked Mr. his home and confiscated his computer and other personal properties valued at over 10,000 yuan. Mr. Liu's whereabouts is unknown.
18. [Boye County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on September 17, 2009, officers from the East Town Police Station, Boye County, Baoding City ,conspired with Hu Zhiguang and several officials from the local Domestic Security Division to arrest Ms. Guo Shuhua, Ms. Dai Yanying, Ms. Dai Junran, Ms. Dai Xiaojun, Ms. Ling Qiao, Ms. Zhang Guofen, and another practitioner. Later, they confiscated the homes of these seven practitioners. Ms. Zhang Guofen managed to escape. The other practitioners are now detained in Chengguan Police Station.
19. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Guifang Arrested
On September 10, 2009, chief Wang of the Baigou Police Bureau and other officers arrested Ms. Zhang Guifang from Shengfang Town, Bazhou City, while she was going shopping in the Baigou area. The following day, they took her to the Gaobeidian Forced Labor Camp.
20. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Fengzhi Arrested
At approximately 9:00 p.m. on September 18, 2009, Li Meng, commander of Wei County Domestic Security Division, took a dozen policemen and broke into Ms. Zhang Fengzhi's home. They ransacked it and confiscated over 20 Dafa books, along with informational materials and other items. Later, they took Ms. Zhang to the Wei County Domestic Security Division.

Policemen from the Hengshui City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Xia Tongmu and Mr. Wang Pingjun from Jizhou City. The police confiscated their personal property.

On September 18, 2009, police arrested Ms. Li Yaping from Qinhuangdao City.
23. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Ruohan Arrested
On September 10, 2009, police from the Xiaoshan District Domestic Security Division, Hangzhou City, arrested Ms. Zhang Ruohan from Aohanqi, Chifeng City, who was working in Hangzhou City. Police confiscated her three computers, 6 bank cards, and all her company seals. She was taken back to Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, and detained there.

24. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Mr. Pang Liang Arrested Again; Mr. Zhao Ziyi Missing
On the afternoon of September 11, 2009, officials from the Kaifeng City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Pang Liang from the Jinming District, Kaifeng City, while he was on his way home. He is currently detained in the Tongxu County Detention Center. Mr. Pang was sentenced to three years of forced labor in 2003 and suffered severe persecution in the Henan Province No. 3 Forced Labor Camp.
On the afternoon of September 10, 2009, police arrested Mr. Zhao Ziyi from Kaifeng City while he was on his way home.

25. [Dai County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Sun Shuangwen Arrested and Persecuted On Several Occasions
Mr. Sun Shuangwe from Dai County has been arrested on several occasions because of his firm belief in Falun Dafa. He was sentenced to a seven-year prison term, and is now in Jinzhong Prison, Qi County, Shanxi Province. His wife was forced to divorce him. No one is available to take care of his 85-year-old father. Moreover, officials from the local 610 Office, police station, and township government often harassed this elderly man.

26. [Linying County, Henan Province] Mr. Niu Wenxue Sentenced to Forced Labor
Wu Huili, commander of the Linying County Domestic Security Division, officials from the local 610 Office, and the Political and Judiciary Committee arrested Mr. Niu Wenxue from Linying County, Henan Province. They ransacked his home and detained him for 15 days. Later, they took him to the No. 3 Men's Forced Labor Camp in Xuchang City, Henan Province. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor.

27. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Yanpu Arrested
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 18, 2009, police from the Hanshan District, Handan City, and the Fuyuan Police Station broke into Ms. Tian Yanpu's home and arrested her. They also confiscated her laptop, color inkjet printer, laser printer, hard disk, flash drive, Dafa books, Teacher's picture, MP3 player, cell phone, DVD recorder, DVDs, 1,000 yuan, and other items. Later, they took her to the Huomo Police Station. She was released that night, and returned home at 9:00 p.m..

28. [Duchang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wang Huosun's Home Ransacked

29. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wang Jin Sentenced to a Three-Year Prison Term
At the end of July 2009, the Futian District Court in Shenzhen City sentenced Mr. Wang Jin to a three-year prison term. He is currently in the Futian District Detention Center.
30. [Jinzhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Fu Wanhua, Ms. Li Xianmin, and Ms. Ouyang Fan Arrested
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 16, 2009, policemen from the Shashi District 610 Office and Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Fu Wanhua, about 60.
On the morning of September 16, officials from the Jinzhou District 610 Office, local Domestic Security Division, and Xicheng Police Station arrested Ms. Li Xianmin, about 50, while she was at home. Meanwhile, officials from the Shashi District 610 Office, Shashi District Domestic Security Division, and Chaoyang Police Station arrested Ms. Ouyang Fan, a 40 year-old practitioner currently employed at the Jinzhou City Wenxing School.
31. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Su Lijuan and Ms. Luo Mingxiu Arrested
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 15, 2009, police arrested Ms. Su Lijuan and Ms. Luo Mingxiu, both from Miyi County, Panzhihua City, while they were at Su Lijuan's home.
32. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Birong Arrested
On September 16, 2009, police arrested Ms. Yu Birong at her home. Ms. Yu is over 60 and lives on Menkan Street in Jingyan County, Leshan City.
33. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Ms. Liang Biyan Arrested
At the end of August 2009, police arrested Ms. Liang Biyan, who lives at No. 7, 4th Street, Xinyang Rd, Nanning City. Her whereabouts is unknown.
Ms. Liang Biyan is over 40. She had been imprisoned in the Guangxi Women's Forced Labor Camp and Guangxi Women's Prison for an extended period and cruelly tortured. Her life was frequently at risk.
34. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhao Juanjuan Arrested
On September 12, police arrested Ms. Zhao Juanjuan from the Doumen District in Zhuhai City while she was at the Jingyanniwan Market. Her whereabouts are unknown.
35. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tong Ling and Ms. Jiang Shanliang Arrested
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on September 12, 2009, officers from the Gongle Police Station, local 610 Office, and Bao'an District Police Bureau arrested Ms. Tong Ling and Ms. Jiang Shanliang, both from Xixiang Town, Bao'an District, Shenzhen City. They confiscated their two computers, printers, other equipment, Dafa books, DVDs, and materials. Later, the police took them to the Jiuwei Detention Center.
