The fact is that practitioners are still being arrested and beaten. Some have escaped using righteous thoughts, but why are some practitioners still being beaten? We wouldn't discuss this if it involved only individual cultivation, nonetheless it is not right when someone is beaten because of rectifying the Fa or saving sentient beings. It is the evil doing bad things and destroying sentient beings through the police's hands. Practitioners should not be random targets of the police. We should use our righteous thoughts and tell them not to hit practitioners. If we have very strong righteous thoughts, they won't dare to do it. If they don't listen, we can use our power and redirect their blows toward themselves, which would be saving them as well.
Many practitioners (whether beaten before or not) have become complacent, and are tolerating the police violence. Some even feel that one is doing well by tolerating the beatings and not being emotionally affected. They don't question why they were beaten by the police. These are not isolated cases and have become common occurrences: being beaten has become so common that it is expected that a person will be beaten when arrested, which is not right. We need to have righteous thoughts.
Perhaps the old forces have made their way in. The old forces may say, "Practitioners are accepting the beatings. Let us beat them harder." If we didn't have these kinds of thoughts, the old forces would not have dared to do what they have because they also need to follow the laws of the cosmos. If not in accordance with the laws, the old forces would not dare to do it. Teacher doesn't recognize the old forces, and has told us that we can use our powers when we face the evil police. The fact that we are practitioners who cultivate in Dafa entitles us to use our power. We are reinforcing our powers every day, so why don't we use them? Teacher said that one cannot have the attachment of seeking things in cultivation. One cannot seek power, but we should not go to the other extreme either. We shouldn't be afraid to use the power. Teacher has said that being afraid is also an attachment. We are assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings. It is not simply a matter of individual cultivation.
So please review Teacher's lecture about using our powers. Don't forget to use them. We are walking the path of divine beings. We should no longer be beaten.
