(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties in 13 provinces. In this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 76 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Tongying Mistreated by 610 Office Agents; In Critical Condition
According to Ms. Li Tongying's family, 610 Office agents arrested her in June 2009. She was then tortured at a brainwashing center. The torture was severe enough at the end of August to cause her to become unconscious; she necessitated emergency care at the Guangdong Institute of Medical Science Affiliated Hospital. She was diagnosed with kidney and other organ failure and is in critical condition.
2. [Huaying City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Pan Jianqun and Another Practitioner Arrested
Mr. Pan Jianqun and a middle-aged woman were arrested while telling people the facts about Falun Dafa at YangheTownship, Huaying City on October 3, 2009.

3. [Chongqin] Ms. Xu Jingling Arrested and Taken to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Xu Jingling, employed at the Dajiang Factory, Banan District, Chongqing, is in her forties. She returned to the factory from Chengdu City in August 2009. Banan District Police Department agents arrested and incarcerated her at Banan District Detention Center and then transferred her to the Chongqing Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp.
4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] More than Ten Practitioners Including Ms. Liu Lizhi Arrested Prior to October 1, 2009
More than ten practitioners from Taiyuan City, including Mr. He Wenjun, Ms. Liu Lizhi, Mr. Zhang Xi, Ms. Yan Yuhua, and Mr. Yan Yukui, were arrested. Tanyuan City 610 Office and Qinxian Police Station agents participated in the arrests on September 24 and 25, 2009.

5. [Yongzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Sujuan Arrested
Ms. Wang Sujuan from the Lingling District, Yongzhou City was arrested at 9:00 a.m. on September 23, 2009 by Zhou Yueming from the Ningyuan County 610 Office and Chen Jianwei from the Lingling District 610 Office. The persecutors confiscated her personal belongings, including a computer, printer and CDs. She is currently held at the Lingling District Detention Center.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ye Huixin Arrested in Late September and Her Home Ransacked
7. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Rong Yulan Arrested
Ms. Rong Yulan went to visit practitioner Mu's family at Wujiawa Village on the afternoon of October 4, 2009. Li Changxing and five others from the Qidaoquanzi Developing District Police Department broke into the home and arrested her. They seized belongings including a computer, printer and VCDs. Zhang Hua, District Police Department team leader, and political head Hong Guanghui took Ms. Rong and Mu to the Wujiawa Detention Center. Mu was released for failing a physical exam after being extorted out of 1,000 yuan. Ms. Rong Yulan is currently held at the Wujiawa Detention Center.

8. [Li County, Hebei Province] Twelve Practitioners Arrested
Agents from the Li County Police Department and from all of the local police stations went out to arrest practitioners at 7:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009. Led by Guo Jianmin, the police officers ransacked fourteen practitioners' houses. Two practitioners were able to escape. The following twelve practitioners were arrested and taken to the county detention center: Ms. Zhao Limei, Mr. Zhu Junqiang, Ms. Gu Xiangrui, Mr. Liu Min, Mr. Zhao Xiaochang, Ms. Zhu Lihua, Ms. Zhao Yanmei, Ms. Tian Junfang, Ms. Yan Xiaoge, Mr. Fang Wei, Ms. Rong Zhen and Mr. Zhu Yanlong.
The following nine practitioners were sent to a forced labor camp on September 26, 2009: Ms. Zhao Limei, Mr. Zhu Junqiang, Ms. Gu Xiangrui, Mr. Zhao Xiaochang, Ms. Zhu Lihua, Ms. Zhao Yanmei, Ms. Tian Junfang, Mr. Fang Wei and Ms. Rong Zhen. Mr. Zhu Junqiang, Mr. Zhao Xiaochange and Mr. Zhu Yanlong were sent to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp. The female practitioners were sent to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Yan Xiaoge, Mr. Liu Min and Ms. Zhao Yanmei were released today.
When the persecutors ransacked Mr. Zhu Junqiang's home, Domestic Security Division team leader Wang Junchang used an electric saw to cut through the metal door and arrested Mr. Zhu. They seized a security safe, which contained 20,000 yuan in cash and three deposit certificates worth about 100,000 yuan. They also confiscated a computer, printer, DVD player, CD/DVD writer and Dafa books.
When they ransacked Mr. Liu Min's house they froze two of Mr. Liu's bank accounts.
9. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guiying and One Other Practitioner Arrested
Ms. Li Guiying from Renqiu Jingxia and another practitioner from another province were arrested at Renqiu in mid-September 2009.
10. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Huang Jinfeng from the Wucheng District Persecuted
Li Min, Wucheng District 610 Office head in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, and staff member Zheng from the Qianxixiang Government Office led six police officers from the Domestic Security Division in the Wucheng Police Department to Mr. Huang Jinfeng's home. They ransacked it without showing a search warrant. The invaders took personal belongings worth 10,000 yuan, including a picture of Master Li, Dafa books, a computer, a printer, an MP4 player, hand-written Dafa books and a banner reading "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
11. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Yingdong Missing
Ms. Zhao Yingdong from Chaoyang District went missing while living near Gulou in the Dongcheng District between September 16 and September 19, 2009. We suspect she was arrested.
12. [Tianjing] Mr. Men Zhaosen Arrested
Mr. Men Zhaosen was arrested at his parents' home at 7:00 p.m. on October 5, 2009. Xianyangbeilu Police Station agents from the Hongqiao District went to the home with the excuse of needing to check the resident registration. Mr. Men was taken to Xianyangbeilu Police Station and is currently held at the Hongqiao Detention Center.

13. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yujie and Her Husband Arrested and Taken to the Henan Police Station
Henan Police Station officer Li Gen went to Ms. Wang Yujie's home under the pretense of checking the resident registration. Searching the premises, he found a book entitled New Lectures. He called the police station and arrested Ms. Wang and her husband. Police station agents broke into the home later on and confiscated a computer, a VCD player, a television set, a hard drive, a U drive, an MP3 player and Dafa books. They even interrogated the couple's child until midnight. They sent the couple to a forced labor camp for one year. Mr. Yue Dezhou was released because she failed a physical exam.

15. [Kuitun City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Seven Practitioners Including Ms. Song Lianrong Arrested
Seven practitioners including Ms. Song Lianrong from Kuitun City, the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region were arrested prior to October 1, 2009. Participating in the arrests were agents from the Beijing Road Police Station, Kuitun City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
16. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xiong Shiguang Arrested
Mr. Xiong Shiguang, in his sixties, from Meizhou City was arrested and beaten. Wuzhou Police Station agents committed the crime while Mr. Xiong was posting phrases that explained Falun Dafa and the persecution at Wuzhou Town between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on October 2, 2009. At 11:00 a.m., ten police officers accompanied Mr. Xiong to his home and ransacked it. They confiscated Dafa books, pictures of Master Li and CDs. Mr. Xiong is currently held at the Qinhuang Detention Center.

17. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Persecution of Ms. Sun Yazhen and Two Others
Seven practitioners including Ms. Sun Yazhen from Wuxi City were deceived and eventually taken to the local brainwashing center prior to October 1, 2009. Mr. Wei Hongsen from Yangzhou was arrested on September 2, 2009. Ms. Wan (Fan) Yunjuan was arrested prior to October 1. She is currently held at a detention center.
18. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xu Wei Sentenced to Eight Years of Imprisonment
Mr. Xu Wei from Jurong was illegally sentenced to eight years of imprisonment and is currently detained at the Suzhou Prison.
19. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Hailing Arrested
Mr. Wang Hailing, an accountant at Qingdao Steel Group, is 35 years old. He was arrested while telling people the truth of Dafa and the persecution at the Fushanhou Residential Area on October 2, 2009. He is currently detained at the newly-built Tongchuanlu Police Station and was beaten for defying the police.
20. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested and Home Ransacked
Three practitioners whose anonyms are Mr. Ya Ming, Mr. Ya Wan and Ms. Zou from Maoming City were arrested on September 24, 2009. The police also ransacked their homes and took large amounts of cash, computers and printers. On the same day, Ms. Zhang and Ms. Liang Shaolin were also arrested.
21. [Tianjin] Information on the Persecution of Ms. Sun Huamin
Ms. Sun Huamin, in her fifties, lives in Hexi District, Tianjin. Around September 27, 2009, Shen, secretary of Dayingmen Street, Hexi District, led four officials from the Sanyizhuang Police Station in Hexi District to unlawfully ransack Ms. Sun Huamin's home, and take away her personal belongings, including a computer and printer. Ms. Sun Huamin is currently being detained.
22. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Yongmao Dies Because of Persecution
Mr. Wang Yongmao, 54, from Heilongjiang Province worked in the Mudanjiang Agricultural Research Institute after graduation. Due to his diligently practicing Falun Dafa, the police unlawfully arrested him three times and ransacked his home. Mr. Wang Yongmao was subjected to such severe mental and physical persecution that he completely lost his eyesight and his legs were paralyzed. Mr. Wang Yongmao passed away on September 23, 2009.
23. [Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Some time ago, Mr. Weng Hongwu, Mr. Zhang Wei, Mr. Wang Chengxia and Ms. Dai Ping from Pizhou City were illegally arrested. Ms. Dai Ping was detained and persecuted at the Jurong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province. Mr. Zhang Wei was secretly sent to Hongzehu Prison and was sentenced to four and a half years of imprisonment.
24. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Luo Chengrong and Ms. Liu Hui Unlawfully Detained in the Brainwashing Center
On the evening of August 5, 2009, Ms. Luo Chengrong, an elderly practitioner from Jianghan District, Wuhan City, and Ms. Liu Hui, court clerk of the civil division of the Wuhan Intermediate Court, were arrested. They are currently unlawfully detained and persecuted in the Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center in Jianghan District.
25. [Hailun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Han Yongcai Arrested
Around 2:00 p.m. on September 9, 2009, more than ten officials from the Wenming Police Station and the Hongqi Police Station in Hailun City, led by Gao Yunfei from the local 610 Office and Xiao Ye from the security section of the Hailun Police Department, unlawfully broke into and ransacked the home of married couple Ms. Han Yongcai and Mr. Chen Feng. Because nothing was found at the couple's home, the police subsequently ransacked the house of Ms. Han's sister, who isn't a Falun Dafa practitioner. At the same time, Ms. Hui Enyan and Ms. He Ying were arrested.

26. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Lanxiu Arrested
Ms. Li Lanxiu, in her sixties, lives in Nanhai Township, Qianjiang District, Chongqing. On September 3, 2009, Huang Guanghua and another five officials from the Qianjiang Police Department broke into Ms. Li's home and forcibly arrested her, taking her to the Chongqing Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Li has been sentenced to one year of imprisonment.
Previously, Ms. Li Lanxiu had been unlawfully arrested twice. The first time was one afternoon this May. She was arrested at a fellow practitioner's home and taken to the local police station by Liu Jin and other policemen. She was released around 9:00 p.m. that night. The second time was at the end of this August. Ms. Li was arrested while she was shopping.

27. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zou Shuqin Arrested on September 24, 2009 and Home Ransacked
28. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wen Hongjun Arrested in Tianjin
Mr. Wen Hongjun from Dingxing County, Hebei Province was arrested on October 1, 2009 after being reported. He is currently held in the Ji County Detention Center in Tianjin.
29. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Married Couple Mr. Zhao Qiangjun and Ms. Xiaoling Arrested
On August 15, 2009, Li Gang, head of the 610 Office in Jiyuan City, Henan Province led several policemen to break into Mr. Zhao Qiangjun's home, arrest Mr. Zhao and his wife Ms. Xiaoling, and confiscate their computer, printer and tens of thousands of yuan in cash. The couple's two sons are still under age, and now there is no one to take care of them.
30. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Meiying Arrested and Sent to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Liu Meiying was arrested and taken by the Dalian Domestic Security Division to the Luotaishan Brainwashing Center in Fushun City.
31. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Ms. Xie Chunlan
Ms. Xie Chunlan, around 47 years old, was arrested on September 29, 2009 by officials from the Zhongshan Road Police Station. Her whereabouts are unknown.

32. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Five Practitioners Unlawfully Arrested
Around 8:00 a.m. on September 24, 2009, officials from the Zhanqian Police Station and the Dilie Neighborhood Committee in Maoming City, Guangdong Province illegally arrested Ms. Yaming, Ms. Lu Hongfei and Ms. Zou, taking their cash, printers and two motorcycles.
Around 4:00 p.m. on the same day, Ms. Zhang was arrested at home. Her son's bank deposit book was stolen by the police. There were hundreds of thousands of yuan in his account. On the same day, Ms. Liang Shaolin was arrested and her printers and other valuable personal belongings were taken by the police.
33. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xiuying Arrested

34. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three elderly practitioners, including Ms. Yu Meixiu, 64; Ms. Zhao Ronghua, 67; and Ms. Xu Xiaoxian, in her fifties, were arrested.
35. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Jiang Zhifang Unlawfully Held in the Guanghan Detention Center
Mr. Jiang Zhifang from Guanghan City, Sichuan Province was arrested on September 29, 2009 by officials from the Xigao Police Station. He was severely beaten and kicked at that time. Currently, he is unlawfully held in the Guanghan Detention Center.
36. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Donglan Arrested
Ms. Chen Donglan from Xichang City was arrested on October 1, 2009 while shopping. The police ransacked her home the next day.
