(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 32 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Zhao Qilin, in his 70s, is from Nanbu County, Nanchong City. Recently, Mr. Zhao and several other practitioners were arrested by officials with the Political and Judiciary Committee, the 610 Office, the State Security Division, and police stations in Nanbu County.

2. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Qian Shiguang Died from Abuse
Mr. Qian Shiguang was a retired senior engineer from China Petroleum Prospecting Institute. He was detained many times, sentenced to forced labor three times, and abused so badly his physical condition became critical many times. On May 27, 2005, he was arrested and his home was searched once more. After interrogation by torture in No. 26 Division of Lanzhou City Police Department, he was detained at Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center.
From September 2005 to January 2006, he was placed in a solitary confinement cell that did not have any heat. He was kept there for four months. He was handcuffed behind his back for nine days, until he developed a prolapse of the rectum. As a result, he developed incontinence of both his bowels and bladder. His arms were also injured, and he cannot grasp anything with his left hand.
In April 2006, he was beaten by Qi Ruijun, the CCP secretary at the center. In May 2007, Qi Ruijun took Mr. Qian to his office and beat him mercilessly. Mr. Qian bled from the mouth, and his body became blue and purple. After this he could only walk if he leaned on a stick.
On September 8, 2008, Mr. Qian Shiguang died as a result of abuse, even though he was taken to the Electrical Machinery Plant Hospital for emergency treatment.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shi Guifen, Ms. Liu Xia, and Ms. Guo Lihua Arrested
On September 15, 2008, officers from the Futan New Community Police Station broke into the homes of Ms. Shi Guifen, Ms. Liu Xia, and Ms. Guo Lihua and arrested them. The officers also searched their homes and seized their Dafa books, computers, and printers. The three women are detained in Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

5. [Shanghai City] Ms. Lou Xiashu Arrested
On July 22, 2008, Ms. Lou Xiashu was arrested while at home in Taicang City. Later, she was detained in Kunshan City Detention Center. She is still being held.
6. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xie Zhonghe Sentenced to Forced Labor
In late August, Mr. Xie Zhonghe, from Hongshi Forestry Bureau in Huadian City was taken back to Huadian City. Huadian City 601 Office and Jilin City 610 Office personnel arranged for him to be sentenced to one and half years of forced labor. He is now in Jiutai Forced Labor Camp.
7. [Changli County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yurong And Ms. Hu Rimei Devastated by Torture
Ms. Hu Rimei from Xiniulan Village, Anshan Town, Changli County, was arrested on June 15, 2008. Ms. Li Yurong from Sugar Plant Community, Changli County, was arrested at home on August 6, 2008. Their arrest warrants were issued only recently.
They have been placed in Changli County Detention Center and have been tortured by the guards.
On August 24, 2008, they began to hold a hunger strike. On September 6, 2008, the guards restrained them on a large plank and force-fed them. Several days later, they were so badly injured that they could not be force-fed again.
In addition, 46-year-old Mr. Jing Dechun from Wugezhuang Village, Matuodian Township, Changli County, and 40-year-old Mr. Wang Zhankui from HouMatuo Village, Qinhuangdao City,
are being detained in Changli County Brainwashing Center.
8. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province ] Zhan Zhigang and Fu Yanchun's Recent Evildoings
Zhan Zhigang is a police officer with the State Security Division in Wuchang City. Fu Yanchun (female) is the head of the Wuchang City 610 Office. For many years, they used dirty tricks to arrest practitioners, extorted money from them, and sentenced them to forced labor or imprisonment. Practitioners persecuted to death include Ms. Gao Xiufeng from Xingsheng Township and Mr. Zhang Yanchao from Xihuangqi Village, Lalin Town.
At about 3 p.m. on September 11, 2008, Zhan and Fu led police officers to break into the home of Mr. Zou, who is a doctor, and harassed him. As a result, Mr. Zou could not take care of his patients. His family suffered mental anxiety.
9. [Shandong Province ] Ms. Wang Caiwen from Shengli Oil Field Sentenced to Forced Labor
Ms. Wang Caiwen, in her 50s, is a staff member of Shengli Oil Field in Dongying City. In late August, she was arrested by officers from Dongying City Police Department and held in the police detention center. Several days later, she had a heart attack and was taken to a hospital. Later, she was taken to a brainwashing center operated by the oil field. After one week, she was taken by the police and her employer to serve two years in Wangcun Forced Labor Camp .

10. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Ms. Shu Xiang Arrested
At 2 p.m. on September 16, 2008, Ms. Shu Xiang, from Qizhen Village, Nanliyue Township, Quzhou County, was arrested by officers from Dahedao Township Police Station. Recently, officers from Dahedao Township Police Station have continued to harass practitioners.

At about 2 p.m. on August 11, 2008, Ms. Peng Gaohua was reported to the police by six or seven students who were unclear of the truth about Dafa. At 3 p.m. that same day, six or seven officers from Zaoziping Police Station, the State Security Division under the Dong District Police Department, and the State Security Division under the Panzhihua City Police Department broke into her home and seized her computer, Dafa books, and CDs. She was also arrested. At 2 a.m. on August 12, 2008, she was taken to Wanyaoshu Detention Center.
13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] The Whereabouts of Ms. Yuan Zhihui Unknown
At about 2 p.m. on June 17, 2008, Ji Yongqian, head of Xingmin Village and director of the Security Office in the Jinzhou District, along with an officer from Bianfang Police Station, arrested Ms. Yuan Zhuhui while she was at work at the Futai Plastic Tableware Factory. At 7 a.m. on June 19, 2008, she was taken to Fushun City Brainwashing Center. More than amonth later, she was taken back by Bianfang Police Station. Since that, her whereabouts has been unknown.

14. [Songyuan, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Zhong Arrested
On September 9, 2008, officers from Songyuan City Police Department and Changlong Township Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Zhong's home in the Changlong Township. They searched his home and arrested him. As of now, Mr. Wang has not been released.
15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrests of Mr. Mr. Cui Dejun's Relatives
On August 14 and 15, 2008, police officers from State Security Division under the Dalian City Police Department and the Wafangdian City Police Department arrested Mr. Cui Dejun's sister-in-law; his brother, Mr. Cui Decai, and his wife; and another practitioner, Mr. Sun. At present, Mr. Sun Decai is in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

At about 12 p.m. on September 11, 2008, when Mr. And Mrs. Liang Kunhua were buying MP3 players, the police arrested them.
22. [Chongqing City] Mr. Zhu Xinrong Placed in Solitary Confinement in Xishanping Forced Labor Camp
Before the Mid-Autumn Festival, Mr. Zhu Xinrong, who is in Xishanping Forced Labor Camp, was placed in solitary confinement. His family was prohibited from seeing him.
In addition, Mr. Li Changxing from the Jiangjin District was taken to Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in late August 2008. Mr. Jiang Xiqing was taken to the same forced labor camp on July 30, 2008.
23. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Xiaodong Sentenced to Forced Labor
On the morning of May 28, 2008, six or seven officers from Fengrun District Police Department and Shigezhuang Town Police Station arrested Mr. Wang Xiaodong while he was working on his farm. The officers from Fengrun District Police Department called Mr. Wang's parents, who are both in their 70s, in a bid to extort 200 yuan from them. His family went to the detention center to visit him but were not allowed to see him. They left clothes for Mr. Wang and asked the guards to give them to him.
His parents asked many people in authority and finally learned that Mr. Wang had been transferred to Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp. His family was still prohibited from seeing him.

24. [Chengdu, Sichuan] Ms. Liang Kunhua And Mr. Zhou Tingyue Arrested Again
Ms. Liang Kunhua, 64 years old, and Mr. Zhou Tingyue, 73, are both retired from
Sichuan Astronautics Professional Institute. At about 9 a.m. on September 10, 2008, they were arrested and their homes searched. Their whereabouts are unknown.
In 2001, they were detained for 15 days for distributing Falun Gong flyers. At that time, nearly 100,000 yuan from their pension was deducted. That money has never been returned to them.
25. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Gongluan Arrested
Ms. Yang Gongluan, in her 50s, is a technician at the No, 17 workshop of the Shuangyang Aircraft Plant in Anshun City. On July 18, 2008, she was arrested at home by police officers from the State Security Division. Her computer was also seized. In November 2002, she was detained in the No. 1 Detention Center in Anshun City for two months.
