1. [Shanghai] Supplemental 2001 Information about the Death of Mr. Li Baifan due to Torture
Mr. Li Baifan, about 40 years old, was a lecturer from the East China Normal University who was persecuted for practicing Falun Gong beginning in July 1999. He was held in the Dafeng Farm in Jiangsu Province and later transferred to the Shanghai Qingdong Farm. Police prohibited his family from meeting with him for two years. Mr. Li refused to give up Falun Gong and eventually died as a result of torture in a brainwashing center on April 14, 2001. The police refused to let his family see his body.
2. [Guan County, Shandong Province] The Persecution of Mr. Zhang Guangbao and His Wife
Mr. Zhang Guangbao and his wife from Xiedian Township, Guan County, went to attend his nephew's wedding on September 9, 2008. When they drove to the Donggucheng Town Inspection Station, police ordered him to show his resident ID card, which had been confiscated a long time ago. The police arrested him, but Mr. Zhang's wife escaped. Guan County Police Department's Domestic Security Division chief Chen Yuezhi ordered personnel from the township police station to take Mr. Zhang back to the county. He was released after two days of detention.
3. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Liqiu Arrested
Ms. Yu Liqiu, a teacher from the Dongfeng County No.3 Middle School, was arrested on the night of September 12, 2008, for distributing flyers about Falun Gong.
4. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Eighteen Practitioners Arrested
Eighteen practitioners from Laixi City were arrested on July 31, 2008. Seven of them were sentenced to forced labor, four were issued an arrest certificate, one was bailed out, and the other six were taken to the brainwashing facility in the Qingdao City National Security Education Center.
Personnel from the city 610 Office ordered practitioners' families to pay 3,000 yuan, but the families refused. Officials later ordered the village committee to pay them.
5. [Chongqing] Mr. Xiong Dahuai Sentenced to Five and a Half Years in Prison
Personnel from the 610 Office arrested Mr. Xiong Dahuai and Mr. Lu Qiang between April 28 and May 12 of 2008. Mr. Xiong was sentenced to five and a half years in prison and was taken to Yuzhou Prison in Chongqing between September 8 and September 14 of 2008.
More than 40 practitioners were arrested in Dianjiang County, Chongqing, during the Olympic Games.
6. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zeng Zheng Held in Wuhan City
Officer Xu Xuewen and others from the Wuxue City Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Zeng Zheng's home and arrested him on the afternoon of September 13, 2008. His whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Liaoning Province] Crimes Committed by Police in Jinzhou City
Personnel from the New Songshan District Police Department and Criminal Police Division chief Gao Zhuguo harassed several practitioners on the night of July 29, 2008, using the pretext of Olympic Games' security. They ransacked Mr. Li Chengwei's home in Qiaoniao Baijia Village. The police harassed Ms. Yang Sumei, Ms. Li Chunyun, and Ms. Xue Suqin from Shengli Village, and Ms. Mu Fulan, Ms. Tao Liyan, and Ms. Yang Xiuqin from Songshan Village. They coerced the above practitioners to sign documents and be fingerprinted.

8. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Still in Detention
Mr. Dong Keping, Ms. Liu Erjun, and Mr. Yang Zhixiong, who were arrested on August 6, 2008, are still in detention. Mr. Yang is in the Xiaobailou Brainwashing Center in Baoding City. Mr. Dong Keping and Ms. Liu Erjun are in the Xiong County Detention Center. Their families requested their release, but were denied. The police also denied the families' visits.

9. [Huai'an County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Persecuted During the Olympic Games
Ms. Yuan Fengying, in her 50s, is a resident in Shuigoukou Village, Huai'an Town, Huai'an County. Several village officials, including Yang Wendong, broke into her home and arrested her at 9:00 p.m. on July 18, 2008. They confiscated her ID card and several amulets(1).
They also ransacked 50-year-old Ms. Qiao Yuhua's home in the same village that night. They confiscated Dafa books, Falun Gong tapes, an MP3 player, a recorder, and her ID card. The officials ordered her to write a guarantee statement, but Ms. Qiao said that she was illiterate. Officer Yang Wendong grabbed one of her hands and wrote the statement. They also have someone monitoring and following Ms. Qiao.

10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Aixia Has Been Held for Six Months
Police from the Northern District in Qingdao City arrested Ms. Zhou Aixia from Pingdu Street toward the end of 2007. They ransacked her home and confiscated a picture with Master's image and several Dafa books.
Ms. Zhou has been held in the city's Dashan Detention Center for more than six months. Her disabled husband, 80-year-old mother-in-law, and two teenage children are left home.

Ms. Zhu Lin, Ms. Su Yan, and Ms. Gao have been released. Ms. Pu Yu was taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Guo Yulong was admitted to the Benxi City Forced Labor Camp on September 16, 2008.
17. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Facing Illegal Sentencing
According to incomplete statistics, more than 100 practitioners in Weifang have been arrested or harassed since June 2008. Ms. Zhang Ying and Mr. Liu Wanrong were sentenced to forced labor. Ms. Wang Dehua, Ms. Cong Mengyan, and Ms. Zhang Zhaoli had a large sum of cash extorted from them. About a dozen practitioners are being held in the Linqu County Detention Center. Mr. Liu Guodong, Mr. Liu Guozheng, Mr. Liu Shimin, and Mr. Peng Shiguo are facing illegal sentencing. Fifteen practitioners, including Ms. Sun Shoulan and Mr. Li Guolin, will be sentenced to forced labor. About 30 or 40 practitioners are being held in the Linqu Couny Brainwashing Center.

18. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] The Persecution of Ms. Cong Lixia
Four officers from the Wolitun Police Station's No.5 Division in Daqing City knocked on Ms. Cong Lixia's home at 8:00 p.m. on July 8, 2008. Ms. Cong refused to open up. The police ordered a neighbor to knock on the door. They then broke in and ransacked the place. Police arrested Ms. Cong and confiscated Dafa books. When Ms. Cong's daughter attempted to stop them from arresting her mother, she was also arrested and taken to Wolitun Police Station. She was held there for several hours and then released. Ms. Cong was taken to the same police station. Officers beat her, forced her to sign a document, and eventually took her to the city's No.3 Detention Center. She was held there for seven days and released on July 15, 2008.
