(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 19 cities or counties in ten provinces. Fourteen Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 57 practitioners were arrested.

Personnel from the Ke District Police Department's Domestic Security Division in Tongliao City have arrested more than ten practitioners since May 2008. The arrested practitioners included Mr. Liu Xiurong, Ms. Tian Fang, Mr. Tian Fujin, Ms. Fan Xiaoli, Ms. Tang Liwen, Ms. Yang Fenglan, Mr. Xiao Yonghua and Mr. Liu Jinghe.

Police arrested Mr. Tian from Dongmingwangtai Town, Rizhao City on August 28, 2008 when he talked about Falun Gong to people at a fair.

5. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xiaomei Arrested
Ms. Xiaomei, 40 years old, lives near the Bin River in the Western District, Zhengzhou City. She was arrested on July 9, 2008.
6. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Police from Wuwei City arrested seven practitioners including Mr. Zhang Shuiwu and his wife Ms. Lu Shuiying, Ms. Zhang Juxiang, Mr. Cai Guorong and Mr. Hu Jian. They ransacked Mr. Hu's home and confiscated a computer and a printer.
7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Hailun Street Police Station in the Sifang District, Qingdao City arrested two male practitioners, in their 40s, on August 25, 2008.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Jiang Ying Arrested
Ten officers from the Wulitun Police Station in the Hanyang District, Wuhan City arrested Ms. Jiang Ying at 10:00 p.m. on August 18, 2008. She is being held in a brainwashing center, in the Taojialing Law Education Center [another name for a brainwashing facility].

11. [Fenyi County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ding Jianhua Arrested in Shenzhen City
Personnel from the Fenyi County 610 Office in Jiangxi Province arrested Ms. Ding Jianhua in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province on July 18, 2008. Her uncle takes care of her three-year-old daughter. Ms. Ding's middle-school-aged son is left home alone.
12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cong Liang's Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Cong Liang from the Nanta District, Shenyang City went downstairs at 7:00 p.m on August 10, 2008. Ten minutes later, more than 20 plainclothes policemen broke into his home and confiscated a laptop computer, a desktop computer, three printers, a CD burner, a paper cutter, ten packs of printer paper, a cell phone and two MP3 players. The police stayed in his home for several days and arrested Ms. Wu Naiying, Mr. Liu Tingxiu and Mr. Zhang Qinghua who visited Mr. Cong. The persecutors also ransacked Mr. Liu and Mr. Zhang's homes.
Police later went to Mr. Cong's relative's home to arrest him. His whereabouts are unknown.
13. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ten officers from the Xinfeng Town Police Station in Guanghan City broke into Ms. Huang Mingxia's home at 1:00 a.m.on August 1, 2008. They arrested Ms. Huang, Mr. Wu Xianghu, Ms. Li Bizhen and Ms. Zhao Mingfu and took them to the police station. The police confiscated three tape recorders, 20 cassettes, ten videotapes, 20 copies of Zhuan Falun and a box of truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Wu and Ms. Li were later released, but Ms. Huang and Ms. Zhao are still held in the city detention center.
14. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Meng Zhaowen and His Wife Ms. Geng Shuqin Arrested
Personnel from West Shengli Street arrested Mr. Meng Zhaowen and Ms. Geng Shuqin from Shijiazhuang City at 10:00 p.m. on August 28, 2008. The couple is held in the city detention center.
15. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Longsha Court Plans to Imprison Four Practitioners
The Longsha Court in Qiqihar City planned to sentence Mr. Xue Yu, in his seventies, Ms. Sun Guixiu, Mr. Sun Yujie and Mr. Sun Dianshun to prison on September 2, 2008. The practitioners are currently held in the city's No.1 Detention Center.
16. [Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Peng Yueheng Arrested
Mr. Peng Yueheng rode a train from Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province to Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province on August 8, 2008, to pick up his mentally-impaired daughter. Personnel from the Guangyuan City Police Department arrested him, asserting that Mr. Peng had Falun Gong information on his removable computer disk. They put him in the city's detention center. Mr. Peng's daughter is left on her own.
17. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Xiuqin Arrested
Personnel from the Xixia District Domestic Security Division arrested 63-year-old Ms. Wang Xiuqin, a retired employee from the district's Huaxian Factory in Nanjing City, on August 12, 2008. She was put in the Women's Detention Center on August 13, 2008.
18. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Persecution of Ms. Zhang Guangyuan and Mr. Zhang Guangya -- 2002 information
Ms. Zhang Guangyuan lives in Lingshan Street, the Lishan District, Anshan City, Liaoning Province. Police arrested her on February 4, 2002. She is held in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison's No. 3 Ward, No. 8 Section, for a nine-year term. Though Ms. Zhang has hypertension and heart disease, the guards still forced her to work and won't release her.
Mr. Zhang Guangya lives at No. 3 Hongqi Street, Lingshan Street, the Lishan District, Anshan City, Liaoning Province. He was also arrested on February 4, 2002 and sentenced to eight years in prison. Mr. Zhang is held in Dalian City's Nanguanling Prison's No.10 Ward.
19. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Jiying from Nanqiao Town, the Fengxian District Was Arrested on the Night of August 22, 2008 for Distributing Falun Gong Flyers
20. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Jingxiang Tortured at the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Wang Jingxiang from the Dongli District, Tianjin City was tortured at the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp. She is currently extremely weak.
Ms. Wang shouted "Falun Dafa is good" in the labor camp, but division head Guo Ling ordered drug-addict criminals to stuff her mouth with a dirty cloth that was used to clean the floor. Ms. Wang could not breathe and nearly died. Later, the persecutors put her in a separate room and bound her to a bed in a spread-eagle position with handcuffs and shackles. Ms. Wang could not use restroom and eventually, she could not urinate because of damage to her bladder. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
Six days later, Huang Xiaoling, a doctor in the labor camp, force-fed her. Ms. Wang had stomachache and vomited into a dirty basin. The doctor re-fed her the contents of the basin. Later on, Ms. Wang suffered from many illnesses including myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, gastritis, gall-stone and urinary tract blockage. Officials in the labor camp wanted to shirk their responsibilities for her health crisis, so they allowed Ms. Wang's family to bail her out for hospitalization.
21. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Cai Huilian and Mr. Tang Xingrong
Ms. Cai Huilian from Miyi County was arrested and put in the county detention center on July 30, 2008. She ought to have been released on August 14, 2008; however, policeman Zhou Lin and others from the Domestic Security Division transferred her to an unknown location in the early morning and interrogated her under torture. Ms. Cai was sent back to the county detention center at 7:00 p.m. that day.
Policeman Zhou Lin and others from the Domestic Security Division handcuffed Mr. Tang Xingrong and hung him up. They burned his face with cigarette butt and interrogated him under torture. Police also confiscated a laptop computer, a CD burner and some white paper.
22. [Shanghai] Several Practitioners Arrested
The following is a partial list of practitioners arrested and the dates of their arrest:
Mr. Wang Zuoshan and his daughter from the Baoshan District, on May 7, 2008.
Police arrested Mr. Yang Yuhui and his wife Ms. Huang Ying from the Luwan District on July 28, 2008.
Ms. Wang Chenxiang from Changhua Street was arrested from her home on August 5, 2008.
Ms. Zhu from the Changning District was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor on August 23, 2008.
Ms. Tian Ruying from the Dinghai Area in the Yangpu District, on July 18, 2008.
Mr. Ma Guobiao and his parents Mr. Ma Dongquan and Ms. Jin Runfang from the Jiading District, on February 22, 2008.
Mr. Xiang Jian from the New Pudong District was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor on July 22, 2008.
Ms. Yingying from the Hongkou District was arrested and put into the city's forced labor camp in the middle of July 2008.

23. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Zhiping Held Twice in a Brainwashing Center
Xiaolong Town head He and personnel from the 610 Office and from the town's police station arrested Ms. Huang Zhiping twice and put her in a brainwashing center each time. The first time was between September 28 and October 24, 2007. The second time was during the Olympic Games, between July 18 and August 25, 2008.
24. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Dani Dead and Her Mother Arrested
Ms. Li Dani, in her 20s, was from Zengzhuang Xingzheng Village, Linquan County. She appealed for justice for Falun Gong in Beijing in 2000 and was persecuted. She has since died.
Her mother Ms. Liu Jingzhi was arrested again in June 2008.
25. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Personnel from the Yuhe Town Police Station Arrested Mr. Liu Haobin on July 9, 2008
26. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shanfen Arrested
Personnel from the Chenggezhuang Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Shanfen from Liujiaguanzhuang Village, Shiqiaozi Town, Zhucheng City on August 23, 2008. She was released on August 28, 2008. Ms. Zhang was tortured while detained and then sent to a hospital. Police extorted her family for 5,000 yuan for the hospitalization.
