(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Yurong is a practitioner from Cuiyan County, Linghai City, Jinzhou, Liaoning Province. On May 29, 2008 she and her sister were illegally arrested by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) police for practicing Falun Dafa. They were held captive for a month until they were put on trial on July 28. The court in Linghai City is controlled entirely by Communist Party members. Ms. Liu Yurong denied all of the court's accusations against her. One lawyer asked her whether she wanted to hire a lawyer. To that question Ms. Liu Yurong answered, "If you can enter a plea of 'innocent' for me, I will hire you. If you cannot, there is no need to even talk about it." In the end the trial concluded without any result.
Mr. Liu Yurong, is a 47-year-old politics teacher from Cuiyan County High School of Linghai City. Before she began practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Liu Yurong suffered from a variety of infirmities, including pyelonephritis, gastric ulcer, dizziness, type B hepatitis, and cholecystitis. After practicing for a few days however, all these problems miraculously disappeared. She lives her life according to the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance"and is regarded highly by those who know her.
About 4:00 p.m. on May 29, 2008, Ms. Liu Yurong went to visit her sister Ms. Liu Yuqing. While they were visiting, the heads of the Cuiyan County Police Station, Luo Zhongming and Jin Jingwen broke into Ms. Liu Yuqing's house and interrogated the two. They asked Ms. Liu Yurong why she was in Cuiyan county and whether she still practiced Falun Gong. The police officers demanded that the sisters curse Falun Dafa and its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, but when they refused, Jin Jingwen brutalized the two and "illegally arrested" them. They were then taken to the Cuiyan County police station where they were further abused.
The head of the Cuiyan Police Station, Luo Zhongming, ordered the Domestic Security Division of the Linghai Police Station to send a team to ransack Ms. Liu Yurong's house. On the same night that the sisters were arrested, a squad of police led by Liang Wenfu ransacked Ms. Liu Yurong's house, confiscating her TV, two computers, a printer, a DVD and other valuables worth over 20,000 dollars.
On May 30, Ms. Liu Yurong was sent to the No. 2 Detention Center of Jinzhou, while Ms. Liu Yuqing was sent to the Linghai Detention Center. She was held there for 15 days. Meanwhile, with her two daughters also incarcerated by the CCP, their 80-year-old mother was left with no one to take care of her.
