(Clearwisdom.net) Since May 30, 2008, 11 practitioners from Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, have been arrested.
1. Mr. Hu Jue is 66 years old. On the afternoon of May 30, several police officers broke into Mr. Hu's home. They arrested him and another practitioner in his house. The police ransacked the place and took all the Dafa books. His children do not live with him. When they discovered that their father was missing a few days later, they began to search for him. The local Jiangqiao Police Station in Zhenjiang City never informed the family. They said they did not know Mr. Hu's whereabouts when his family inquired.
2. Mr. Lin Lihong, 60 years old, was arrested at Mr. Hu Jue's home. Because he tried to resist, he was handcuffed and shocked repeatedly with electric batons.
3. Ms. Ma Jin is 60. At 6 a.m. on May 31, 2008, the police broke into Ms. Ma's home and arrested her. They ransacked her home and took her Falun Gong books. Her family was stunned and heartbroken.
4. Ms. Qing Li, in her 50s, and Ms. Qing Hua, in her 40s, are sisters. On May 31, they were arrested. The police ransacked their place and took their computer and materials used for truth clarification.
5. Ms. Zhang Ruihua, in her 50s, left her home in another county to avoid persecution and came to this city. She was also arrested.
6. Mr. Ning Lin, over 30, was secretly arrested in June 2008.
7. Mr. Gao Zhenjin is over 60 years old. On May 31, when he went to Helin Police Station to run an errand for his mother. He was illegally detained for 24 hours.
8. Ms. Liu Guifen is over 70 years old. In July, while she was walking outside, police officer Gao Zhiqiang (male) blocked her way and wanted to search her bag. Ms. Liu refused. Gao Zhiqiang called the police from the 610 Office. They rudely dragged her into a car and detained her for one day.
Among the 11 practitioners who have been arrested, five of them (Mr. Hu Yu, Ms. Qin Li, Mr. Ma Jin, Ms. Liu Guifen, and Mr. Gao Zhenjin) have returned home. Six (Mr. Meng Fuyun, Mr. Chen Gaoyun, Mr. Lin Lihong, Ms. Qin Hua, Mr. Zhang Ruihua, and Mr. Ning Lin) are being illegally detained in the Dongwu Hotel in Zhenjiang City.
